If workers were to be cut, I would have thought it would come from towards the top. I doubt Lethal would have been earning a particularly large amount of money.

The famous Lethal/Flair dueling promo, for your viewing pleasure (about 4 minutes in). That was the damnedest promo I've ever seen. Luckily for him, the new guy in charge at WWE is a huge Flair mark. I'd love to see Lethal thrive in WWE and show TNA what they missed out on. You know what I don't get?...Jay Lethal gets fired...yet Kiyoshi still has a job. Actually, Kiyoshi got the boot. Same day as Daffney, I believe. I've watched it about 5 times. Still amazing. The guy had Flair corpsing for crying out loud.

This is a joke, right? A very bad joke? Please, tell me this isn't happening.
Seriously though, Jethal has so much natural charisma and talent, he's only 25 year's old, and has s***-load's more talent than Hogan can ever dream of.
It's a f***in' sham, seriously. So, they have a 51 year old, who's gimmick is based on a character from a movie from 1997, the TNA World Championship. They have 3 non-draw's, which one is an embarrasment to be a wrestler, fueding for that said Title.
There is also a match being teased between two guy's who have an average age of 100 year's old. Neither of those two said people are draw's in 2011.
Lethal, go to the holy grail, please. Go to WWE, I beg of you. You'll get a shot to be big, actually be on television, and most of all, you'll get a chance to shine. You won't be pushed aside for non-talent's like Matt Hardy, Ken Anderson or Abyss, you'll actually be in matches, have a chance to showcase you talent's.
Lethal is a talented guy, and has alot of natural talent. I think he would do very well in a TNA run. He's also more of a ground wrestler, so he won't be doing unneccassary moonsault's like Kaval.

But not "more talent than Hogan could ever dream of", considering Hogan kinda did an alright job at this 'wrestling' thing, you know.

When it comes to workrate & ring ability, yeah, Lethal is miles ahead of Hogan. When it comes to everything else, Hogan is miles ahead of Lethal.

sounds like WWE has their "Jericho" for this era. Ah, if only I could have confidence that Lethal would do half as well as Jericho. He's good enough to go far - it would be a crime if he were anywhere lower on the card than Justin Gabriel, Kofi Kingston, or Santino - but I could more easily see him getting Kaval'd.

Nah, Lethal is like the anti-Kaval in that he is entertaining in his own right, whereas Kaval needs someone to play off of as the straight man. That said, I don't expect success anywhere near Jericho achieved but he should be a solid pickup for the E and be an entertaining mid carder for years.

If Jay Lethal becomes half as much of the star Jericho was for the E, TNA will be WCW 2.0.

Not really; WCW at least had some time on top and is still associated with many positives. At this rate, TNA will be remembered for stalling the careers of several talented wrestlers and going down in a blaze of lawsuits.

Sad thing is Jay Lethal is a guy who needs TNA. Yeah he could get a decent run in WWE but his size will cap him in the mid card and upper mid card at best. Its sad to see Russo and TNA creative kill the guy because he to me was one of the TNA guys as much as Joe or AJ or anyone else to me at least.
But as much as Jay Lethal needs TNA, TNA needs Jay Lethal. They could have used a unique talent like Lethal to establish their own brand and identity. The guy had some of the best mic skills since the end of the Monday Night Wars and was a very good in ring performer and to boot he is only 25.
The guy was over when he got the big push almost a year ago and its sad to see him leave. Even his early work in the PCS and as Black Machismo was good and got over. Russo you killed yet another career or at least wasted a lot of its talent.
The Jay Lethal career is almost a microcosm of TNA since Russo came in all the wasted potential, flawed philosophy, and failed repackagings and semi-pushes that weren't sustained is what TNA has been since 2006.
I have never been more disappointed in the mishandling of a talent in a long time Lethal is one of my favorite talents I hope he goes to the WWE and at least gets a fair shake.

Yeah Vince does understand the value of establishing new stars (Although he will run an established star for all its worth). However with Lethal I don't like his chances in WWE of being anything but a mid carder because of his size. I honestly could see WWE making him a Santino character that wrestles more often. Although I could see the WWE doing a lot with him as well. As I said in my post earlier all I want is to see him get a fair shake in the WWE.
