If he lost Vince's faith at Mania, he's gained it back since. They don't give Shane matches to just anybody. Also, Vince doesn't let just anyone legit headbutt and beat the hell out of him. I'll give Vince that, even though I think his stubborn and questionable booking has hindered the development of new stars in recent years and helped cause resentment from fans and the decline in ratings and attendance that we're seeing, he did make Owens look like a million bucks and is the one member of his family that's not afraid to occasionally let talent look more badass than him.

Has his position really dropped that much? He isn't in the WWE Title picture at the moment, but he is in the middle of the top feud/angle on Smackdown. That doesn't mean they can't completely screw that up either out of spite or pure incompetence, but he's currently in a better position than most.
And if having average matches was a reason for someones stock to drop, a lot of main guys both past and present would've had their pushes stopped and never became stars (though maybe that explains all the start/stop pushes in recent years).

Why was Byron even there? he added nothing other than constantly getting punked by Graves and Booker T His "I'm Saxton!" retort was arguably the greatest moment of his career, though.

They should've left Miz on Smackdown and had them feud over the IC Title over the summer and into the fall, and use that to build up Nakamura going into next year.
Instead he already feels like a failure that has been demoted for the foreseeable future.

They have to be sent by Daniel Bryan, no? Yep. I have a feeling we're about to get months of Shane outsmarting incompetent heel GM Bryan (to cool him off before he leaves) and Owens & Zayn.

Controversial here, but if Owens and Zayn really did go off-script and screw up a TV segment on purpose, I think the on-screen punishment is kind of justified. It's completely unprofessional. And I would never defend WWE over Owens. I would agree, but the whole thing was apparently a big misunderstanding from what I can gather. Maybe Owens would go into business for himself (though I doubt it), but Zayn has never refused to do a job or get beat down (to the point that he had negative star power before turning heel) during his entire main roster run. Not that the entire idea of New Day laying them out would've made sense to begin with, even if it was to build them as a "threat" to The Shield, but given how the main event was booked making sense apparently isn't a priority.

Now I want Dolph to start yelling "OVER SIX DAMN YEARS!" during his entrance. At first I thought the thread title was referencing a line from his most recent "passionate/take notice" online-only promo that he cuts once every six months.

Bayley is somewhat of a hypocrite, she claims to hate hurting people and that shes some kind of role model, yet she loves getting involved in gang beatdowns! This is leading to her heel turn as "Gangbang Bayley" and she will team with a returning Paige to bring back the Submission Sorority.

What are the odds that Vince flipped out backstage because Braun wouldn't sell Shanes shit punches?
I did sort of think they might be setting up a Bryan heel turn a few weeks ago but after the promo segment with Styles last night I doubt it.
Also not sure if Owens and Zayn will cost Smackdown the match, or if Jordan will cost Raw the match, but I think we'll get attempts from both (or at least getting Shane and Angle eliminated).

The WWE Title change was probably based on a bit of panic, at least about not wanting to waste a big Brock main event appearance on Jinder.
The Women's Title change probably had more to do with needing a face to play off of Alexa.

Daniel is dead set on returning to the ring but the dude could as easily manage someone like Gable if he's gonne bring that type of fire... That would be a MUCH better way to utilize him than "face GM whose role is cancelled out by face Commissioner."

Feels like a work that's being booked as a shoot to generate buzz, especially playing off the other talents that have walked out behind the scenes recently. My guess is they'll be off all TV leading up to Survivor Series, Shane will announce that they've been "let go" for actions detrimental to the brand, with Bryan likely disagreeing with his decision (potentially leading to my "Bryan is working with Owens and Zayn" scenario, maybe even other disgruntled talent like Neville thrown in), then they show up unannounced at Survivor Series and cost Team Smackdown the match.
IDK, Owens and Zayn just don't strike me as guys that would go against script, especially with them being in the midst of the biggest storyline on Smackdown and after all the jobs Sami has gladly done for most of his main roster run. Owens was Universal Champion and jobbed to Goldberg in mere seconds. Just not buying it's legit until Survivor Series goes off the air without them having wrecked stuff up.

Jericho is the best self-promoter in the history of the business, at least in a good way. Always thinks of creative ways to get himself over and reinvent himself, while also helping other guys get over and doesn't always need to win a ton of matches to have success or get attention. Nothing but respect for him.

Neither one was a blow away personality. Kennedy was better on the mic. The best gimmick for either was "Dashing" Cody w/the original Smoke and Mirrors theme. Never cared for Kennedy in the ring, whereas Cody was a solid hand and had at least one great match (Brotherhood vs. SHIELD). Cody by far seems to have the better attitude and work ethic, made the most of what he was given.
Based on my personal criteria, it's 3-1 Cody.

I think it was Alvarez that had an interesting theory, that Jordan is really going to be Booker's son and is just using Kurt to get a push, and that Booker knows this and that's why he's so pissed. That would sort of make sense, I guess. That would make a currently shitty storyline into a damn good one! Let's hope Alvarez is right. I actually just thought of a twist on this that I'd like even better: Jordan IS Kurt's son.... with Sharmell!

Putting the title on AJ for at least the next month (and through WrestleMania vs. Nakamura in a fantasy world scenario) would be the best move, so it probably won't happen.

His hate for Jason Jordan is the only thing that interests me about a Jason Jordan match. I'm just waiting for Jordan to win and Booker just says: "man, f*** Jason Jordan, dog." I think it was Alvarez that had an interesting theory, that Jordan is really going to be Booker's son and is just using Kurt to get a push, and that Booker knows this and that's why he's so pissed. That would sort of make sense, I guess.

You always do the job if they tell you to, but it's just another example of WWE almost spitefully failing to strike while the iron is hot with a talent and only wanting them to get over to the level that they think they should be over.
