I wish he and Ventura could call matches forever. Those two were just perfect together, even more so than Monsoon and Heenan. I used to love hearing them go from argumentative to mutual respect to agreement once in a while. It was a fascinating dynamic and it made anything they called seem important.
They made the Rude-Warrior pose down sound like a legitimate event. Compare that to the ridiculous Steiner-Hunter one. The announcers make all the difference in the world, and this is comparing them to Ross-Lawler!

The very concept of the subject line has me in stitches.
"So when does Roman get his turn?"
You mean before or after he was the recipient of the most obnoxiously forced push in wrestling history?

Is the general consensus that Michaels vs Taker at WM25 was the main catalyst for this trend?

Something always looked off about that tank top of his. The cut of it in the front was way too low, as if it was designed to be a cleavage window for a female athlete.

This company is run by spiteful, backwards-thinking, out of touch morons.

At this point, I don't see how keeping the title on him is going to help the product at all He's a ridiculously over performer and a once in a lifetime talent...neither of which can be said for his opponent.

Wouldn't surprise me if he's ripped. Tony Horton of P90X fame is ridiculously fit by any standard and is older than Sting.

Essentially, his idea is for Seth to cash in during the main event, rather than after, while both guys are down. He Curb Stomps Lesnar and wins the title. That way, you don't pin a loss on Reigns and you can take the title off of Lesnar without any real shenanigans. That allows Lesnar to take some time off and you avoid doing any irreparable damage to Reigns. www.stormwrestling.com/032515.htmlBecause heaven forbid Reigns doesn't look strong!

I swear HHH's feud against Lesnar was just one giant vanity project for HHH. I always interpreted Trips' foam around his midsection following his entrance before their match at Wrestlemania was the result of Hunter no longer being able to contain himself that he was going over Lesnar clean as a whistle on the biggest stage of them all. The problem with Hunter, much like with Reigns, is that in kayfabe and in reality Brock outclasses them in every conceivable category in a physical contest.

Meng has the best ever (Michaels' looks like a love tap in comparison), but Rusev's is as close to it as I've ever seen.

I don't know whether these stories are hilarious or just sad.

Scott Steiner's random "HUH/HAH?" while looking out at the crowds.
Meng had a few; there was his "HEEEEE-VAAAHH!" and "OH---HOHOHOHO!"

Dude just isn't that great. Bottom line.
I don't see what he has in terms of talent over guys with 1/10th of his push and similar size like Swagger, Cesaro, Harper, Rowan, etc. aside from "the look."
This has to be the most transparent forced push in such a short span of time I've ever seen, especially for a babyface.

They should have went the early Cena route with Reigns. WWE actually took the time to build him up. Fans knew why they liked Cena all those years ago. His first big WrestleMania match was for the U.S. Title. This should be where Reigns should be right now. By building him up...WWE gave fans a reason to like Cena from WM 20 until WM 21, but they have given ZERO reason to like Reigns. Why should I as a viewer like him?...his looks?...lol. His great promo skills?...lol Just why the hell should I like him? This is the truth. At the end of the day, it's a ton of sizzle and about two bites of steak.

This is not a conversation we should be having about the man who is about to become the World Champion of the biggest wrestling company in the world. "Well, that wasn't entirely terrible. He's getting better. In fact, he's almost decent now." Normally I'd say "eh, a guy doesn't have to be a great promo to main event", but given the money Vince burned to put Reigns in this spot and all the insane stuff they've done attempting to get him over, criticizing him over promos becomes much more justifiable. This reminds me of a match David Flair had against El Dandy, with Ric and Arn standing at ringside. At one point David performed a rudimentary vertical suplex as Ric clapped approvingly, as if this basic wrestling move was an exemplary achievement that deserved praise. Obviously Reigns isn't as green as David was, but the standards are being set way too low for him to have "good" anything.
