When I saw my first WrestleMania (2000), Wrestlemania 1 highlights might as well have been in black and white to 11 year old me, it seemed that long ago. Now, I've seen more WrestleManias as they happened than the 15 I'd missed before them. If I was a footballer I'd be considered to be in the last year or so of my prime before it all started going downhill. ..My heroes are younger than me.. I know people who either don't know what 9/11 was, or if they do, they have no concept of how scary a time that was.

I know people who either don't know what 9/11 was, or if they do, they have no concept of how scary a time that was. Well then "people" are ignorant....take the WW2 bombing of Dresden , 40k died suffocated due to smoke and it doesn't take a genious to imagine the horror.

Please keep in mind that there are college students now that were only four years old at the time. By the time they became cognizant of worldly happenings, it was already a few years into what things became. And if you're a teenager that wasn't even born yet, yeah, can see how it hasn't been the most prevalent thing for a kid to be introduced to (especially with so man subsequent years offering more of the whole situation to absorb). I was born the year after Vietnam ended, and I knew jack diddly about it until maybe somewhere in my later middle school years. And there's a big difference between imagining a horror and being there, living through a time of absolute panic, fear and uncertainty. You can imagine the worst car crash you can think of, but it's not the same as experiencing it, watching it as it happens or even being part of it.
