I remember thinking at the time that all they needed to do was insert Owen in for the title with a "loser leaves" match for the title. It made sense for the Hart brother feud, its something that would've caused not static, and they could've had Owen drop the strap to Shawn in like a month or two.
Everyone struck me as a little idiotic and immature in this situation and that's how I thought it should've went down then and I still do.

Since I don't have to prove anything to my blog I'm going to go ahead and keep my fear of heights. I save that special moment for when its actually needed. I don't feel like tempting fate. It has a habit of being somewhat persuadable.

The prices are outrageous for figs these days.
Eight bucks for a 3 and 3/4 inch figure? Oh hell no! Things haven't inflated that much.

Doesn't matter, although neither is very likely in my family. My dad and both grandfathers never balded or greyed.
If I grey I'll dye it if it doesn't look good on me, and if I bald I'll just shave my head.

Me and my friends bought it out of tradition, but none of us were all that hyped as opposed to previous years. This is odd since I can usually fool myself to mark mode leading up to Mania at the very least. I still did, but it was REALLY difficult and not all that effective.
The lead up to both main events were just so damn awkward and didn't draw me in at all. I'm not even going to get into the execution, the lead-ins were bad enough. The Cena/Show/Edge match had no heart and the comedy factor ineffective at best and cheesy and lame at worst. The Orton/HHH feud seemed rushed despite the build since Rumble. Then they took a situation with all this supposed personal hatred and added a clause in which HHH would lose the belt in a DQ almost assuring us of not getting the payoff needed with such a storyline. That payoff being a hardcore hell in the cell brutality type scenario...which was almost guaranteed to not happen.
And a lame and vanilla match it was! I had this outside hope that HHH would smack Randy with the hammer to open the match, strap the belt on him himself, and then proceed to fifteen minutes of HHH vs Randy unsanctioned brutality!

They get to expand their market and we get to watch what we want, when we want. As long as its recent, but not too recent. Damn new Hulu sucks compared to last year Back before this marketing push, they had dozens of episodes for each show up, now its just last 5 and maybe a smattering from another season if you're lucky on all my favs. Well sure, so long as you don't get over a month behind.

Well, it has little blips of advertising. So as long as you still have to watch some sponsorship it is a win win for all involved.
They get to expand their market and we get to watch what we want, when we want.

I can't be the only one noticing that guy has ZERO penile definition at all. You could always write DC comics and request more penile definition. ;D

Weren't you wearing steel-toed boots? I thought they were mandatory in warehouse/factory jobs. It's not mandatory, but my sneakers were quite fine. I had absolutely zilch in terms of problems, and this is the first time I've been hurt in 3 years of any job. From a 10 foot height, I don't think steel-toe boots would have helped, and that approximately how high the brake unit was. Oh yeah it would. Trust me it would make it almost like it never happened. They got steel toed sneakers that are pretty comfy. ...something to make you feel better though? Hmmm. I don't know, this makes ME laugh.

Thanks. I read a lot of "it sucks" comments but don't get a lot of what people actually think sucks.
I still like the new trend up to and including the latest Friday the 13th effort. There really is no way to keep going in most horror series, yet they should not be left to languish either. Streamlining, condensing, and restarting is about the only thing that makes sense to me. I see you don't like it being too much like the first, but I think it needs to stay in line and do plenty of homage to kick things off otherwise the point of trying to catch new audiences up is just lost. Anything else would be awkward and just plain goofy.
Oh yeah, and as someone from the midwest, there are more than enough crazy hillbillies. It may not be the hills of Alabama, but they are certainly there!
Once again, thanks for the input.

I'm one of those people that prefer the new Halloween. So this is awesome news to me. I remember the old Halloween movies when I was a kid and found them just as bland as I do today. I honestly struggle to both get the rampant appeal and the assertion that the old stuff was in any way better.
I'm not begrudging anyone their opinion. Whatever makes you happy and all that, I'm just asking someone to be a little more detailed about what exactly "sucked" about Zombie's movie. I found to have a lot more depth as far as story as well as the cinematography of the scare shots to be FAR more effective each and every time. The performances were easily stronger and Michael's obsession made actual sense. The original seemed like such a stretch the way it was presented that I spent more time asking questions as to how things would even get to this. I know this is standard fare for many horror movies, but I always found Halloween to be a greater transgressor than most.
So, once again, just want to know exactly why the remake sucked for the detractors?
