Considering they had an inkling that something dodgy had potentially taken place they should have taken a safer option like showing the 2007 Royal Rumble and the World title matches from Wrestlemania 23 until the full details were known.
Ploughing headfirst into a full on tribute was absolutely ridiculous considering the incidents over that weekend.

Watching live sport and missing important moments of action because they showed 157 replays of an incident while the game was still going on made me angry today.

Been a while since I updated so in addition to Unchartered 1,2, 3 and the Ghostbusters video game i've finished...
Resistance Fall of Man. I got really bored towards the end. I'm not a big fan of First person shooters so i'm probably not the best person to review such a game
Heavy Rain. I enjoyed it, it was a different style of game. Something I will probably go back and play again to uncover the multiple endings. BTW, I got an ending where I saved the child but ended up being shot by the police and the origami killer got away.
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn I figured something lighter was needed after playing Resistance and Heavy Rain and Tintin. It's a quick and easy game to play and I think I enjoyed it more by not being familiar with the movie, because I understand that it's essentially the entire movie in video game form.
Batman Arkham Asylum I loved the creepy and claustrophobic feeling that the Arkham Asylum area provided, something I felt got lost with the larger environments in the other games. Although the boss battle with The Joker is a little underwhelming the Killer Croc and Scarecrow parts are amazing. I also had fun just wandering around the Asylum complex after finishing the game just taking in the atmosphere of the place.
Batman Arkham City It's weird because I get that City is a superior game in many ways to Asylum, I loved the parts battling The Penguin, Ra's al Ghul and Mr Freeze, but I felt it was just lacking something. Maybe too many things were going in the story and ultimately elements were rushed, glossed over or completely forgotten about (eg. the Titan blood spreading around the City) Batman Arkham Origins I read that this was the least regarded of the Arkham games so I was very surprised when I played it that it had such an underwhelming reputation. The Assassins storyline was compelling and we got to see a new range of lesser known characters, and the battles were far more intense than the previous games.
I've currently got two games on the go, South Park the stick of Truth and Prince of Persia so hopefully these will be added to the list soon!

You know Dude, I actually wrote 'New York, New York' brother. In front of 750,000 fans at MSG dude, I hit a 450 splash on Bundy...and when i'm upside down coming off the top rope I suddenly see Sinatra sitting in the front row brother, and after the match I quickly wrote down the words and gave them to him dude.
Later Sinatra thanked me and said Hulk brother, I'd never have made it without you dude.

while some of the British only PPVs are not the worst, they where glorified house shows basically (European Title changed hands a couple of time at least) though Capital Carnage had the dark match of Droz and Mosh and the second match on the card was L.O.D (Droz version) vs Headbangers No Mercy featured Tiger Ali Singh vs Gillberg as well as Nicole Bass vs Tori The 1993 UK Rampage is a particularly grim looking card. Fatu v Saggs Kamala v Doink Mr Perfect v Samu Bob Backlund v Damien Demento Typhoon v Brooklyn Brawler Crush v HBK And your main event... Hacksaw Jim Duggan v Lex Luger

I just came across this poster on twitter advertising a WWF show and I think it's one of the worst cards that i've ever seen for a major promotion. To think of all the star power in the WWF in 1988 and this is the lineup that some unfortunate souls got to witness. 😲 Anybody got any worse looking cards?

He was someone who I began to truly appreciate by watching more of his work on the Network. Before that I was only familiar with him in the Wrestlemania 1 tag match and hadn't realised what a fantastic performer he was.

I think it's actually increased his legacy.
The guy made a clean break from wrestling in his mid 30s to spend the rest of his life doing exactly what he wants to do. He's the exact opposite of Flair, and I think a lot of people in the wrestling industry will be envious of the way that he was able to cut wrestling out of his life and not need to come back for even one more match.

Not jumping to any conclusions after watching Italy dispose of a poor Turkish team. But Italy still strike me as the sort of team who have Quarter Final exit written all over them. They'll beat the teams they are expected to, probably knock out someone like Austria in the Last 16 and then get turfed out by a Spain in the Quarters.
I have a really strong fancy for Germany to win this tournament. I know they have the hardest group, but with 3 teams qualifying from most groups it's not a problem and will probably give them good match practice by playing against top teams from the outset.

I think you could actually make a pretty fun one night only show for the New Generation-ers
In Your House 2021
Smoking Gunns v Leif Cassidy/Marty Jannetty
X-Factor Collides Aldo Montoya v 123 Kid
Jeff Jarrett v Hunter Hearst Helmsley
Undertaker v Isaac Yankem DDS
Shawn Michaels v Diesel- Special Ref Razor Ramon
A Kings Court with Bret Hart
An open mic debate between Sycho Sid and Bob Backlund
Have the likes of Flash Funk, Justin Bradshaw, Goldust, Hakushi, Savio Vega, Tatanka, Barry Horrowitz, Bob Holly, The Godwins, Duke the Dumpster and Kama in a New Gen Battle Royal.
Hell i'd watch that show.

Around 2001 I wanted William Regal to become WWF Champion. I always hoped and kind of expected that he would get a short term run with it when he was commissioner.
Then when I thought I was finally going to see Regal as a world champion in the mid-2000s he got hit with the wellness suspension.

No. Henry had been with WWE since...1996? I think; it would be same, perhaps, as Kane going over Cena in 2013. As tired as people might have been of John Cena at that point, having Henry go over would have been worse. This was at the same time that Big Show was putting Braun Strowman over which felt right, actually. I kind of agree with you, but I will defend Mark Henry by saying at least his character was improving with age at this time, whereas Kane was a sad and pitiful sight for a number of years before he went away.

I mainly remember him because when they were heavily editing their old content they had to blur out his t-shirt because it said WWF on it. I think it's on my Raw the beginning boxset.

couple of British examples Teachers, ran 4 series with none of the same regulars there by the end (some supporting characters appeared throughout), including killing off two of it's original characters (along with a 3rd) between series 3 and 4 I don't think a comedy has ever fallen off a cliff as quickly as Teachers did. The difference in quality between the first 2 series and the woeful last 2 series is incredible.

I wonder if Bradshaw would have tried his bullying initiation tactics on New Jack had he ever joined the WWF? 🤔

Was it the opening match? Maybe the rest of the talent were delayed getting to the building and it was long to stall for time. I recall a story where Duke Droese had to do the same thing once, with Aldo Montoya no less, and they just kept going until the rest of the talent started showing up and were literally being sent straight to the ring. I recall Cornette talking about an incident happening in the WWF around this period where a lot of wrestlers were stuck somewhere, and an early jobberific match had to go on for an obscene length of time to allow the wrestlers to arrive. I really can't see any other reason as to why a match like this would go on for that long.
