I go to every PWG show and some of my biggest markout moments are when Human Tornado beats up Candice, and one of my biggest WWE markout moments ever was when Sandman hit Kelly Kelly with the cane. I have never harmed a female in my life and obvioulsy think its wrong to do so but in wrestling i absolutely love it

I think the last good thing TNA has done was have Hernandez give a Border Toss to Gail Kim

I hate violence against women in wrestling, it's utterly classless.

It's not like they're really getting beaten up, and they're not being forced to do it, so it's not that bad,IMO.

I hate seeing Men beating up Women and sometimes I contemplate giving up watching because of it.
You look at a guy like Austin. He got his biggest pop ever at one point for beating up Chyna (who is like half female).
He beat up women all the time in the ring. Then we learn that he beats the hell out of women in real life. Serious violent alcohol-fueled beatings.
So wrestling fans cheer for him in the ring, chugging beer and beating on little girls, and then he goes home and does the same thing.
Lex Luger and Miss Elizabeth? And then there's another famous wrestling couple who everyone is thinking about right now that I'm not going to even name.
Woman beating isn't funny. If it's ever shown in wrestling, it should be the work of an evil heel who is eventually punished for crossing that line. Not the work of a babyface who gets cheered for it.

I can't say that I love it, but i don't mind it at certain times as long as it fits within the context and actually adds to the show. Like when Gail got Border Tossed, it added fuel to what was already an incredibly hot fire, so there was a point to it. Plus Gail was athletic enough where she sold the HELL out of that move and made it awesome.
To have a guy just randomly pop a woman though just for some cheap heat, I think is stupid.

To be fair, Luger never beat on Elizabeth in the storylines when they were in WCW together.

True, not in the storylines. And the domestic abuse in their relationship may not have even been happening while WCW was in business.
But my point is, this stuff really happens to women like Liz and Debra and yes, I'm going to say it, Nancy.
Would you cheer if you were watching it happen in their homes? No. Then why would someone cheer about women getting beaten up in the ring.
I get sick to my stomach when I see Jarrett wrap a guitar around Tracy's head to the delight of the crowd.

But thats marital abuse, the men do it to belittle and subordinate the women, sometimes you have heels doing that in wrestling to their gals but they are presented in a bad ligth and thats not what the audience cheers for... The audience cheer for faces beating women when they are total b****es who keep interfeereing on their matches and punching them often using objects, going for their privates and catching them off guard, they often do so after several threats to stop interfering till the face can no longer take it and takes her out of the equation.... I would actually mark in real life if it was something like that. I knew a dude whose gal was a total b**** and would often slap him in the back of the head in a quite hard not cute in any way manner when she didnt liked something he would say or do, this in front of everyone wich must really add to the humiliation. Wile the guy deserved it for not ending the relationship with her if he would have just smacked her rigth in the face after one of them slaps I would have started claping.

Yeah, that's the hook of wrestling: all women are bitches and need to be adjusted.

You answered your own question. If a guy LETS a woman beat him up and doesn't dump her, he isn't much of a man and deserves the abuse he takes. If he hits her back, he's no better than he she is. He's actually much worse because men and women are NOT on an even playing field physically. Guys who do that are even less of men. I don't believe a man beating up a woman (or a child) is ever defensible in real life. And in wrestling, considering all the horror stories wives and girlfriends of wrestlers have lived through it's also pretty indefensible.

PWG girls are usually an assortment of ring rats, so I don't know about the others, but them and So Cal Val getting beaten is kind of wanted by the fans. Plus, equalism and all that stuff, you don't see anyone making a topic how women shouldn't slap men in wrestling, but it happens all the time.

I still don't quite understand why Stone Cold got a huge face pop when he stunned Stacy Keibler in the ring with no reason whatsoever back in 2003.
I think JR tried to explain it with something like "you're not supposed to turn down a beer from Stone Cold" and didn't seem to mind at all... while if it had been, say, Chris Jericho putting her in the Walls for some equally nonexistent reason, JR would have been screaming "BAH GAWD, SOMEBODY STOP THIS, SHE IS GONNA BE BROKEN IN HALF!! DAMN YOUR BLACK HEART, CHRIS JERICHO! DAMMIT! BAH GAWD!!"

Eh, it's always good to see a heel manager or something get what they deserve. Makes the show more fun. Same goes for heels attacking face women, because they're heels, you know?
I don't really enjoy it more than I would if the manager in question was a guy, or if the heels attacked some face guy behind his back. Both the same to me.
