It's actually worrying when you think about how much the WWE landscape changed between Hogan's reigns in 1993 and 2002. And when you look at how much the Hulk Hogan character developed over that 9 year period. And then compare it to how the Miz is still the doing the same tired act on the same tired looking WWE landscape as he did when he first won the title.

Reading this thread has made me realise just what a fascinating knock on effect Warrior staying would have on the WWF during this period. If Warrior stays... -Does he win the title, thus relegating Bret from the main event? - Does he heel? - Does a face Warrior mean Perfect and Luger remain heels. - Does a feud with Flair mean that Ric stays until his contract officially runs out in late '93. - Do you still need Hogan to come back to headline Wrestlemania? - Does Yokozuna still get rocketed to the title? I've also heard that either Warrior or a heel Bulldog were due to get the Mania title shot. It's also the first year that the winner got the Mania title shot. Maybe they don't use the title shot stipulation in the Rumble if a more established name challenges Bret? (Although, given the previous Rumble winner won the title, it's hard to see them not using that stipulation) Flair would have still left early, as McMahon wanted Flair and Savage to be part-time wrestlers. Flair wanted full-time, so Vince used the early release as leverage for getting Luger into the WWF earlier. Flair still has a loser leaves the WWF match in January in the first attempt to bump a rating, but that's more likely to be against Savage or Warrior. Heenan could blame Perfect, turning Perfect face, so Luger still faces Perfect at Wrestlemania, as they clearly wanted Luger to go over a big name. The Hogan deal got tied up at the end of January, as Beefcake mentions him on the first Raw of February, but WCW were sniffing around him, so Vince would have gone for him anyway. Yokozuna probably doesn't get the rocket strapped to him, so either Bossman puts Yokozuna over on the way out instead of Bigelow, or the Duggan match gets bumped to the PPV, to keep Yoko out of the Rumble. I'd have been ok with a Bret v Heel Bulldog rematch at Wrestlemania 9. Also I now really want to see a high impact 5 minute Yokozuna v Bam Bam Bigelow match. I think it could have been a hell of a big man match in '93.

A good example of this is during the build to Summerslam '99.
In the few weeks leading up to the show the main even goes from Austin v Triple H, Austin v Chyna, back to Austin v Triple H and then Mankind gets shoehorned into it making it a triple threat. Oh, and Jesse Ventura gets added into the mix too because...reasons

I'm more horrified Bret Hart was only in the $3 tier, Kurt Angle in the $2 tier and Mr Perfect in the $1 tier of the men's version. All in all it's a bit of harmless fun that i've seen done with every major team sport. Seems a bit of an over-reaction, but I might feel a tad slighted if I found myself in the bargain bin $1 tier! Also JBL3 and Mankind 1? The f*** Man, I didn't even notice that. You could poll 100 wrestling fans and I think 99 of them would swap those two around.

I don't see them going for a breakup angle because I'm not sure they would go for a Savage/Warrior ppv feud for a 3rd straight year during 1993. But also I don't see the team lasting for a long time. I always felt that the Ultimate Maniacs team was initially used as a way of transitioning into Flair/Warrior and Savage/Razor singles feuds.

If I think of a a brand during the split era I immediately think of
Raw- Reign of terror era Triple H
Smackdown- Edge during the mid-late 2000s
Not necessarily my favourite periods or wrestlers, just who I associate with the red and blue brands the most.

Don't promote 3rd party things. Do, however, continue to party in groups while maskless. I mean, who needs rules for that when you can just hand responsibility to the state of Florida, a place with one of the highest COVID death rates in America (around 2,000 this month alone) and a COVID policy which cares about the economy more than people? No, take away their ability to promote themselves as independent contractors, makes all the sense in the world. www.statista.com/statistics/1109011/coronavirus-covid19-death-rates-us-by-state/Florida is nowhere near the highest. It's actually in the middle despite the hysteria about it not locking down.

I think Prime Time Wrestling was my favourite. I loved the roundtable bantering in between matches.

I find it odd that Jericho and Undertaker only ever faced one on one on a few random Smackdown episodes around 2009/10. Strange that they never had a long feud or a big PPV match.

I think it makes for some fascinating knock on effects.
I think Owen becomes a legit main eventer Vince pays Bret to stay due to him needing a main eventer Ric Flair comes back to the WWF in 1998 Rock & Triple H pushes begin sooner (possibly to their detriment)

Macho Man. He could still go, had unfinished business with Yokozuna from the '93 Royal RUmble, plus we would see more of that wonderful stars and stripes attire that he briefly wore.

From this point on Goldberg should only be used to spear annoying twerps like The Miz. No matches, no promos. He just appears, spears and leaves.

This is as close to a coin flip as possible. But Heenan's amazing commentary edges my vote to 1992.

Added 2 more to my list
Unchartered 3. I really enjoyed venturing around so many different places, they all looked absolutely stunning. Though the lack of a significant final battle was a tad disappointing. Very good, but not as good as Unchartered 2.
And also I completed Ghostbusters: The Video Game from 2009. I loved that it was essentially playing out what the 3rd movie would have been and all the actors played the parts. I almost destroyed my controller in frustration when trying to make it past the high speed flying angels near the end...but I made it eventually!
My plans for February are to play through Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2 and Resistance 3.

His elbow drop through the announcers table at Wrestlemania 16. Falling far short of his intended target, only reaching the edge of the table and almost smashing his ribs in the process.
It was such a depressing looking effort maybe it's a good thing that it's a relatively forgotten bump.
