As the rightful prince to WCW's throne, they need to find Alex Wright to do a segment with Daniel Garcia.

Still the same as in "nah this isn't good enough and AEW ain't doing a good job at improving it." I was saying day one they need to do better and people kept hitting me with the "well uh they don't have the right guys signed so-" comments. Well, they signed those guys and then I was hit with the "well uh, black wrestlers can't be pushed at the top of the card and they gotta build them up give em time" excuse. Well, they've been there for years now and the same stuff's happening. It goes back to my initial point that all those were just lame excuses for a bad problem TK has and it's been the same with this as towards the lame ass women's division. He ain't doing it, it ain't improving. I predicted that it'll be 2024 at the earlier until we get a black world champion and shit, that's probably gonna be it at the earliest. That's 5 years later so yea. We still in the same spot because TK cares more about other stuff like keeping angry Punk and his likes happy than doing other things. So yeah, still unsatisfactory. They need to do better, and I've said it for a while now. It's funny to read through the thread and watch as the excuse went from "they need more time" to "what really is a main eventer". If you continually have to make excuses for someone (hey, like Punk!) then it's probably because you just don't want to acknowledge there being a problem to begin with. Like, AEW clearly knows how to build guys and protect guys. MJF, Kenny, Hangman, Mox, Cole, Bryan, etc always get presented as a big deal. Swerve just doesn't feel cared for in that way. They've tried things with him, but they feel staunchly half-assed. Starks has been positioned well at times but lacks a real clear story arc. Which isn't to say that Starks or Swerve or Hobbs is as good as an Adam Cole, but they know what presenting a wrestler as a big deal entails. And they haven't really done that with any of these guys for longer than a few weeks. And there have been plenty of top talent who have had their plans derailed by suspensions or injuries or timing, whatever. So we can't really say guys like Starks or Swerve are snakebit. Like, Starks got injured at the wrong time, but Cole came back from injury full speed booking into a huge program. Tons of promo time, tons of segment time, going on last in this huge Wembley show. It becomes a 'chicken or egg' deal where you can't put X in that position because they aren't that big of a star, but they'll never be that big of a star if you don't put them in that position.

I had no problem with him coming back if he could do it professionally, which he isn't capable of as everyone knew. He became bitchy Punk again in record time and got hammered down accordingly. Good riddance. I don't really care if he goes back to WWE since I don't watch it anyway.

TCU has definitely regressed. They lost their feature back, their Heisman nominee QB, thier #1 WR, Jim Thorpe award winning DB, an All-American guard Avila. They aren't really comparable to last year's team. You see it a lot in the clear 2nd tier programs. The Bamas, the Georgias, the OSUs, they reload with guys who are just as good, maybe better. But teams like TCU, last year was a perfect storm. Same with Utah this year, this is like their year to push to contend. But they don't have the bluechip recruits nor the title of football factory to not lose a beat. Having said that, Colorado is worlds better than they were last year. They look like a 7-9 win team, which is a real turnaround from last year. Granted, they're going to get overtalked and overrated coming out of today, because of Deion, but it's really impressive what he's been able to do. He's a hell of a salesman, to get top recruits to consider a program that has been an also-ran just because he's there. Yeah, this was sort of a perfect storm of Colorado being much more improved than last year and TCU not being as good. TCU got overrated and I think the same will happen with the overreaction for Colorado It is a good story and I think 7-9 is vast improvement that they should look forward to but the good vibes won't last long. That defense still gave up massive points. It took a historic performance to win which credit to them but you can't sustain that Yeah, that defense would need to crack down once they faced Williams and USC, Oregon, and Utah with their QB healthy.

Safe to say TCU just embarrassed themselves out of the CFP this year and now the narrative turns to if last year was a fluke or not for that program. Amazing what two games will do to you. I thought Colorado would get stomped but those players played hard for coach Sanders, so props to them. TCU had their best season in 85 years. Not really embarrassing, they just got beat by the best team in the nation. Georgia spanks teams like USC, Washington, or Penn St last year by 80, and Michigan by the same amount as TCU.

So uh... Colorado definitely looks like a better team than last season Like some people could argue maybe TCU has regressed but a lot of these new players for Colorado seem very legit on offense. I really wanted to take Utah/Florida under, but I'm sticking with just hammering NCST -14. This is what we call a double bad beat... Bad beats are a part of the game.

I really wanted to take Utah/Florida under, but I'm sticking with just hammering NCST -14. I took Utah ML, NCST 1Q Over 14 and and UFC/Kent State Under 61.5 That bum ass late TD with 50 seconds left made the game 62 Ouch. Week 1 is always a mixed bag. Hopefully the coming weeks even us out.

Acuna becomes the first player in history to hit 30 homers and steal 60 bases in a season. Barring a complete collapse, or Mookie going beyond God Mode, Acuna's got the MVP locked up. Now that Shohei is a one-way player, Acuna is the best player in baseball. He's only 13 batting average points behind Luis Arraez, who is an amazing contact hitter. He might get to 100 RBI. He might get to 140 runs. He's a freak of nature.

Haaaaated it. Who needs selling or ring psychology anymore? Let’s just spam moves because we’re invincible. Garbage. Spam big movez until the match ends via rollup.

It's wild that Dominguez is still only 20. I've heard about him forever and his minor league career has been a bit of a roller coaster.

The Yankees didn't even have the guts or professionalism to tell the best centerfielder in Yankee history that he was being placed on waivers, he found out from ESPN. What a joke. Yeah Joe DiMaggio is trash compared to Harrison Bader. Mickey Mantle couldn't hold Bader's jock strap. Oh you think that was a reach? Now you know how we feel....

This match was perfect. It wasn't a technical clinic, but it was just fun pro wrestling. Sting's career at this point reminds me of when you have a senior dog. Every little moment is a mix of sad and very happy. We know it's coming to an end, but not missing the sunset today worrying about tomorrow. He's the last of my childhood heroes still going, and that 2nd table spot was the happiest I've been watching a wrestling match in a long time.

That's what I hate about a lot of docs. They just care about the story through the scope of the people they got rights to and footage of and availability to. Like the Jerry Jones doc Netflix is making. It's a story that would 100% worth being told. But it's gonna be Jones' idea of reality and not what actually happened and his real issues. You'd have to pay me big money to ever consider watching it. It's gonna be trash. I don’t know. Jerry Jones is probably near Vince McMahon levels of insanity and his version of reality could be some funny shit. I hope he tries to explain firing Jimmy Johnson and hiring Barry f***ing Switzer. LMAO. Plz no. We've been subject to Vince's revisionist history, and it's eyeroll-inducing not entertaining.

Judging from the reaction of the CFB community, Swamp Kings is up there for the worst. It was apparently just an Urban Meyer puff piece. I haven't watched it. That's what I hate about a lot of docs. Patrios cut Bailey Zappe What a huge mistake imo, dude's gonna get picked up somewhere immediately, might even start in Arizona lol I think the Patriots probably looked at the list of teams ahead of them on waivers and felt it was worth the risk to expose Bailey Zappe to waivers on the possibility that he'd return to them on the practice squad. The waiver wire order - which is the reverse of last season's final standings - is as follows: Bears, Texans, Cardinals, Colts, Broncos, Rams, Raiders, Falcons, Panthers, Saints, Titans, Browns, Jets, and then Patriots. The only team I could realistically see putting in a claim on Zappe would be the Browns, with the hope that he'd be a more reliable backup than Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Everyone else either has their QB room set (Titans, Panthers, Falcons, Broncos) or will be spending 2023 actively tanking, so why invest in the quarterback position (Texans, Cardinals, Rams). Can you claim your own player that you waived? I don't think you can, but I'm not positive.
