Fellowship Of The Ring. I had heard that there was going to be an extended version of the movie released but only on DVD so I bought both a DVD player and the DVD of this movie when it was released. Only afterwards did I realize that the extended version wouldn't come out until much later.

So he went to all this trouble then accidentally left his phone at the murder scene?

I like candy corn. It's also one of the few genuinely Halloween candies. You can get Snickers any day of they ear. Candy corn and Autumn mix is specific to Halloween. It may be one of the least popular candies when compared to stuff that is available year round but at the end of the day it's candy. As a kid I certainly was never picky about candy.

In the 90s Willard Scott appeared in a Slim Fast commercial. There was also a series of commercials for Carnival Cruise Lines featuring Kathie Lee Gifford on around this time. In one of the commercials Kathy Lee comes across Willard Scott sitting at a table full of food. "Willard what are doing here?!" and he replies with something alone the lines of not being able to stay away from the great food. According to my friend they aired both these commercials back to back one time. So much for his Slim Fast diet.

Do kids even go legit trick or treating anymore? Around my area appears that has been taken over by churchs holding Fall Festivals and crap like that. Loved Halloween cause it was the one night a year I got to go out late and no adults around. Would be a pack of 15 of us gone from 6pm until 10pm. But yea if the local Mcdonalds haas them in I might grab one. Never had one as a kid, cause they are so small. We used Pillowcases as trick or treat candy bags. My neighborhood thankfully has thriving trick or treating. In fact it's one of the neighborhoods where people drive to in order to take their kids trick or treating. They do it both nights (3oth and 31st). It's awesome.

I have one of these things where you cook it on a stove or open fire and have to keep turning a crank so the corn doesn't burn before popping. I use it when camping but otherwise just use microwave bags.

I feel like he should be clean shaven. If anything, giving him facial hair makes him even more comparable to Aquaman. Glad he has his wings though.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}My question is why couldn't 01 just cut that restraining device out with a knife? Also, why did they keep him on as an orderly?

I always thought making a character a parody meant you could get away with something that would otherwise be a trademark infringement? Seems that making Fei-Long comedic would be a way for them to get around legal issues if anything.
Also couldn't it be argued that they waited too long to object? For example, he Lupin book people objected to Lupin The Third but it was ruled that they waited too long to complain so Lupin the Third was allowed to continue.

It was long enough ago that some people still had rotary phones or even black and white TVs. I remember rotary phones being a thing well into the 90’s. Hell, my grandmother still had one in 2007 but not the desk style ones. It was a wall hanger that the handset had the rotary dial on it I much prefer the general aesthetic of the 80’s to the 90’s, a living room designed and outfitted in 1986 is much cosier to me then 90’s shit. And I was born in ‘86, didn’t truly grow up in the 80’s. But living in rural Manitoba, the 80’s didn’t really end until like 1994 here. It was weird We had a black, wall mounted rotary phone in our house well into the mid-90s. I remember when we first got a modem we had to use some sort of special setting to make it work since the phone line was set up for rotary.

Cable TV was a big deal.
It was long enough ago that some people still had rotary phones or even black and white TVs.
Vinyl records were still very much a thing.
A lot of stuff had faux wood paneling on it. TVs, Ataris, cars, etc. There was a lot of houses with wood paneling on the walls too.
Most people's sofas had ugly floral pattern on it.
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade broadcast actually showed the parade and wasn't just an endless commercial for Broadway productions.
Cartoon specials during prime time were a big deal.

I had something similar happen to be years ago. Used my card at an ATM and then was certain that the card was still inside the ATM. If I recall correctly the machine was such that the card would completely go inside the machine. Went so far as to ask the person working there what I should do. Then I realized that I actually had my card on me. I had put it away and somehow forgot. i felt like an idiot.
