Or this is a crappy summer for movies and people will find any excuse to escape the heat. I was going to call the movie going community a bunch of sheep, but your post sounds a lot better. What a load of crap.

Orton hates everyone but the horses in his shed. They council him. They understand. ;D ;D ;D Nice. Since when does Randy Orton have that kind of pull? And if he does, can he just have R-Truth enter the arena without all of the unnecessary rapping? And stop the whole Chavo / Hornswaggle thing? Please?

To NOT have Ziggler win the title after their lengthy friggin' program is pretty f-ing stupid.
Now this IS the WWE's mainstay, but still...

She doesn't look it. And she's a shorty, which adds to her hotness.

The watchable show will be on in less markets and the one that's sucking right now will remain on Monday nights to fester.
That's a rough one for the WWE.

Something like in the 50s and 60s. masculine, like "Dash Riprock" or something Slim Throckmorton OR Harvey "Slats" Slattery

Let's see. Popular movies / Sports stars = WWE wrestler names.
Joe Cobretti? Bryan Jeter? Daniel-son, the Final Dragon Disciple?
They're gonna change his name. There's no doubt.

Around Wrestlemania, probably to save Matt from being beaten up by...well, whatever midcard wrestler he's paired off with around that time.

Okay, it's supposed to be some big mystery about his real identity and only Burchill knows the truth, or thinks he does. Yet he's announced not as The Hurricane but Hurricane Helms. Even the minitron says Hurricane Helms on it. Hardly takes a genius to crack that code. But it's like the way everyone in Metropolis knows Clark Kent is really Superman. They just don't say anything cause then he'd leave town and they'd all die when Lex Luthor blew up the entire city when he gets bored. We all play along...wink wink.

Is it just me or is anyone annoyed at how dumbed down this show got over the last few years. I don't watch it usually but i get a glimpse from time to time. During the 70-90's this show was great, it was educational AND smartly written enough that adults could watch and have a little laugh too. Some of the stuff actually parodied current events or celebrities- The Cookie Monster shaft skit is still hilarious. That's why i was so successful and manged to last so long. But now its just plain stupidly written-Points 1) They no longer count to 40, just 20. Cant kids nowadays handle the concept of going to 40? ? 2) Alot of the classic characters Mumferd, Herry etc got removed in place of annoyingly dumb ones-e.g Elmo gets too much screen time (but hes a cash cow so u cant blame them 3) Oscar is not as hardcore as b4. Onetime this guy was the man he was mean rude unfriendly and malicious 9 he got Big bird to go on the roof at Christmas to freeze to death. Not hes been neutered- sorta like how Cena is compared to how he was during his rap days. 4) Many of the real life issues weren't dealt with anymore eg remember those pregnancy and death episodes? 5) We no longer get to see all of those classic episodes of Ernie messing up Bert. They were timeless Its a dumb rant, but hey I'm bored. Anyone else notice this?? Isn't everything watered down nowadays though? The Children's Television Workshop used to stand for something but on a station that's had pledge drives every year of its existence, I expect this show to waver to our society's decline. 1 ) Only counting to twenty is important because they figure the next generation won't make that much monetarily, dealing in nothing higher than $20's. Good job, Sesame Street. 2 ) Elmo is their cash cow. Big Bird used to be the top...bird (?) but he never had an animatronic doll that needed a child to "tickle" it, causing parents to brutalize each other to acquire one in the yuletide season. Everyone is secondary to Elmo. 3 ) The term "grouch" kinda changed and Oscar along with it. Whereas he'd be as surly as he wanted to be when we were kids, a new initiative to make him more "grumpy" and less "lead other Muppets to their makers" was pushed. Now he just complains about his vote on "American Idol" not meaning much. 4 ) Other than that Muppet that has HIV, I guess they like to shleter kids from the not so pleasant aspects of life. Not a good idea in a world like ours though. Kids will get it. If you explain it properly OR demonstrate it with Ernie and Bert. But I guess that's not their thinking. 5 ) I miss the episode where Ernie uses all of Bert's IBM stock to paper Bert's pigeon coop and Bert kneecapped Ernie and through his rubber ducky underneath the No.5 train. Classic.

The Sun. Yeah. They also said that Burgess Meredith would star in the "Rocky Balboa" movie. Having passed away years ago notwithstanding.

Ummm, how? It didn't exactly have a premise that could be stretched into a weekly series. Well. they could pick up where the movie left off, except the Winona Ryder character has a baby that she names...what else? Heather! And Heather comes to the same high school her mom did, making friends with other Heather until one day...one of the Heathers is mysteriously killed and it's up to the remaining Heathers and their crime solving, talking Persian cat to figure out who did it! You know how I know the entertainment industry doesn't care if people like what they're putting on TV anymore? Because someone that cared would've apologized by now. Coming soon: A remake of the Jim Varney "Hey Vern" stuff...

Without the show, there wouldn't have been this: That alone made the show's existence worth it. Too bad it'll never hit Virtual Console due to Capcom no longer having the rights to Disney properties. Man, am I glad I still own an original cartridge. ;D That was a pretty damned good game. With Scrooge's pogo cane hop. Most games like that would've driven me nuts, but it was highly enjoyable.

November 2005. Back then, I still thought the WWE used blood packs to simulate forehead wounds.
Oh, I've learned so much since then.

One of the better of the "new" Disney classics. Reminds of the actual DIsney classics, which are always good watching.
