He is a legend, and my favorite wrestler of all time.
Which is really saying something considering he never looked like a wrestler, lacked any real flashy moves, and never did 450 Splashes off the top rope or five minute chain wrestling marathons.
He has an ability to get into character and convince you that everything is genuine that most wrestlers lack. Never did I mark out more than when he won the WWF Title on RAW.

I really cant buy such a clean cut looking, baby faced guy as some kinda badass, vicious brawler type.
I know, I know, in real life that doesn't affect if someone is a tough guy or not, but this is wrestling and I need visual aids. Burchill would work a lot better than him in this role.
I will admit I haven't bothered to watch much lately so I am judging more based on his debut up to the Bragging Rights PPV, so I apologize if he has suddenly turned awesome and believable somehow since.

Its a bit of an unfair comparison since Brock isn't anywhere near close to peaking yet.
At this stage, Fedor, but that could easily change.

I must be in the minority but I never really saw anything in the guy. Hes a good journeyman as well as an accomplished tag specialist. I think TNA really dropped the ball on him, personally. Good thing is, perhaps this will lead to WWE resigning him for a reunion with Cade. Otherwise he can just go work Japan, doubt he is hurting for employment opportunities.

When you have guys like Hogan, Hart, Savage, Nash, Sting, DDP, and Goldberg in the main event they couldn't make room. It was when Hogan left, Hart left, and Savage left that the midcard guys started to make a rise. Aside from Benoit.....which midcard guys rose, exactly? I mean, I guess if moving from WCW to WWF was counted as a "rise", I see what you mean, but otherwise.... Only guys I can think of were like, Scott Steiner and Booker T. but that was bound to happen eventually anyway.

This promo, as well as the one where he said he wants to make Jesus tap out, are hilarious. I loved the Jesus promo since it was basically WWE saying at the time "Okay guys, you arent going to cheer Cena over Angle so we give up. Heres a promo mocking the absurd levels we reached in an attempt to get you to stop booing poor John."

Matt Striker is NOT as smart as he thinks.....He stated that Y2J beat Rock & Austin in the same night in a TRIPLE THREAT MATCH...As i am a loyal fan i believe this is a very bad mistake on Matt's Behalf...very disappointed...Im just saying... Eh it was a gaff, but at least the sort of gaff that makes Jericho look stronger as a contender. In all honesty, its better than telling the truth and saying "Remember when Jericho became the first Undisputed Champion by first beating the Rock after cheating in every way possible, still failing, only to cheat more after McMahon distracted Rock and allowed Jericho a really cheap win? Then Todd, he defeated Steve Austin after interference by like three people and a belt shot by Booker T? Technically he should have lost since Austin made Jericho tap out to his own finisher but the ref was down so thats besides the point. Jericho is a serious threat to Undertakers belt!"

I recall Armstrong pissing me off a lot on ECW with a bunch of blown calls and bad counts. Not to mention when he once DQed the New Breed during a tag match for...breaking up a pinfall. Yeah, they have Brad and Scott under contract, one was great in the ring but, sucked on the mic so they made him a commentator and the other was the worst of the lot in the ring so the make him a ref. Worst thing about that tag match was it was a MAIN EVENT...it annoyed me so much that I have disliked the guy ever since. I suppose its a flimsy excuse for wanting to see a ref get beaten up, but hey...I have to come up with ways to entertain myself.

I dont really get why people complain about Foley switching heel and face a lot.
Is it not sort of obvious by now that Foleys TNA character is supposed to be a really mentally unstable schizo who more often than not doesn't even know what he will do next, has multiple personalities and a really skewed perception of reality?
I got that pretty early on. Hes like Kane in WWE, a really random and confused personality who could be heel one month and face the next because he is INSANE.

All I have to say is, Punk was absolutely right last week about Armstrong's awful pin counts. I've always hated them. I recall Armstrong pissing me off a lot on ECW with a bunch of blown calls and bad counts. Not to mention when he once DQed the New Breed during a tag match for...breaking up a pinfall.

If Bischoff actually has any power, Raven won't be around for long. Pretty sure he doesn't in that capacity...and if Eazy E can deal with working for Vince I am confident he could deal with Raven working in TNA.

I liked the angle, but it was a case of: 1. JR being too likable and seeming off and uncomfortable heeling it up. Kinda like Bret Hart, but he adapted and managed to make it work where as JR really couldn't. 2. His reasons for being a dick were actually understandable and agreeable. It was like if they tried to make Austin a heel in the McMahon feud. Nobody is going to boo a guy sticking up for himself against a rich boss, especially if he has a good reason for it. Agreed. Did you hear the pop he got when he called the toga thing "stupid"? THAT's what makes me think a Ross explosion on today's product would go over HUGE. Especially if he were to, say....bring in a wrestler that's his idea of what the company should be built around, and what the company should embody. Could be a huge launchpad for a future talent. Even as a kid I remember marking out during this. It definitely didn't help that WCW was red hot at the time and WWF was pretty sucky. Only thing I really enjoyed then was the Taker vs. Mankind feud. I remember agreeing with him a bunch and then being confused that he was a heel. I guess it was the whole promising Razor and Diesel thing and then crapping on the fans hopes by bring out fakes, but that didn't work for me since I was a 12 year old mark with no internet and even I was not stupid or naive enough to think NAsh and Hall were actually going to show up.

Come to think, I am not sure what Scott Hudsons status is or if he has any interest but he would be a GREAT choice, I always thought he was extremely underrated. They tried to get him when they bought out WCW but, he didn't want to move his family. Yeah I figured as much. Good on him, though as a selfish wrestling fan I wish he would reconsider.

honestly I think the "lawsuit" leads to a Hornswoggle heel turn after costing DX the WWE championship at Survivor Series That will surely unseat Hogan being the third man as the biggest money making angle in history. Everyone can relax, boom period ahoy!

I don't blame them really, most of the WWE progamming sucks at the moment. ...oh wait, you meant... oh? Well, surely boycotting is the stupidest thing to do. It's hardly going to change the 'Es mind. What isn't highlighted here is that Israeli television is ten years behind in WWE chronology. If anything this is good news, it prevents a possible international incident when the crowd riots expecting a main event of The Rock vs. Austin with Shane McMahon as special ref and instead gets John Cena and Hornswoggle vs. Chavo Guerrero and Chris Masters.

If the greatest announcer in the history of this industry were to show up on WWe programming, I'd mark out like a pre-teenage girl at a Hannah Montana concert. I never thought I would see the day either, where I would miss Tony. Back in the WCW days I would make a game of pointing out his miscalls and hyperbole. Despite that though, he is ten times better than any of these play by play guys WWE have dug up since then. My favorite Schiavoneism wasn't even the oft quoted GREATEST NIGHT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR SPORT! It was how he called at least ten different moves a "Sidewalk Slam."

I really wish the DX one said SUCK IT! on it.
Sooooooo many bris jokes right there.
Scotty Goldman really missed his big merchandising opportunity.
