He's getting a haircut. Vince met the news with histrionic sobbing and threatened to demote Roman into Butch's littermate, but Roman's just tired of showers taking so long, man.
(Seriously, though, I hope it's not a health issue.)

They probably mean "RPG" in the sense of grinding through content for incremental numerical boosts, but I'm totally imagining a BioWare-style pro wrestling RPG right now. The morality meter goes from Respecting the Business to Grabbing the Brass Ring, changes in your status being indicated by icons of Bret or HBK.
Everybody on the roster is romanceable, of course.

It's enjoyable, but it also feels like it's mainly a way of marking time for Bryan and Mox until there's room for another main event angle for either of them.

Outside of Janela actually injuring people, I really can't think of a single upside either of them have over any of the guys whose contracts just ran out.
Get what you can out of them putting people over on the web shows, and unless either of them shows a marked improvement, call it a day once their deals lapse. Nobody can argue with a straight face that talent as performers is why they're being used more than somebody like Sonny Kiss.

I have no doubt that his run would be brief and end horribly in a conflagration of burnt bridges that'd provide material for shoot interviews for years to come.
Hell yeah, bring Enzo in.

They need to get to Fenix vs Joe. 100% mandatory.

There must be some clause in the Geneva convention against advertising Fenix vs Dante Martin NEXT and then showing a Brian Pillman Jr promo.

Right after Marko Stunt leaves the company, Big Cass shows up. Coincidence?

I also sort of think the problem with asking for a new LU is that the format was so niche and basically supported off the name of Robert Rodriguez that the ratings it did doesn't really justify trying again. I seriously doubt a wrestling show with more WWE/AEW-like presentation would've performed any better on El Rey. Trying to launch a new cable network in 2013, when the format was already starting to be supplanted by streaming alternatives, was a poorly-conceived idea from the start, particularly when it was targeted towards an emerging minority demographic who'd be even less likely to adopt an aging legacy format.

That Montreal crowd was on his head at backlash 2004. I love that match. The white hot hatred from the fans for Shawn is amazing, and despite nominally being booked as a face Michaels decides to just milk it for all it's worth. HBK has Benoit down, giant "YOU SCREWED BRET" chant, Michaels just slowly looks around with this contemptuous smirk, then puts Benoit in the sharpshooter. The entire arena boos their lungs out.

f***ing nerds and their fetish for Kenny overrated Omega. Yoshihiko carried him in that match.

I remember they beat HHH in a handicap match and HHH immediately got on the mic and in this goofy ass voice goes like "ohhh gosh oh jeez those guys really beat me up wow" I literally remember during that match thinking "How are they going to play this when the story needs Hunter to lose to have a reason to bring in HBK but Triple H can't let himself ever look vulnerable?" and then Legacy wins, HHH gets the mic and immediately starts joking around about it, segment ends with him posing in the ring to his theme while Cody and Ted stand on the stage looking terrified of him.

I came into this thread expecting to laugh because Ryback tweeting stupid shit is usually worth a laugh, sometimes with him and sometimes at him.
This is just f***ed up, and not in the usual "dumb guy with an inflated opinion of himself" way. Dude needs to take a long look at himself in the mirror and ask what he's doing with his life.

UFC is way bigger than it was in the late '90s, so if he came in now after a comparative level of success in MMA, they'd probably roll out the red carpet for him and treat him like a big celeb attraction, and give him opponents and angles that could work around his lack of charisma.

Remember when Michael Tarver had the gimmick post-Nexus where he was... lurking around in the background sometimes in backstage vignettes? And then got released without it ever going anywhere? That's what the Kip stuff reminds me of. I'm surprised he doesn't come up in the "who's contract isn't going to be renewed" topics alongside Marko Stunt.

It's the year 2022 and there are still regularly fans in nWo t-shirts in the crowds, for both WWE and AEW. IIRC, that shirt's still one of WWE's best-selling pieces of merch, despite the faction ceasing to exist decades ago.
The nWo went on forever because it was a money train, despite being creatively exhausted after the first couple years. It's one of the most successful wrestling angles of all time.

Remember when TNA on Spike consistently got around a 1.1 Nielsen rating and this was seen as pathetically bad?

Top Five Randy Orton Career Moments: -That incredible, baffling giant split-leg cheerleader jump he did in the middle of the ring that one time -Wearing a stealth suit to go burn down Bray Wyatt's evil house and break his heart -The Seth RKO reversal, sure -Miracle on 34th Street Fight -"RING THE BELL? There's NO BELL to RING... YOU DID THIS." BONUS: That time Kofi was supposed to rescue Piper from getting punted but they forgot to cue his music so Orton just shuffled around in the ring for like 20 seconds before turning to the hard camera and shrugging.

I mean, if it keeps his name out there while he's waiting for his contract to expire and it isn't flagrantly racist, go for it.
