Man. That's hard to swallow. Really sad. Jim Neidhart is one of my favorite loveable goofballs (character wise) in wrestling.
All the best.

So yeah, dude was trying to push his agenda a little bit, thought so. Which, don't get me wrong, it's an agenda I support 100%, but dude shouldn't have done that on an instagram post, regardless of good intentions.

So Jim doesn't have Alzheimers? False alarm I hope? I mean pretty much a false alarm tell him or the family say something.

So Jim doesn't have Alzheimers? False alarm I hope? I was reading it as a case of he has the disease but his family didn’t want it as public knowledge.

My maternal grandfather had Alzheimer’s and it’s a wretched disease and just a terribly sad one.
All the best to the Anvil and his family.

Keep the family in your thoughts. This is sad for me. I was a huge Hart Foundation fan.

Has this been confirmed? If so this just sucks. A source like WWE has not confirmed it, but if there is someone I trust it is Patric Laprade who is a Canadian wrestling historian and also does the French language commentary for some WWE programming. He was the primary historian for the Andre the Giant documentary. He tweeted about it. Brian Blair also reported it and he is the President of the Cauliflower Alley Club. True, he was premature in announcing Brickhouse Brown's death, but that was a special circumstance in that he was presumed dead and a coroner was in the process of going to observe him when he suddenly awoke.

Very sad news. I was a huge Hart Foundation fan. The Hart attack was one of my favorite finishers. Loved the original tag team and the stable in 1997. It’s hard to believe Bret is the only member left. I always thought Neidhart was a great character. He had a different look and he was a fun promo. The way he would tug on his beard is such a small detail but it was such an iconic part of his character. It would always put a smile on my face. I feel fortunate that I got to see him live at MSG against Bret back in 1994. I don’t feel like I’ve seen enough of his pre-WWF stuff and I’ll be trying to search for more of it. My thoughts are with his family. RIP Jim Neidhart.

Even though it's my favorite year of wrestling, watching the Hart Foundation in 1997 gets sadder and sadder. RIP

Every time I grow my facial hair out, either my dad or my brother asks if I'm trying to grow a Jim Neidhart goatee. I always said no, we laugh that his name keeps coming up from out of nowhere, and yet pretty much always tried (to have the patience, usually) to grow a Jim Neidhart goatee. In recent years I'm come to realize it's gonna grow more like Lou Albano's, but I always stroke it and laugh in those moments I need to cheer myself up.
A small & weird tribute, I know, but his name's come up so many times over the years when it otherwise wouldn't have and it's always made people close to me smile often. Can't think of a better remembrance.

Just as I was reading the thread, I got the official word through WWE's app. Very sad, working in healthcare, I've seen what both Alzheimer's and dementia can do to a person. Thoughts and prayers with the entire extended Hart family at this time.
