I guess Ice Train would have had a different partner. WCW Saturday Night would have had another African American wrestler like Bobby Walker and Hardbody Harrison who wasn't used much on the main programs. And nothing of value would have been lost. None of those guys were anything special with the exception of Ice Train, who I'll always argue was far better than Ahmed ever was even if he didn't have the same intensity.

but zangief told me to change it Seeing a Sagat who's much shorter than Bison will always be jarring. He's supposed to be 7'5" but looks barely 5'7".

I still don't think he's any better than numerous other wrestlers on the roster with similar size like Rowan, Swagger, Harper, and Cesaro. He did a great job of getting beat up by Brock and looking like a badass I guess, but would the others really have done any worse in that regard?
I'm not saying he's a hack but at the same time I don't get why he's annointed with the "great potential!" label when he's around the same age as the others and has impressed me the least of the lot. Look must account for even more than I realized.

This is an outrage! Everybody know, wants to know, that those aren't the REAL Spook Chasers!

Any time a jobber would get a few moves in on the star, then turn to the fans and start celebrating......only to be killed with a brutal clothesline or kick to the face. La Parka is the all-time king of this. I friggin' loved his antics.

You could tell right from the get-go that you were watching an absolutely elite athlete not just in wrestling, but on the planet.

When he's the most talented and/or over wrestler on the roster.
That isn't happening any time soon, so whenever Vince just can't contain himself anymore.

Shawn Michaels being a bigger star than he actually is. WWE loves to present it as he's in the upper echelon, when he's nowhere near Hogan, Rock, Austin, Andre, Gorgeous George, Bruno, Savage, Piper, Warrior, Flair, and Foley. Hell on the Monday Night War episode about DX they made it seem like if not for his injury Shawn would have taken the WWE to the top, and he's the leader the fans missed out on. I'd say the Monday Night Wars series in general...and the DVD. They like to bring Show out whenever possible to bad mouth them. Which is a riot in and of itself, since Show was gifted a huge push out of the gates and transformed from a fit, incredible athlete for a man his size to out of shape and at LEAST 75 pounds heavier around the time he left the nWo and became Lex's babyface buddy, then put on MORE weight once he rejoined the nWo again. WCW screwed up a ton of can't-miss prospects and angles, but as a loyal viewer from the show's peak '96-'98 run, Paul Wight had only himself to blame for not becoming a bigger star as opposed to just getting bigger.

This RAW was shit. Just a giant turd that Vince squatted over the arena and let plop in front of a camera. This requires the "Vince impersonating JR" pic for visual aid.

20 minute Owen Hart promos every week. Yikes. It would have been better than the crappy ego-fests we ended up with instead.

Let's be honest here. They just didn't want him around when Rikishi was on stage. Rikishi would've had to run, lickity split! But he couldn't run because of that FAAAAAAAAAAAT ass!

This begins and ends with Steamboat, who is as talented an in-ring performer as anyone there's ever been yet made all of his opponents look formidable.

Roman Reigns has nice hair...in fact, if he had a bald spot he'd probably be in the low-midcard.

No legit tough guys existed before MMA, just a bunch of drunken brawlers. Yes, but you left out the part where the toughest wrestler, by practically all accounts, "carefully selected his opponents" from the drunkards they exclusively fought. We can't forget that!

I noticed that too, started laughing to myself. Hope it was a joke, because if not, damn Nash, your legs must be made of string cheese. They're about the same thickness.

I don't hate him at all, but he DESPERATELY needs a clean win over an established main event level talent. I honestly think the best thing for his credibility is to get a win back against the Undertaker in a non-Wrestlemania rematch, which is unlikely given that's apparently the only day out of 365 the guy can be bothered to wrestle.

People picking a guy based on likely lies of fights with drunks over a man who legit won the heavyweight in MMA shows how wrestlers are justified in thinking fans are still marks. Brock has proven himself in a public setting for all earth to see - Haku hasn't. There is no debate. f***ing ludicrous. Unproven =/= Untrue Saying that Brock would definitely win is also ludicrous in your scenario. Of course Brock would be who you would put your money on, but you're trying to prove a definite when there are unknown factors (in this case: Haku's true skill). Someone claiming a certainty when they themselves admit that they don't know all the facts are, in my opinion, more ignorant than those betting on the dark horse. You can't say "there is no debate" and selfishly try to shut the discussion down when the whole argument centers around an unknown, and debatable, factor. Excellent post. Brock will get the majority of the public opinion through a combination of recent feats, being the most dominant and one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE history, and this perception that "Meng just beat up drunks in a bar!", but Meng from all accounts only really showed his teeth when provoked as opposed to competing in a sport watched by millions. I will say this, Meng's athleticism is being grossly overlooked in this thread. He probably had the most raw strength on the roster in his prime, and was unbelievably coordinated and agile for his size. Dude was thick as a wall and could throw out kicks that made Michaels' look pathetic. This is basically a "my dad could beat up your dad!" subject and impossible to say definitively.

What a crock. As if he can say anything after the hatchet job he took to Sting's career in Starrcade 97.
