Midway having multiple attempts to recreate Mortal Kombat's success by shamelessly ripping it off might count, even with the fact Ed Boon and the others actually making Mortal Kombat were not pleased and felt it was detrimental to Mortal Kombat, probably because it kind of was.
One that I think is a clearer example would be John Carmack and the rest of id Software licensing the Wolfenstein 3D engine they created for Super Nintendo to Wisdom Tree to make Super Noah's Ark for the SNES. While Wisdom Tree DID license the engine fair and square, what makes it a bootleg was that they did it while evading Super Nintendo's protections intended to prevent unauthorized cartridges, something id Software were fully aware Wisdom Tree intended to do, licensing it to them anyway, thus leaving them still connected to what was essentially still a bootleg game in its own way.

I always remembered the TMNT animated show ending in the early 90s. Finding out as an adult that it went to 1996 with stuff like the Red Sky seasons and Lord Dregg was bewildering. Turtles fell off so hard after 1993 in the broader consciousness that even pop culture osmosis didn't allow me to be aware of the show passed that point. It's wild to think the 2003 series was only 7 years after that, and only 5 after the Next Mutation. In turn, it ended a mere 3 years before the Nickelodeon series began. There have really not been many Ninja Turtles droughts since it began.

I want WWE to throw Ryback money to have him and Punk wrestle in Saudi Arabia for maximum embarrassment for somehow every party involved.

Hunter has to be thinking about having Punk job clean as a sheet to Miz on a Saudi show, right? Why bother? This is the same guy who told Triple H he didn't need him, that Triple H needed him, and now, he spends an hour on the phone asking Triple H for a job, pretty please with sugar on top. Triple H already has humiliated him as it is.

One of two things happens: Punk dumbs himself out of position again, or he sucks it up and swallows his pride to not rock the boat in WWE. Either way, good for his fans, and not super shocked in the grand scheme of things given what we've learned of CM Punk's supposed integrity in the past few years. Of course he crawled back.

Never forget how cool Roman looked sitting in the cage last year Trying to use a public bathroom when the guy in the next stall starts trying to talk to you.

AVGN side characters peaked with Bootsy in Board James. A lot of stuff peaked with Board James, honestly.

A Transformers Beat Em Up would be sweet. GI Joe could work well too, but there arent enough characters who are adept at physical combat. I think you could still get enough going, even if it probably helps if you have Storm Shadow as playable given his sometimes antihero status. Snake Eyes, Scarlett, Lady Jaye with the javelins, Roadblock, probably Duke as a given, Sgt. Slaughter perhaps, etc. There's also Jinx and Kamakura, but I get if they are too obscure for this.

A Masters of the Universe or Thundercats game in the style of the Capcom D&D series would be sick. I'd also love an '80s WWF beat 'em up game - not a wrestling game, but a Final Fight type game where you're fighting your way through the city as Hulk Hogan or Ultimate Warrior, with guys like the Brooklyn Brawler, Dino Bravo, and Akeem as the regular enemies, and bosses like Andre, Demolition, and Randy Savage. There's Betrayal for the Game Boy Color that is kind of a primitive version of this, but yeah, it's pretty untapped. You'd figure generic jobbers or random people like bikers, building to named wrestlers as bosses (maybe that you unlock as playable) would be a solid model for such a game.

There's an idea in there somewhere, but the execution and the angle they approached it from condemned this to be absolute trash.

Is this game really doable without the first one and the Miles game, or is it going to be completely incoherent?

That one's also sort of weird in that it isn't like it was a distaste thing so much as them just not having a ton of shared interests outside of work, and that they also could often intuit what the other one wanted without really even needing to say much. You also have the issue of, if they are together in public, people recognize them far more frequently, so even if they did want to hang out, it's just asking to get mobbed. you could even tell on the show that their personalities are diametric opposites. Right, which is why Jamie suggested Adam to begin with for the show, I think. They knew one another and had worked together on projects, but Jamie knows he's not a dynamic onscreen personality, and that Adam is more charismatic. They also just have different approaches to things, so they complimented one another. Still, not too shocking they'd not really click on a personal level given those same differences, along with Jamie being older than him and for all intents and purposes his boss on Mythbusters.

Apparently RVD said he lost some of his planned Philly event bookings after appearing in AEW so I wouldn't be surprised if it bugged people but I doubt they care that much given he's still in their opening montage. Yeah, I doubt some people are ecstatic, but it's not going to be most people unless they already have issues with him and this is just something they can hone in on.

WBD have been bleeding money since at least the HBO Max debacle launched... followed by... everything after... so yeah... they want to make the money now.... though for Tremor I could see them going Kameos are the classic versions of characters... as if Tremor was really a thing <_< It sucks too because there's a really fun fighting game in there with MK1. But they've cut so many corners with presentation, micro-transactions that are excessively bad, removing pre-match dialogue, bugs that shouldn't have made it out of QA, and lazy Kameos that it makes me wish NRS was owned by someone not WBD. It's a lot of the same kind of stuff that plagued Street Fighter V initially, where Sony threw money at Capcom to make it and put it out before they were really ready to do that, only that was more barren but more polished, whereas this has more content off the bat, but a disconnect with fans about the kind of content they want and also a lot of rough edges where things clearly need tinkering and smoothing.

Penn Jillette has spoken a lot about how he and Teller get along. He says they are not friends. They’re business partners. The show is the most important thing. They don’t socialize outside of work and have very separate lives. He says all that and then says “By any measure, Teller is my best friend” The Mythbusters too, Adam and Jamie respected each other professionally, Jamie knew Adam would be the perfect guy for TV but they weren't friends and after 14 seasons barely spoke off camera.

Cyborg's dad is still alive, I think. They have a complicated relationship to say the least, but he's not (I believe?) dead.

Speaking of potential Bloodline members, Lance Anoa'i and Juicy Finau have left MLW. Hell, they've used Lance before, so I wouldn't be terribly shocked if he comes back through.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised given their studio is called "GameMill", like it just conjures "puppy mill, but for games", and that's one hell of an indictment.
