That sucks to hear. Sarray seems like a great talent from what little I've seen. I was hoping the new gimmick would help her get a push, but I guess not.

What's really funny is next month is Asian appreciation month, which NBCU/USA and WWE take part in, but they won't have anyone to really fall back on except Wendy Choo, who no one expects to win anything of note going forward. And no one is going to forget how insanely poorly Asuka, Io, and Sarray have been treated over the past year or so. Asuka jobbing to Fiend Bliss, Rhea, and then Nikki ASH. And Io has been heavily deemphasized in NXT because WWE is obsessed with getting Raquel over even though she'll be controlling her narrative the moment she's released. And then you have Sarray who is dead in the water because whoops gotta bury her ten feet under.

I hate to say it, but I don't think they particularly care: they've largely committed to "you've got to be able to talk, and that means speaking English without an international accent." Look at how many years we've now spent hearing that WWE wants a new Latin wrestler to be "the next Rey Mysterio", and then look at how WWE has booked the vast majority of those guys; the work doesn't really feel like it's being done. You can't go on and on about wanting to reach international markets but then also say you only want wrestlers who can come in and comfortably cut in-ring promos in English. They'll certainly give some pushes to non-native English speakers, but it does come off like the glass ceiling is pretty thick. I don't want to overplay it, Nakamura's about to get another shot at the big belt and Asuka is obviously trusted as an upper card name for the women's division, but they have their way of doing things and they're sticking with it, even when they come out and say something that sounds contradictory. It's really goddamn funny because Nick Khan has outright said they are seriously looking to break into the Japanese market more, but then they turn around and do stuff like this. WWE is about to lock themselves out of an entire generation of Japanese talents all because of racism. So WWE creative is working against something Nick Khan wants. Kind of like how Nick Khan releases a guy who creative has been making return plans/videos for.

Bruce, Johnny, and Kevin all do whatever the hell they want and convince Vince that it's the "best thing for business" while Nick Khan just randomly releases a bunch of talent to juice up those financial reports.

There is a dot com exclusive promoting Katana/Carter vs Leon/Feroz for next week for advancement to face Toxic A for the titles. I'm starting to feel once Mandy beats Wendy, our resident Orange Soda Queen is not going to be in a tag title hunt.

Like I said, I'm incredibly confident she's going to be in the next round of cuts at this point. It's painfully obvious that WWE doesn't see her worth investing in, and it doesn't help that she was never given a fair chance to actually get over either. I would argue she is the biggest wasted talent in all of NXT history at this point.

People pointed it out last week that when Wendy super soaked them there was no Dakota involvement a all even a post soaking walking back up the ramp and there was no Dakota tonight. Looks like that team wont be getting back together and Wendy is goin a this alone....or maybe she is gonna end up teaming with Rox C since she helped her win tonight and pinned one half of the tag champs.

I think Stratton has the higher ceiling of the two but when you factor in the story they've been telling and the fact they have a heel champion who desperately needs face challengers I don't think her winning the was the right call even if she also kind of needs wins as she's been losing a decent bit too.
Having the heel jump the face to get a cheap win in their first match makes sense if you are going have to the face win when it's on an even playing field. However then to have the heel win that too and on top of it clean and decisively doesn't make any sense. If you think Stratton has more potential and is someone you want to invest more into going forward then fine. Then just do the one match and have her go over and call it day. Doesn't make sense to try tell a narrative with it when at the end of the day it isn't going to make any sense.

Like the only way I can see Sarray coming back from this is her turning heel, which isn't going to happen because the division is flooded with heels right now, and they are pretty much done with Sarray entirely in my opinion. As for Tiffany, I can safely say she's gonna flop on the main roster. This current gimmick isn't going to get over with main roster only viewers, and there are significantly more popular women than Stratton on the main roster who have way higher ceilings still. Like no one thinks she is going to beat a Bianca, Rhea, Becky, Charlotte, Bayley, or even Sasha. It's a new generation era level gimmick which were part of the darkest part of WWE's history.

Japanese talents need to just follow Kushida and get outta this company. And talk about completely damaging if not outright locking yourself out of getting japanese talents in the future when they see what is ongoing. There is no well booked Japanese talent in WWE. There is Japanese talent that had big accomplishments but that is different.

Sarray is one of my favs. She's a real prodigy and one of the best to have come up in a while and I put her among the very elite. Personally her 2019 and then outstanding SEAd work in 2020 after sitting on her ass trying to wait out the pandemic and being allowed to still wrestle by WWE was some of the best I've seen. I've never had a problem with her losing, per se, though. In fact I thought it was important to separate her from dominant runs by Asuka and Io. My main issue in NXT has been the absolute avoidance of playing to her strengths and letting her show off in longer matches or tag matches with established and capable talent to get her over. But yeah this loss on the heels of everything else with her booking is just dumb. She looks like a goober especially if the idea was for the idea to be that she needed to transform/amulet to not get cheated, when she just lost clean to someone backing into them as a counter. It looks like they submarined the entire thing her gimmick change hinged upon. So yeah, putting on bangers and being pushed over or equal to all the top joshi and having uncomfortably bloody matches with Kong this is not lol. I dunno. I think we can ditch the "hey it'll work out this is all story" part at this point. I'm not sure what I would want her to do. She's been pretty open about wanting to be in WWE before so even if I selfishly want to watch her wrestle beyond those limits who am I to say otherwise if that's so? AEW's women's division she'd probably be more active on YouTube but I have a hard time seeing them give her her worth on TV with their track record. I suppose STARDOM is something people would assume but I don't see her as a great fit really and would prefer not, but it's probably the best of those three options at the moment. Top dollar freelancer is what I would prefer, especially since joshi freelancers are having a bit of a moment now, but I understand why one company would be the priority. If it was up to me, AEW's Women Division Would be 70% Joshi ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Like I get that she's an attractive blonde and to her credit I think she plays it well but rich spoiled daddy's girl types aren't muscular amazon women who are built like an American Gladiator. I think there's potential with her in that she possesses qualities that could make her a star but at the moment she's clearly very raw. Also I don't see her getting far as long as Charlotte's around. She is similar to Charlotte in a lot of ways in that she's of similar size and look and is very athletic. Really if it comes together for Tiffany in ring they should groom her to replace Charlotte (minus the annoying booking of her having to be champion or in the title picture all the time) with her being so much younger. Unfortunately WWE doesn't roll like that though. Instead of grooming people to replace the established stars they just continue to push the established stars constantly for like twenty years.

Tiffanys gimmick is literally...pervy old man creation.
And nothing about her sets her apart from the other tall blondes in the company and her gimmick is literally just another woman is vain gimmick.

They also need to give it to whoever on the roster looks most like Russell Crowe.

I feel like every Japan talent in this company outside of Nakamura who is just comfortable in his position as long as he can keep it, will be out of this company as soon as they are able... just feels like the writing is on the wall, especially with people like Bruce Pritchard and Johnny Ace still in high profile jobs in the company.
