One of the major issues with WWE production is that every entrance is a grand production. That can be fine but it basically makes every entrance like a programmed video game entrance that's the same every time regardless of the story. Exactly what I came in to post. In their defense, I get it. People pay good money to attend a show, and they expect to see everybody’s grand entrance, catchphrase, signature move/finisher, etc. Problem is, that often times gets in the way of long term storylines & TV ratings.

I believe he made an appearance in one of the last Best Of The WWF Coliseum Videos.

It felt like every single week’s main event was a tag team match merging two feuds.

I always looked at it as the top 2 matches being a face vs. a face.

They didn’t taste that great to be honest, especially for the asking price.

Booking is ATROCIOUS. We get the same matches week after week and then that same match on the PPV. This was rarely an issue in the 90s through the mid 2000s. Exact same formula too. Lower card champions will lose a non-title match, leading to a match at the PPV. The current tag team feud will face each other in combinations of various single matches, and expect the champs to job a lot there too.

For me it’s the entire rise, fall, and redemption of Randy Savage from 1988 to 1992, the arc beginning and ending with WWF title wins at WrestleMania. You got the forming and breakup of The Mega Powers, the turn to the darkside with Sherri and Zeus, the retirement match at VII, the marriage to Elizabeth, and the legendary feud with Jake Roberts. It was a great five year stretch.

Got it for the SNES on Christmas 1995 and played the absolute hell out of it for many year. It wasn’t until years later that I discovered each wrestler had mega moves.

I think in his mind be is pleased that the WWE has turned into a very profitable global company, and have shed most of the negative stigma involving pro wrestling’s complicated past. The fact that the storylines/booking are predictable, basic as hell and every episode feels like a repeat is by design.

My friend and I paid damn good money for floor seats to the Barclays and we both felt like we were slapped in the face. I can’t even imagine how the fans at the Manhattan Center felt. I still have the chair as a reminder, but my friend wisely sold his to someone outside the arena after the show.
Outside of NXT Takeover, I don’t think i’ll ever attend another show live.

The complete WWF Hasbro collection w/ all accessories, and a bagged Hogan mailaway figure.
A replica WWF Winged Eagle belt signed by Hogan, Hart, HBK, Flair, Nash, Sid, Undertaker, Slaughter, and DiBiase. 12 years in the making between first signature and last. Hoping for one day to get the chance for Austin to sign it.

The roster started to get very cartoony, which probably turned off a lot of fans from the 80s.
Also, could the decline in viewership be attributed to the sexual allegations and steroid distribution rumors? There were numerous news segments of the “dark side of the wwf” coming to public view. Vince McMahon even shot a segment addressing it that aired of WWF programming for a few weeks.

Why are these people worried about having someone in their alliance going up?!? NOT INVCLUDING YOURSELF, THERE'S ONLY 7 OF LEFT IN THE HOUSE AND YOU'RE ALIGNED WITH 5 OF THEM. WHAT THE f*** ARE WE DOING? Granted, i’m a BB newbie compared to most in this thread as this is my 3rd year watching, but I ask myself that question every year so far. Make some damn plays already!

Back when I was working at EB Games and more heavily invested in games then I am now, there definitely was a sort of resentment towards “casual gamers” (the type who only play sports games and Call of Duty), from the “hardcore gamers” (the type who invest 100s of hours into RPGs and play indie games.

No love for Mr. Collins from The Wonder Years?
Tough but fair, loved his profession, and made a lasting impact on a young Kevin Arnold.

I loved Wrestling Challenge just as much as Superstars as a kid. How could you go wrong with Gorilla and The Brain on commentary?

I started watching right around the time Flair debuted. I had no idea who he was as i’m sure many kids my age didn’t. But one of my first memories of watching wrestling was over a friends house. There was a MSG house show on TV and his old man was watching it in the other room. I will never forget his reaction to seeing Flair vs. Hogan actually happening.
