OT, when I was in college, digital video editing was nothing short of "magic" and we were taught to splice audio tape Yeah, everybody can make and edit digital video with their cellphones/laptops. Back when I was in high school the video lab had a high end tower machine with a firewire card for capturing the video from a DV tape since there weren't cameras that did straight video files. Meanwhile I did amateur home videos with a digital stills camera that had 320x240 resolution at 15fps. You could record 33 second clips. And the memory card I had was 64 megabytes in size. And once I was finished it would have been seen like 10 people at most, since there was no youtube to put it on. Considering the quality I think that was for the best. Reminds me of something that happened to me at the first wrestling show I attended (WCW house show, Dec 1999).... my best friend had a fist-gen digital camera(that used floppy discs to store pics) but she wasn't comfortable with it yet. She'd set up for several seconds before taking a pic or two. She was about to be thrown out of the arena because they thought she could take video(?!) with this camera, and she slipped me the disc that was in there before they took her to the lobby in case they confiscated it. (The pics mostly on this disc were from a Flair/Luger match) |

The Wii came out 15 years ago. The Playstaion 2 came out 17 years ago. The Gamecube came out 16 years ago. The Wii U is over 5 years old already. I think at least 1 of those dates is wrong. For me, it's working at a university, every year seeing the ages, and next year it's 2000! Plus I still go out a lot, in the club with people and working out the age gap of the girl who just flirted with me at the bar... |

The Wii came out 15 years ago. The Playstaion 2 came out 17 years ago. The Gamecube came out 16 years ago. The Wii U is over 5 years old already. I think at least 1 of those dates is wrong. the Wii is way off it's only 10 years ago (11 in November) the rest are mostly right the ps2 is 16 years right now... it will be 17 in a few weeks. Gamecube is 15 right now and 16 in September. the wii u is 4 and will be 5 in November. |

The last 3D Universe era GTA game (Vice City Stories) was released 10 years ago.
Hey Arnold and the Rugrats both ended in 2004, so nearly 13 years ago. However for some reason Fairly Odd Parents and Spongebob is STILL running.

At my company we have a guy born in 1999, he would have been in his 1st year of high school when I started working here in 2011.
Football players who were in their prime when I was in high school like Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Thierry Henry are now retired.
Being older than the most expensive football player of all time Paul Pogba is also depressing as hell.
But what makes me feel really old is knowing I've been a member of this board for 11 years in March!
