I think most people who have reached the age of 25 know what it feels when you think of something that seemingly just happened, only to realize that it was more than 12 years ago. Or though about "20 years ago" and thinking about the early 90's.

So let's collect facts that make you feel old.

-Today's 15 year olds don't remember the time before Youtube.

-Doom 3 is older today than the Original Doom was in Doom 3's release.

-Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is 16 years old. If they made a new GTA set in "retro past" it would be set in 2002.

-If the NES could be called a "retro console" in 2000, so could the original XBox today.

-WWE "Current" is for discussion from 1996-2017. That's the same as if you'd talked about 1975 events as "current" in 1996.

its only 15 years old (well it will be in October) it came out in 2002.

Also using the same time frame it'd be more likely be late 90's than early 2000's....

the year 2000 is closer to 1985 than it is to the current year.

I went to see Fifty Shades Darker with my friend the other day. I felt ancient when she pointed out that we're part of its target market because we're not young adults anymore. :eek: How am I in the middle aged mums demographic?!

Your friend is wrong if your birthday is correct... you aren't Middle Aged.

technically using the old time frame young adult is 20-39... though YA Novels are aimed at like teenagers...

1997 was 20 years ago.
Around this time the WWF was in its trasitional phase, of still being new generation but getting more edgy/adult. Actually Monday Night Raw became Raw Is War 20 years ago and around this time.

Also barbie girl by aqua was out in 1997.

I watch a YT guy regularly called The Double Agent, an (admitted) Todd In The Shadows ripoff who does music countdown reviews. He is also a teenager, so basically half my age. What really makes me feel old is that most of his viewers are teenagers, so whenever I read his video's comments or responses to his tweets, it feels like hanging out with a bunch of people half my age.

I think she was going by the 18-25 demographic in marketing terms being "young people". But I'm going to use your age range to make me feel better

Pokémon is over 20 years old. To a kid discovering the franchise with the newest games, the originals would be about as ancient as Zork was to us back when Gen 1 came out.

And on that note, Zork is 40 years old.
