Not everyone knows who Mysterio is. Comic Book fans do... but far more people watch these movies than read the books. I call bullshit. You would barely need much knowledge at all to know who he is. He was all over the 90s cartoon, and most other Spider-Man adaptions. He's in many of the video games. But more importantly, the massive huge hype train of people leading up to the movie was only two things: How does MJ find out he's Spider-Man and since Mysterio is in the movie, are they going to have all the monster be illusions? You can go search up the hundreds and hundreds of videos, articles, tweets, facebook posts, and other social media that absolutely saturated the net with info of who Mysterio is. I would definitely assume upwards of three fourths of the audience would have a passing knowledge that he's the master of illusions. (Also, how sad is it that Spider-Man has had two MCU movies and still doesn't have his own villain really? Vulture was after Stark and hated the government for taking his jerb. Mysterio also hated Stark. Everyone he fought in the Avengers were really trying to fight Tony Stark, and he just showed up. Poor guy.) Overall, what I really think of the movie was it was "okay". I didn't particularly think it was all that great and it was a huge letdown because I was excited to see it, then it was just, massively inferior to Homecoming. It was a sequel I guess. It wasn't like Thor 2 or Iron Man 2 bad, but I'd still rank it pretty low among the marvel films when I'd have Homecoming right near the top. (Also, I think I can go the rest of my life without another Disney film that does a predictable third act villain reveal at this point) I am a huge fan of Mysterio (all three versions beck, berkhart and klum (4 if you include that weird Mysterion robot??) ) I really dug his story and appearance in the film and prefer it over homecoming. As for your call out over it. The average fan will not be: A: watching/remember watching the 90s cartoon (incidentally he only appeared in three episodes). B: Not everyone plays spider-man video games C: Most casuals will not be doing research on who a character is. As an side I had to explain to some friends who Thanos was after age of ultron and he is way more prominent than Goldfish bowl head. D: Much like yellowjacket, ultron, ego and vulture some may have heard the name but they won't know what he can do etc ... I do agree that I'd like a Spidey film that doesn't involve Tony Stark related stuff. Also no goblins and no villain repentance act.

You and I remember 2006 WWECW very differently ... December to Dismember is something I try and forget.

I remember this being one of the first movies I ever saw at the cinema, the train scene was too much for little me.
These days I think it is fantastic.

One of the games confirmed for PS Plus for June is Call of Duty: WWII. And when they mean “June”, they actually mean “starting from tomorrow”. Yeah a friend just mentioned this to me. My relationship with FPS these days is it needs to be wild and wacky or at least do something unique. Titanfall 2 has been my favorite recently. Not sure COD WWII will capture the same magic but we shall see. (Probably won't have room on my PS4 harddrive for it anyway )

It's ok if you ignore the shitty standard rules -- got to buy or it goes to auction, no cash for landing on free parking, etc. Those rules allow the game to actually end, the idea is to bankrupt other players. I’ll play but with no house rules, so it finishes in under an hour.

Honestly it would be hard to shock today (bar someone major in the industry dying unexpectedly), I don't feel like today a wcw hogan/nash/hall moment would be able to stay a surprise. A montreal screwjob moment I don't really see happening, a Foley falling from the cage moment in theory could happen but it would probably be a lot safer and thus reduce the shock value.
My top 3 off the top of my head would be:
1. The rumble being won by someone who isn't expected to win at all. Like say if the 2020 one was won by Keith Lee or Sin Cara. 2. A wrestling union for job security etc actually coming into being. 3. A new PPV themed around a new match idea being introduced.

It's going to be quite hot in England over the weekend and was thinking of doing some tasty chicken wings (not chillied up to burning your mouth in spice though).
What is the best recipe you have found or used?

As a complete casual with no knowledge of Omega's previous work / history I honestly think he needs a good storyline/feud in AEW.
Love his in ring work and character just need him to be properly involved in something.

Assassin's Creed (mostly 2) series for me, I like third person adventure games and the various historical locations but it just wasn't as fun as I thought it should be.

24. Robocop - The classic film from the 80s, still great. "I'd buy that for a dollar!"

Big Daddy V for me. Great theme, nice manager in Striker and he looked very menacing.
Mabel was okay but nothing special. Viscera always came across as a jobber and World's largest Love Machine was straight up wrestlecrap (amusing but going nowhere).

Full Robocop fight, including one of his outros. So he blew him up then put him back together to take him down to the Detroit City Police Station? Nice lol

We have a humanoid pig, a zombie, a platypus, an elder cosmic entity, a clown themed supervillain and a gopher but no Aliens, yet.

I really like Alien 3, I think it's the whole setup and theme of the location which I find quite unique. An alien planet used as a prison but with architecture that is all very industrial & gothic. The prisoners are seemingly left to do there own thing as there is no way off the rock. The semi-religous faith they have is interesting and they have no weapons to deal with the xenomorph.
Plus the cast of predominantly english actors is incredibly good. Charles Dance, Pete Postlethwaite, Paul McGann, Brian Glover etc ...
Some really hate that they bumped off Newt and Hicks, I was never really bothered by that.

Ah yes, the confusion of my childhood. Turning on cartoons and seeing Dennis the Menace is next, then wondering why he looks or acts nothing like the Beano comic.
