R.I.P
Had been watching OSW review Wrestlemania 7 earlier today was on my mind today.
In 1997 my interest in wrestling was waning and I think The Hart Foundation (can't believe there is only one left now) played a big part in find the spark again (that still continues with ups and downs to this day).
Other note, can't pretend it's the same as people who have had ongoing seizures, but I suffered a seizure, my first and only, earlier this year and was lucky to be around family but I woke up in a hospital with a broken shoulder, so I can somewhat identify with the seriousness of them.

A slip and fall of all things... damn... Some of the scariest deaths I've read of are the ones where someone slips, falls and literally dies. Buster Krabbe (the original Flash Gordon & Buck Rogers) tripped over a waste paper basket & fell in his living room, and had a fatal heart attack right there. And while there was a much graver situation at play which contributed greatly to his death (he was very drunk when it happened), William Holden slipped and his his head on a table, and because he was so out of it already he just bled out on the floor; had he been sober he'd have lived... To slip, fall and go into convulsions based on how hard Jim Neidhart hit his head....gods, just terrifying...

R.I.P. Jim Neidhart My condolences go out to Jim's family and friends. It's such a travesty that Jim hasn't yet gotten inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. It's such a shame that Vince McMahon didn't have the courage or decency to put Jim into the WWE Hall of Fame while Jim was still living. When Jim was still living, Vince constantly snubbed Jim when it came to consideration for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Jim should have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame many years ago.
It's so sad that Jim won't live to see his future posthumous induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. My belief is that Bret Hart will be the one that inducts Jim into the WWE Hall of Fame in the future. I also think that Jim's daughter Natalya will be at that future WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony to deliver the acceptance speech.

Jim also had major and public drug problems as little as a few years ago. And He did use the wwe sponsored drug rehab twice. This is neither the time nor the place top go into this.

When I was 8, my dad took my brother and I to our first wrestling show at the Philadelphia Spectrum. It was an A show; Hogan, Warrior, Bruti, Hacksaw Duggan. And we had seats right on the "good guy" aisle, so we got to slap hands/shoulders with all our favorites. These shows were also telecast monthly on local cable station PRISM. I still have the tape of my dorky little self reaching over the railing to give The Anvil a hearty slap on the back after he and the Hitman dispatched the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers. He's always been one of my favorites just for that little association.
RIP to one of my childhood faves.

This is the strangest timing for me. LAST NIGHT I was watching random Neidhart-specific stuff. I watched his Shotgun match against The Patriot (Patriot's last match ever), a tag match with he and Owen on Superstars, a King's Court with he and Jerry Lawler, and a few others. I looked him up on that Cagematch site to see what his last match was (he was tagging with Harry Smith 5 years ago). Then I thought about how crazy it was that he and Bret were the last survivors of The Hart Foundation. I go to bed and wake up, and he's gone.
I'll never forget the '97 Hart Foundation. Really sad to lose Jim. RIP

The end of Canadian Stampede '97 is even sadder to watch now.

He was on the first couple of Raws I've ever watched. Unfortunately he was basically a manager, I'm sad I never watched in on his prime.
Interestingly enough Bret admitted that early on Jim was the star of the team and more charismatic than him.

I first got into wrestling during the time of the '97 Hart Foundation vs the World angle so fond memories of everybody in that stable - just sad there's only one guy from it left. RIP Anvil.
