If he hadn't taken the commentary position, I guarantee you he'd have been shitcanned a while ago. I’ve never seen him wrestle and I can’t imagine any way I’d want to, unless he just happened to be on TV and I couldn’t change the channel from Raw. He just wrestled a very slow, methodical, and dry heel style. Think boring Randy Orton, but with weird leg submissions instead of RKO's.

Honestly, his wrestling was always the least interesting thing he had going. His awful commentary and shitty tweets are the BEST thing about him?!! My god…. If he hadn't taken the commentary position, I guarantee you he'd have been shitcanned a while ago.

So is she a full supervillain, or almost one?

Peter Kaasa seemed exactly like the sort of character a kid would make in a wrestling video game. You make him bulky as f*** and give him a bunch of flippy-do moves just cause.

This skit from Limmy's Shows is appropriate here.

Just call them PLE's.
It actually rolls off the tongue better than PPV anyway.

Yeah, I remember that being a thing that was sort of loosely hyped. Think they liked to do little extras like that for otherwise lesser versions of the games at that point given one of the DS games had Hardcore Holly as an exclusive and one of them, might've been the same one, had an Ambulance Match. The PSP version of SvR06 not only had Jake Roberts and three mini games (including a solid poker sim and a knockoff version of the Helicopter Game with Eugene), it didn't have commentary and fixed the glitch where top rope moves got kicked out of no matter what I'm pretty sure SVR 06 was also the game where any move that ended in a pin would also get kicked out of no matter what. It says a lot when players swore up and down it was the best game in the series for a spell.

I started watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure recently. I'm about a third through the first season.
I love how campy and ridiculous this show is. I don't think I've ever seen another villain who revels in being as evil as Dio does.

2 is the only one of the series I haven't played. But with a recent self-mandate of not really planning on going anywhere at the moment, I might have to change that.
I have heard the DLC is really good.
f*** it, I may just go back and replay the whole series again.

Thing is, WWE probably could get away with selling the same matches in a row if the writing was even half decent. Like what is Lesnar and Reigns feud even about. They just want the belt, or something, there's nothing deeper than that. In the Attitude Era the most successful feuds had cultural messages built into them, such as the middle class vs. the upper class. But the characters now are so flat, you can't get anything deeper than the surface level. Even when we got stuff like Seth Rollins developing a god complex, his feuds were the exact same trite they were before. There's just nothing interesting to latch on to. The Lesnar-Reigns feud is the wrong one to pick for this point. It’s been a well-written, nuanced feud involving Heyman and both men’s history with him. It’s the best actual storyline they have going. That's not the defence you think it is.

Joe's release has to be the least surprising. I'm more shocked he wasn't cut in one of the last waves. The dude was already released once, and they stripped him of his belt for some phantom injury that never got disclosed, which immediately raised red flags. When has a legitimate injury ever been handled in such a way? Isn't Triple H on the board of directors? Short of a massive shakeup at the corporate level (like the entire McMahon family being ousted), I don't think he can get outright fired. This is the same dude who's absense, I believe, wasn't even touched upon during the last shareholders meeting. His stock has tanked hard to the point I don't think his removal would affect much of anything. Still, he's family, so I don't assume he's going anywhere. Also if there's any legitimate annymosity, Vince can keep him under foot much more easily while on his payroll.

How do you f*** up a top title run with that guy?

Paging Umaga, I REALLY wish we could page Umaga. These guys disrespected the business in 2007 and I believe Umaga got them back for it. Is it even possible to disrespect this business when it barely respects itself?

I love how WWE’s current mentality is that they’re aware the shows suck, but instead of addressing that directly, they just restructure the order in which the suck is presented to try and trick(?) their fans into watching it all.

It's been my most checked out period of fandom. The last full show I watched was Mania 2018, which was a miserable experience. Nothing they're doing now peeks my interest in the slightest.

IMO Sammy's the weakest champion primarily because he's the weakest performer out of the guys who've held it. Not a knock against him, because that's some stiff competition. His title reign always felt more about the actual win rather than him holding the belt. But even then he still got to play the home star defending against the outsiders which can be a fun angle.
