They got this huge push feuding with WWE Women's tag team champs Judy Martin & Lelani Kai who had been repackaged as the golden girls managed by Jimmy Hart. They won the belts and then shortly disappeared after that. I guess they went back to Japan. I always wondered what happened to them myself. I suspect they dropped the belts back to the golden girls because several months later after not seeing them on TV in a while I saw Kai & Martin listed as WWE Women's tag champs in an issue of PWI yet never saw any word about it on all the WWE TV shows I watched back then. Like there was ever any need for a Women's tag belt anyways but the Angels were great.

for you young people. Durring the 80's WWF(E) pretended they were the only organization in existence and never acknowledged other promotions. You'd really have to watch to catch the slightest subliminal jab like the case with Virgil(who's a real jerk BTW)
The NWA(WCW) on TBS were a little more blatant in their jabs with out mentioning the competition's name. Like for example they had a jobber(featured before in the "Jobber of the Week") named Terry Hogan who looked just like Hulk Hogan but fatter and way shorter and he got creamed on a weekly basis.
In the early days of the Monday night wars, Vader debuted in WWE and on Nitro they'd show highlight video clips on Hulk Hogan and other WCW stars beating up Vader but not mention his name just talk about what great stars THEY had.
With both savage & Hogan in WCW, WWE had the Ultimate Warrior return for his 3rd run and they ran a high light reel on him talking about beating Hogan for the belt, and retiring Savage as a way to say they had the better guys.

She came from the Dizon Modeling agency in San Francisco! I'm not joking it's true! Chris Dizon is a friend of mine and I met her when she was participating in the Diva search.

I live in SF and I was looking for it on KRON. I was puzzled. It's the first Smackdowm after WM so you know it's worth watching. My friend e-mailed me the spoiler info which I'm sure is posted here about Swagger cashing in his MITB $ to easily Pin a fallen jericho for teh Heavyweight title.

I like them a lot! I love how they ware the Hart Colors(all though I didn't care for last nights new pink & white look) They represent tradition especially Natalya and David(Harry) Hart Smith. I hope they get the push they deserve and become the new break out stars of WWE.
Harry(David Hart ) Smith wrestled for Big Time Wrestling several times and even held the BTW title. If you haven't seen it before here it is again Natalya(then known as Naddie) challenging former WWE Women's Champ Ivory for the Canadian Super Girl's title at aBTW in 2006 before she was in WWE!

I've seen wrestling stars at the Adult Entertainment Expo(AVN) in Vegas every year. Gangrel is now directing,Major Guns(Tylene Buck) does Girl on Girl porn films. I saw Jimmy Yang Wang and the Miz one year and Luther Reigns was there with his girlfriend who does porn. Lots of mainstream celebrities go to these, nothing to be shocked about.

Not mentioned is Debra. When she was in WCW talking trash behind the late great Nancy "Woman" Sullivan/Benoit's back and other people were some of the funniest promos ever!
As annoying and unattractive as she is, Vickie Guerero is the best female on the mic today in WWE. In TNA ODB and Angelina Love(especially when she was part of the Beautiful people) are brilliant!

This is what I've been thinking. Personally I don't care to see The Undertaker in singles action AGAIN with Sean Michaels or Edge. How can they top those other WM classics? Obviously a triple threat between the 3. Looks like they're heading in that direction if you ask me since WWE tends to be predictable. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing those guys against each other in a triple threat what do you think?

They wasted all that time recapping the events leading u[ to the match. McCool's mic Tirade and post match humiliation when the actual match was about 10 seconds, basically they filled the time of an average match with all that BS to cover up for the fact Michelle McCool can't wrestle!

I can't believe in 2009 almost 2010 people are still saying that. I 've been a wrestling fan for over 34 years (I'm 43) and would put up with that (when I was a kid I thought it was real) or even worse be looked down upon for liking it. I come from an era where it wasn't wise to admit you liked wrestling. Today it's more accepting and I haven't heard anyone tell me it's fake in many years especially Now that it's all out in the open, but when someone does I give them crap that they're behind the times!

He didn't mention something, and that part was not edit out on WWE Classics On Demand. I don't know what WCW deal was? They were trying to half way it, they either should not mention Louie at all, or tried to act a little respectful. They did improve when Rick Rude died, since all his time at WCW he was a despecable heel, last time he was in WCW he was an NWO member. They acknowledge his death, but didn't say anthing nice nor negative about him. They didn't give him a In Memory dedecation at the beginning of their shows. They just casual mentioned it during the broadcast of Thunder, while the WWF did a whole feature on Rude.I don't know why WCW had such an issue with showing respect for deaths of heels, WCCW handled Gino Hernandez death better. They didn't completely break kayfabe, but they showed respect at best they could. I don't remember that. Does anybody have video footage of it? In WWE's tribute to Rick Rude, talk abour breaking Kayfabe they revealed even though his wrestling persona was that of a swinging ladies man he was in fact married with kids and a devoted family man. Crushed my image because I thought he really lived the character. oh well.

That wasn't a real wedding at Summer Slam. They had all ready been married for many years. C'mon he got jumped by Jake Roberts in that. I heard a rmor the wedding angle was to help spice up what was a troubled marriage atthe time and well we know how that wound up!

Not Really. As mentioned earlier it was revealed they were brothers when they were in ICW and that meant Savage's last name was really Poffo. They wrestled together in Memphis as a a tag team with their dad Angelo managing them yet it was still the brothers Savage & Poffo. No one thought Andre The Giant's last name was "The Giant".

Savage had all ready returned to being a heel and became the macho King when the Genius debuted. there was never an angle or anything about changing from leaping Lanny to the Genius. just one day out of the blue the Genius was introduced and of r the first time ever Poffo was given some kind of push but still jobbed a lot.
The King coronation is seen in the Mach man anthology DVD. I was always frustrated they never admitted they were brothers. Jobber Barry O. was Cowboy Bob Orton's brother but that was never revealed either. Yes he's Randy's Uncle for all you tots out there!
Of course you all remember the Rougeau brothers who were a top tag team there. Later Raymond Rougeau would become an announcer and Jacques Rougeau became part of the tag team the Mounties(or Quebecers) One night on Raw Raymond interviewed the Mounties but the topic of them being brothers wasn't revealed.

Yeah that ODB clip is objectional but she's not taking her clothes off. BTW has been in existence as a promotion for 13 years. I'm sure there's other promotions or shows around the country using the same name. here in the San Francisco Bay area, "Big Time Wrestling" was the name of the local TV show for the NWA version of the territory run by promoter Roy Shire in the 70's.
The shoddy looking clips you see in the beginning are from the old 70's show. the one interviewer Alan Bolte is our ring announcer. So the name of the promotion is a homage to the old TV show.
It's hard to tell but in the opening 70's clips feature Ed Wiskowski (later Col. Debeers in the AWA) "The Golden Greek" John Tolos,Jimmy Snuka, & the late Playboy Buddy Rose.
