I don't think anyone rates any Harry Potter as "great cinema" or anything like that. People just like them because they're fun for them or they relate to the characters. I'm not a fan of HP at all, so I don't really get the appeal, but no one out there is claiming that Deathly Hallows is up their with Pulp Fiction or Citizen Kane in terms of quality so to say its "over rated" isn't accurate. Well, there seems to be a sense of mourning for the end of the series in movie form, and I could totally see not enjoying the movies, and wondering why the hell people would be so upset.

So basically you watched a movie that was pretty much designed for fans of a book you've never read, and you're surprised that you don't understand the big deal? You can't say it's overrated without reading the book. You just can't. If you just treat the movies as something to add visuals to a great book, they're a lot better. Of course he can, the movies aren't a companion to the books, they're adaptations. You can't just treat a movie as adding visuals and sound to a book.

I don't get the problem people seem to be having with the OP statement - he is saying that people overrate the movies. I agree with him, and I like the movies - however, there have been enough dodgy moments, and they never quite got back to the level of PoA, imho.

This poll lacks 'Ag-a-do'by Black Lace. Therefore, it is invalid. And your post lack "Av-a-screw", the dirty version (legit).

best series of exhibitions, more like - best feud was Palumbo/Noble, closely followed by Austin/McMahon.

Did Ole Anderson actually like any of the other guys in the Four Horsemen? It seems like he doesn't actually like anyone in the wrestling business, so I was wondering if that extended to his stablemates. I remember reading an interview once, where when asked about his time in the Horsemen he replied "That's just showbusiness bulls***". Ole doens't like anyone who isn't Ole, anytime I've been in a locker room with veterans and we talk about the old school, they always tell me that Ole hated everyone...in the buisness and out of the buisness Ole is a monster... I heard Ole refused to go on holiday with Ole, cos Ole's just showbusiness bulls***. As is pooping, and the calendar.

They need a Jamaican racing team. They need Derice Coffey. Honestly, he was a guy (either Ashton Smith or Ashton Brown) who wrestled as a Cool Runnings Jamaican Bobsledder, in a performance suit. With holes in it, cos things cost money.

Wait a minute is this thread about Bands who only had a one hit wonder? or bands who had other hits but they are overshadowed by overuse or success of one song? I was thinking that it can be a combination of the two - there are bands with a great back catalogue that may have only hit once, as opposed to the bands that had a short/non-existent career outside of their hit.

I think I may have you beat...
Sweet dollar tea from MacDonalds... I drink that. Super Hot Fire... I spit that. Two-and-a-half Men...
...
... I watch that.
Boom-bam-bop... badabop-boom... POW!
(Also, I'm on the UES - wish I could get some nice soul food here, but I never make it out for meals, and delivery is just too easy. Was at the Target in East Harlem last week, though)

Garfield was my favorite show as a kid... I tend to ignore Orson's Farm (as US Acres is known in the UK), just thought it was kinda weak, and didn't understand why I was supposed to be interested in them, next to Garfield, but then we didn't get the strip in the UK, and Garfield was v. popular.

Have never been one for buying or watching indy wrestling, but I used to attend a lot of UK indy shows, and the first time I saw him, he was facing Zebra Kid in FWA and didn't blow my mind like I'd been conditioned to expect, but I think Zebra was kind of jaded just then. After that, I saw him in wonderful contests against PAC and Zack Sabre Jr., and it sold me on his greatness (especially the Zack match).

They should have more PPV posters with apes on them... that would lead to more buyrates.
Actually, the intros to the shows should have some random monkey footage cut into them.

Why would they do it? Cos it'd be fun... all other arguments are moot. It'd be a lot of fun. People like to have fun, right?

I remember a long time ago I bought Squeeze: The Singles. My friend said, "Why did you buy their album they only have one song, "Tempted."" I let him borrow the CD, and he became a fan. Strange, those continental divides - "Cool for Cats" and "Up the Junction" both got to #2 in the UK.

will we see Hulk's number 1 fan in WWE? If things get really bad at some point, he could be the equalizer.

Its so funny to me when people take things a small fraction of people say and try to make it seem like EVERYONE or even the majority of people thinks this way. Most of this forum thinks the exact same way.
