Yeah, I'm doubting that Colt is going to be anything above the midcard, excepting if he gets to do much stuff with Punk. He is a good hand, but comedy will only get you so far, and he's not good enough in any other department to be in the upper card.

Dave Meltzer said in today's Observer Radio that the belief was that Hero and Castagnoli would be heading into WWE in a few weeks, and they'll be going straight onto TV. Man, I hope not - some time down in FCW, getting TV ready, obviously doesn't hurt.

I have Pete Walker's Frightmare (known in the USA as Cover Up, Once Upon a Frightmare, Frightmare II and Revenge from Planet Frightmare , cos of the Ferdy Mayne movie from the early 80s) ready to go on my laptop. Supposed to be appropriately grimey.

Gremlins: You're a character living in Kingston falls when Billy Peltzer accidently unleashes the Gremlins on the town. You run from your house to various other locations as the Gremlins chase you and take over. As well as fighting them off, you also have to avoid "accidents" they cause. While I guess some comedy could be involved, this would show the more horrific side of the movie. I don't want to see the horrific side of Gremlins - that's like a game where you play as the Fratellis, and kill some cops.

For real graphic novels, I can suggest Will Eisner's A Contract with God, and The Tenement and Other Stories.

One that brought tears to my eyes is the heroes fighting and dying against Dynaman.
Also, the ending of whichever Flash book was narrated by Iris, telling everyone about Barry's death, and what to expect in the future.
Finally, the Justice Society returns, because it meant that the Justice Society was returning. I am vowing to read no DC going forward, until they return the JSA to publication. Resting the concept... I'd like to rest my foot in Dan Didio's a**, but if I did that, he wouldn't be able to say anything in apology.

How on Earth they managed to snag Christopher Lee for the second film I'll never know. To be fair, getting Christopher Lee at that time wasn't harder than it is now. Much like John Carradine, Lee would (will?) appear in anything - I get the impression that for Carradine, this was out of necessity, whilst I just think Lee didn't like turning down the money.

She's already far better than Velvet, which isn't much to say, really - most everything Velvet does in-ring is embarassing.

I hated hipster backlash backlash before everyone else did. I was there when Hipster Backlash Backlash found their instruments in The Dumpster. That's a boutique vintage music store on Bedford Av.

Mickie stands out from every woman in TNA on the stick, and she's cut the Knockouts' best promos this year. The promo from the week after she got run over was one of the best I've heard a woman cut all year. Not heard this one yet, though. Thank goodness, it's about time you stopped talking smack about Mickie, hater.

'course, I was listening to Hipster Backlash Backlash back when they were playing parties in tenement stairwells in Bushwick.

My old intern lost her job and had to move to Brooklyn - suddenly, it's the best place ever, she's sitting on the fire-escape, drinking PBR and smoking all night. She invited us to her birthday party, but it had a bottle beer bar, a swimming pool in a dumpster (that you can hire for that purpose) and it's own food truck - I had notions of turning up in my Old Navy clothing, seizing a taco and rubbing it in some douchebag's face, and then tipping the beer bar into the dumpster.

But if the kliq were in charge, where would they find an economically viable source of breadsticks?

Then maybe you can tell me what instead of just rolling your eyes at me, or am I too inferior to understand what makes this so special compared to the last ones he did? It's not even that the promo was amazing or anything. People are excited about it because it looks like they're actually furthering the angle after it looked like it would be forgotten on Monday. It was never going to be forgotten - my analogy, which I hope people will grasp, is what I call the "Carl Weathers" method of booking. You add some intrigue, a dash of conflict, and a few chunks of innovation. Then, turn the heat to medium and... you've got a stew going.

If you don't understand why people are excited over this promo and angle, then yes, you are missing something. Then maybe you can tell me what instead of just rolling your eyes at me, or am I too inferior to understand what makes this so special compared to the last ones he did? First off, it's developing the storyline - he's making threats and challenges. He's confronting HHH for the first time. He's varying his shoutouts. He sounds confident. He electrified that room, and this forum. It was in a very different setting from usual, and yet he sounded like he was sitting in a broadcast booth.

Dude does the same shout outs as before, and says how he wants to sleep with someone wife, and everyone's acting like he's the promo messiah? Am I missing something? I'm thinking that you may be. He did different shout-outs, insultingly insinuated that he HAD slept with Stephanie, and got a huge pop. Seems to be doing something right.

They're not exactly complex stories, you don't have to read them to "get" what's happening in the movies. I followed the story in the movies without difficulty, and I never read any of the books. I'm sure the books have other subtleties and aspects that aren't touched on, but that doesn't add depth to the movies that wasn't there before. The movies are just that, movie adaptations. They're tasked with telling a story, and even if they omit things from the book, they're still a different entity entirely. He's saying he thinks the movies are overrated, and the books have nothing to do with that. To say that you have to read the books to be able to call a movie overrated is just incorrect. I'm... Not talking about understanding the plot. I'm talking about understanding why people care so much about Harry Potter. Nor am I saying that you can't enjoy the movies without having read the books. I'm just saying that it makes sense how a person wouldn't understand the magic, so to speak, of Harry Potter if they haven't read the books. Could that 'magic' be a catalyst for overrating the films, perchance?

Hunico was plenty good when he came over to the UK as Mistico de Juarez, but then he was hanging with El Hijo Del Santo's crew, who are top notch.
