Jesus Matt needs to dial it WAY back. He's got decades of wear and tear on his body as it is, and the whole Broken Deletion Cycle set him up with a gimmick that should be able to puff out enough smoke and mirrors to let him keep going while limiting actual matches to light character work.
Dunk Sammy in the lake at your house to end the feud. Don't f***ing fall head first into concrete ever again, you crazy bastard.

That was just sad. I haven't followed his indie career so I just remember Evan Bourne looking great and then wrecking his WWE career with drugs and apparently f***ing up his ankle. Then he shows up here with this stringy hippie look and nearly killing himself botching his signature move instantly after entering the ring.
It was like Jeff Hardy's downward spiral summarized in thirty seconds.

Even with AEW's other impressive hosses, Archer's got something else that puts him a step above them all IMO. There's this extra viciousness to everything he does, even just the way he carries himself while walking around the ring.
I wanted Mox to have long reign, but I legit think Archer beating him might be the better outcome.
We never did get that Best Friends / Lucha Bros street fight.
Along with them vs SCU, the Lucha Bros' AEW career is basically an extended cycle of feuds that fizzle out and get dropped when they keep getting cheered over the guys they're supposed to be putting over.

Right now, it looks increasingly likely that Roman's legacy is going to be having been the face of WWE when the company's monopoly on wrestling in the US finally collapsed due to their inability to adjust to the times or put on a product remotely appealing to anybody under 50. The best case scenario for Roman is that he doesn't get blamed personally for WWE's failures.
Oh man, who had "Kevin Nash turns babyface" on their 2020 bingo card?
"Don't be a mark for the business, you're here to make money, get the best deal you can" has pretty much been Nash's attitude forever. A lot of wrestlers from every era would be a lot better off if they followed his example instead of letting love for pro wrestling blind them to how flagrantly they're exploited.

Unless they'd already worked out a deal to buy AEW, they'd be utterly mad to do this. Acknowledging the competition and treating them like an equal would just legitimize AEW as a credible alternative.

This is how WWE's treated tag teams all century; they're short term angles to get one or both members over for their subsequent singles runs. Practically the only guys who've escaped this are the Usos thanks to nobody being able to tell them apart.

If they're finally going to put Sheamus back where he belongs in the main events, the best option would be switching brands to feud against McIntyre IMO.

Debut some guys from NXT with a promo where they pull off their black hoodies/masks and gloat about how they were showing off that no one on the roster is safe from them. Then have them compete on the main shows in normal matches and go for some of the titles. Never mention Retribution again. The end.

Like every other gimmick they whip out, the Thunderdome buys them a ratings spike for a week or two, and dissipates when everybody watching sees that the underlying product is the same as always.

Heyman should recruit Rollins too, and they should all wear black tactical gear and do the three fists pose together, and act like they've always been a unit and any old photos you might see with a thinner, less-balding third guy are just a sign Paul hasn't aged well.
