My kids are making me watch Pixels...again. I can’t think of many movies I like less.

The Cloverfield Paradox was okay. I really like the first two movies in the series so I'm willing to watch anything even loosely connected to them. Ultimately this is this is just a low budget, "B" sci-fi film that offers more ideas to what's going on in the series but answers nothing, as most JJ Abrams works do.
5.5/10

I watched How to Train Your Dragon yesterday and I'm slightly disgusted because of it. Not that the movie is bad much the opposite, that this film does not get spoken of in the same regard as a Disney classic. A beautifully crafted story with possibly Gerard Butler's finest work. Reading up on it after watching it I've heard people say if the 3rd movie lives up to the standard than it would be a mighty competitor to the Toy Story trilogy as the greatest animated series of all time. I think it easily topples Shrek as Dreamwork's finest.

Sausage Party
Movie felt insanely edgy with shock comedy
You can basically predict the movie before watching it
Didn’t really think it was funny

Watched Geostorm about a week ago. I knew it had bad reviews but hoped there would be something to redeem it. I was wrong
The writing was atrocious. The story was illogical and unbelievable. The acting was terrible. The casting was awful. The science was absurd.
What they explained away in the prologu would have taken hundreds of years and bankrupted the world's economy. What happened in the movie would have shattered what fragile finances were left That ain't no happy freaking ending.

Léon: The Professional - I haven't watched this movie in at least fifteen years. And after watching it tonight I don't think it's ever affected me as much as it has until now. I don't even care about the action parts. 10/10

Finally caught Shape of Water & Ladybird.
Liked both. A lot. SOW is a hell of a made film. In almost every aspect.
Ladybirds alright. A really good coming-of-age. But I feel it's a bit overrated. Especially as far as performances go.
Also gave the original Jurassic Park a complete watch tonight for the first time in a while..Still love every bit of it.

Watched "Time Bandits" with the boys today.
Now maybe they will understand why every time I see a big chunk of charred wood, I have to say, "Mom. Dad. It's EVIL! Don't touch it!"

The kids’ pick for last night was Bruce Almighty. A very fun movie.
The thing is, now that I have been to Universal Studios a bunch of times, I recognize all the external locations as being on the Universsl backlot. It kind of takes the magic out of it.

The thermometer on the back porch says it is 96 outside. Not going outside.
Sat in the den and watched The Mummy (Brendan Fraser) instead. It's a fun little movie with plenty of action.

Predator 2
The story is decent. The cast were all bankable stars. The effects were all good. So what was wrong with it? The acting was terrible. It's like the director knew how to put together a decent action sequence but had no clue what to do with actual dialogue. It's a damn shame that this wasn't a much better movie.

xmen apocalypse is a SUPERB actioner! that whole {Spoiler}quicksilver/school for gifted blowing the hell up was utterly sublime with all sorts of emotions running through it too {Spoiler}eric lehnsherr's is now even more heartbreaking but it's apocolypse himself that's interesting, not someone with so much power that just rampages through everything, he has a patience to him ..... and i would have changed his end ..... all in all i loved all of it ..... next up, another one far too long in the waiting that stars a certain other xmen stalwart

LOGAN was definitely a different animal to the more straight forward xmen movies ..... AND NOT AS GOOD!!! yeah you heard me
biggest problem is donald pierce ..... as in WHAT USE WAS HE??? he never posed an actual threat felt like a courier to other more powerful people in the story and got goofed by the xchildren in a really dumb way the rest of the reavers weren't that effective either at least zander rice had something like a BACK STORY and WORTH TO THE STORY the x24 was fun to see since it was hugh jackman too rather would have had a little less 'mature' aspects of the script, kept to a minimum in the xmen movies but used to a lesser worth here and even logans death felt a tiny bit weak, the tree branch stump should have went through his heart instead and the whole eriq la salle story line felt a little tagged on, but i guess things like that sometimes happen and it felt a little messy, but not in a way that dulls the story or the very visceral action i guess having that type of movie with more gravitas can be difficult
but a whole lot to like about it
i would even score it LOWER THAN XMEN3!!! probably because it doesn't really conform to the rest of the series, but definitely watchable

Just watched Donnie Darko for the first time.
You're right, Kitty. I don't care about Sparkle Motion.
