Probably Alex Riley. Not that I think Riley matters, but it makes sense storyline wise...doesn't hurt anyone important with an unneeded L... and doesn't interrupt any other storylines.
EDIT: Just noticed the main roster bit, Ziggler or Cesaro for workrate purposes.

Why did they make the tournament only last two days? Something something millenials

Jimmy Uso could main event a RAW/SmackDown with Jay in a multi team tag match. Alex Riley could main event a weekly NXT episode, if its against Owens/Zayn/Balor (or the like.
So yeah, no...not really.

I have tickets to this show. I have hopes that Ambrose will win. I have to think we'll get a Rollins, Reigns, Ambrose triple threat at some point and what better way than a Rollins as champ, Reigns as Royal Rumble winner, Ambrose (announcing the cash in well beforehand) WrestleMania main event.
With that said, Ambrose is my sentimental favorite... Sheamus is my guess if a gun is pointed at my head... and Finn Balor is my longshot.

Dean Ambrose will never be WWE World Heavyweight Champion. I will not claim, in any way, to know the man who plays the character 'Dean Ambrose' each week on WWE television. I will say that he is hands down my favorite character in professional wrestling since the early incarnation of Stone Cold Steve Austin. He is extremely believable in his gimmick and has found a solid sustainable role for himself. I *wish* he could be World Champion, and I think that when given the opportunity he did very well himself in the main event scene. Despite wonky booking, and some questionable endings to recent matches, he is still viable as a threat. It is believable that this never say die lunatic could beat anyone on the roster, including Brock Lesnar, in any contest if given the chance. But he wont. It is possible that, at any given moment, he could get the backing of those in charge and be handed the golden ticket. But he wont. I, and a vocal section of the WWE fan base, would be very happy if he were thrust into that position. But he wont. Beneath the lunatic gimmick that he plays so well, the man is humble and appreciative of his current role. Coming from a rough background, working his way across the world to earn his current spot, the guy is frankly 'too happy' to be champion. I am not at all saying he isn't hungry, that he doesn't want the spot, or that he is overly comfortable with his current placement on the card. In fact I am willing to bet that he 'wants' be champion, that its what gets him out of bed each day, and that he works extremely hard to be where he is. At the end of the day though, I am of the opinion that he is extremely thankful to have started where he did and ended up earning a very good living, finding purpose, friendship, fame, and even love in the world of professional wrestling. The business doesn't seem to elevate the 'good guys' though.

MitB, and it isn't even close. Beyond Austin, and to a lesser extent Owen, KotR was meaningless garbage. I love the idea of the KotR tournament, and yes it would be fantastic if it borrowed heavily from NJPW buuuuuuut as it was/would be it isn't all that special. What if they booked it with meaning. You can't just assume if it returned it would be meaningless. I know good will with WWE is down but the MITB is just there to put over a future top heel. What if they give the KOTR some justice. Yes, there is potential for KOTR...it could be as amazing as the G1 Climax but it isn't going to happen.

Enzo and Cass are lovable dbags, Carmella is not lovable. Some would say that Carmella is the 'Yoko' of the group, which would be wrong because she is the 'Poochy' of the group...completely unneeded and unwanted.
'Blue Pants' being insanely over is at least 1/3 out of hatred for Carmella.

They really had some momentum for the guy when he was 'fired' by The Authority. Maybe just have Hunter or Vince berate the guy on TV, have him off TV for a few months, reintroduce him as a lackey and do a sloooow face build? Hes paid his dues, done 'okay' to well with some questionable roles, and frankly its now or never as far as elevation goes.

Ive learned that for 'big events'- maybe 'events I actually *care* to go to' is a better term- finding a presale code is a must.

Reigns beats Lesnar, crowd chants for Rollins to come cash in, announce team does that awkward 'pretend nothing is going to happen but you totally know it is' thing, Vinces face appears on the tron and says "You're still here? It's over! Go home. Go!" ala Ferris Bueller.

At this point all I can do is laugh at how awful the last few months of WWE programming has been, and hope that -since I already have tickets- things will be better by MITB.
