The reign of terror by far. Since I didn't watch Smackdown, I became very bored of HHH just stomping out everyone, and I was a big fan of his right up until the brand extension. It was just painful until Evolution was a healthy stable. Even then watching Flair essentially blow HHH in the ring each week was tiresome.

Even Manu and Sim Snuka would have made a decent tag team, just get them a manager pronto.
I still think Manu should have had a civilized samoan gimmick. He isn't wild enough, and heatbutts hurt him, but gosh darn it he is a modern samoan that isn't barbaric. Just imagine him working to tame Umaga. Priceless, or at least more entertaining than what we got.

I always enjoyed watching him wrestle, and thought he could have succeeded when he returned to win the IC title from Shawn Michaels back in 1993. Marty always seemed over, and I could see him main eventing IF he stayed clean and adopted a gimmick change

Even with all that said, I still conked out during the main event. I'm very bored with the writing, and it's like they aren't even trying at times. These days I find myself looking more forward to ECW, Smackdown, and Superstars. Hence, why I like the brand split. More variety in who is on my TV. There is more wrestling which I like, but still too many promos reminded me of how they are killing a perfectly good main event storyline.

I understand where you are coming from completely. I've been a fan since Survivor Series 1991 when I was 9 years old. Since that time I watched consitently with the exception of long periods in 1994-95, and 2003 to early 2008 was all on and off again viewing.
As a diehard fan for nearly 18 years, the best of WWF ended when they became the WWE. When the Invasion failed, it was just never the same. The brand split dilluted the roster, and the last few years of The Rock and Stone Cold weren't nearly as memorable. The attitude era was so incredible that when wrestling became ordinary again, it just didn't feel the same. With jobs and women demanding my attention, I drifted away but still followed it online here and there.
Beginning of 2008 I got my own apartment and a DVR, so I started watching again regularly. My current opinion on the product is favorable, and the WWE is clearly on the upswing. I might be one of the few supporters of the brand extension, but I enjoy the current format very much. You can't argue the brand extensions has and is creating new stars, and with the upcoming retirements of many key main eventers we are going to see some fresh new faces.
I wouldn't quite say that all the characters are rehashes of prior ones. While Randy Orton seems to be the new Austin and Cena the new Rock, they really are completely different characters that stand for something much different. Yeah many of the storylines need work and seemed to be rehashed, but they are not all the same. The original ones are the ones that seem to get new stars over rather than rehashing an old gimmick. This is how a guy like Santino can get over and guys with "potential" can't.

I'm suprised since I thought Miz was no good, but I'm becoming quite impressed with him now. His mic ability is incredible, and he is likely next in line when it comes to the US Title.
I have an incredible thought:
Wrestlemania 26
Unification Match
Intercontinental Champion John Morrison VS US Champion The Miz
I can easily see this happening, and they put on an incredible match to push both to the next level with many main eventers leaving next year.

The days of waiting for a quad injury to take HHH off TV are over. He is 38 or 39 I believe, and unless he meets a tragic end, he'll easily be on TV for the next 30 years in some role as a McMahon. The thing is that at that age. That injury is more likely to happen. If he isn't an active wrestler, they'll put him in Vicki's wheel chair.

I like MVP, but he still looks too stiff in the ring, like it isn't quite natural. While he did have a great promo, so did Shelton Benjamin. Let's see if he is still over 6 months from now.

It would be genius.....have a side plot with Randy being overparanoid, with Garrisson trying to get Ned and Jimbo to rid of the Mexicans. Meanwhile, Cartman blames Kyle and Al Gore is after ManBearPig.

"When the fear of swine flu grips South Park, citizens begin turning on each other out of fear that each and every person has the swine flu. The flu shuts down school and fear grips South Park. Soon the boys, and Al Gore, discover the only way to beat the flu is to track down it's origins."

"Isn't that Cialis commerical with John Cena putting Cole in that hammerlock, and popping a boner totally vintage?"
The Main Eventers in the WWE are all 2nd or 3rd generation. No one without bloodlines has held the belt in 4 years! The 4th generation stars begin appearing, looking entitled to follow in the footsteps of the vast talent that entered the WWE around 2010. A new star emerges to kick the snot out of the nepotism-filled WWE.
Somehow, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Goldust have become the 3 time tag champions.
Friend One: "Man, I can't believe that Batista is still in jail for statutory rape."
Friend Two: "Don't blame him, I thought she was at least 22 not 15."
Friend One: "Yeah, at least it beats what that sicko CM Punk did"

Ted Dibiase will. He will win it as a heel with his two brothers by his side. They will change the title to an extravagant, very fancy belt. This will officially kick off the new generation of stars and the WWE will change the title.

Personally I really wish they'd go back to the more R rated stuff, a lot of what they show today I simply can not watch with friends in spite of the often high quality matches. Very true, for awhile it was a good thing to admit you are a fan of wrestling. Now it's back to being for backwater folk in the mainstream's view.

The Rock had HHH Orton has Batista (lesser extent) Edge and Cena Pillman and Austin
Pillman and Austin in my eyes were always on equal footing, but Pillman seemed like he was slightly more of a star than Austin. These two would have played off each other, with Pillman being the insane heel that would do anything to destroy Austin. Pillman would have had a character with Edge's "insane" gimmick, Mick Foley's hardcore style, and the technical and aerial abilities of a Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels.
Pillman may have been injured and not as great as he once was, but neither was Austin. They were amazing earlier in their careers, but I was never all that impressed with Austin in the ring in the WWE. But, the intense promos, feuds, and brawls they could have had would have offset it, until they both retired of injuries by 2002 at the latest.
He would have had HHHs spot before HHH even had it. Had Pillman lived, I don't see HHH becoming a star until the InVasion angle in 2001, and maybe even 2002. As for Owen, I never saw him in the Main Event. However, I said the same for JBL. Could Owen have had JBLs spot if he decided to wrestle? Owen was going to quit the WWE anyway had he lived.

2 Things:
1) Only have outside interference in boring matches, I was enjoying Christian VS Dreamer before Swagger killed it. He did get alot of heat for interrupting that match though
2) I knew a gimmick change was coming for Kozlov. Maybe he can find Kurrgan and his commando friend and reform the Truth Commission

No offense to the OP, but.... How many Santina threads are we going to get? As long as he is clearly the most over thing in WWE.......I'd say 6 a day

Sometimes the newz sites report the blatantly obvious, like DH Smith is going to join Kidd and Natalya...or HHH is going to return and likely main event summerslam.
Crap, looks like WWE has been spoiled for me now :rolls eyes:
