I really liked Haydens work in this one. Whenever he just used his facials expressions he nailed the part and the character he is portraying as he is running down the slippery slope into madness. His cold dead stares and even when after killing off the Separatists when he was standing and you could see him tearing up that was the legitimate look of a man knowing what he has done, contemplating that it wasn't right because he is blinded thinking that this was the only way to keep the last shred of happiness from leaving him he was going to do whatever it takes to keep it. Even if it means doing terrible things. He really nailed it and at that point he no longer was Anakin Skywalker as he had become Darth Vader. Sure the Emperor gave him the name before he went and killed the Jedis but i feel it was this scene that he accepted his fate and "killed" the Anakin Skywalker part of him and ultimately chose to be Darth Vader. Even Padme said " I don't even know you anymore" as she could tell he had become this monster and was trying to find the last bits of who he really was but once Obi-Wan stepped out all of his feelings against Obi just further cemented his path to the Dark Side So upset about killing....ugh....younglings. Sand People's Lives Matter I think Christensen really could have knocked it out the park with a better writer/director. No one can make "From my point of view it is the Jedi who are evil!" work.

You know what I love? Obi-Wan actually defeats Darth Vader. He didn't have the heart to finish the job (or maybe assumed he burned to death, but I have trouble buying that) but he actually defeated the evil Sith like a hero would. Granted, it was just a vehicle to get Anakin in the suit, but I've always appreciated that they allowed Obi-Wan to defeat him in battle. Vader wasn't ready bro

No one can make "From my point of view it is the Jedi who are evil!" work. Dear lord I agree so much. I always though the scene should have went minimal dialog: Obi: The Sith are evil! Anakin: *with a sick little smile* Are you sure? Obi: *says nothing but uses McGregor's elite acting skills to summon a "well, I tried. I don't want this fight but it's going to happen" face*

YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE, YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!!!
Actually, that last part doesn't happen, but me and my friend in college would always add it in there for laughs.

It is the best prequel indeed, but that's like saying it's the best student in a remedial class. Still has the prequel tropes I didn't like all along...
- Too much unbelievable CGI - Dialogue sucks - The pussification of Vader/Anakin continues....yes, right down to the Big No. - Hayden Christensen still sucks - Lucas' beloved cutesy CGI effects to lighten the mood (didn't he have a droid say "uh-oh" as the Anakin/Obi-Wan duel continued?)
Well at least Jar Jar appears less than 5 minutes and doesn't talk.
One other thing I didn't like was them flanderizing Yoda Speak. I think EVERY sentence he spoke had it, whereas it was just once in a while in the OT, and even in the other prequels.

I'd say something about Christensen being best when he didn't talk...but then there's the revised ROTJ ending to prove me wrong. Sorry but if he does have talent, nothing SW related will enlighten me. Yes there's that line, and also the cringeworthy "Lucas hates George W., get it?" exchange. You know the one.

Not the best movie of the six, but definitely the most entertaining.

It's certainly the least shit of the prequels. Although Anakins heel turn was even faster than the Undertakers 'you think you are better than me ?' one.

"She has lost the will to live" Padme was a selfish and hateful bitch. Yeah, send that gungan army to it's certain death on an open battlefield while my human soldiers fight a battle in an under-defended city. Oh, those were just Sand People... F them. I still love you! Let's just lie about being married and pregnant so we both keep getting all our normal government benefits. I have two infant twins that need raising?! I'm not putting up with that shit, I'm checking out of this hellhole

Yoda goes into exile, to Dagobah specifically. Why? Never explained.
Qui-Gon has somehow found the way to cheat death. How? Never explained.
Palpatine tells Anakin he really doesn't know how to cheat death. Anakin doesn't care. Goes on a massacre. Why? Never explained.
The Jedi are declared enemies of the state. The Senate go along with it for no reason, despite them being protectors of truth and justice for a thousand generations.
Anakin now regards the Jedi as evil. Why? Never explained.
The Jedi children have to be killed. Anakin doesn't bother asking why. Kills them anyway.
The Jedi are shocked when the clones they inexplicably decided to use as an army despite being made in secret by a race of aliens who associate with a bounty hunter who tried to kill Padme and the Jedi in a gladitorial battle, turn out to be untrustworthy. Why? Never explained.
Luke has no memory of his mother. Leia does, despite the fact they both spent the same amount of time (about 2.1 seconds) in her presence. Why? Never explained.

"She has lost the will to live" That has always bothered me so much. She JUST said she knew there was still good in Anakin, and she just had her first children who should be more than enough to make her want to live. Padme was a horrible mother and wife.

Palpatine croaking his lines ruined some of his drama for me, though Ian was clearly having a ball.
"...my leetle greeen freeend.."
Ugh
His M. Bison move when he killed nameless Jedi 2-6 was sweet though
