Just went to the Fight Network site to listen to Review A Raw and Review A Smackdown, saw they weren't uploaded and wondered what was going on, so I went to their twitter accounts to find out what was up.
Been listening to John and Wai for about 5 years. I love all of their Review shows and hope they continue to do them in some capacity.
TNAnthem ruins everything. Seriously. F*** that owl.

If Matt Riddle tones down the weed stuff I think he’s a no brainer. But that’s a BIG if. Heard good things about him but not that familiar.... does he wrestle high? If not, then I'm not sure why he'd have to tone it down. Not to get on a political/societal rant, but there's a lot worse stuff that talent is into that doesn't get policed by the business (even in the "wellness and video games" era). Anyway, I figure it'll probably be Ricochet.

I'm okay with him in gimmick matches with weapons where it's more believable, but only like once or twice a year. Just no more straight up wrestling matches where someone like AJ Styles has to sell for his absurd looking punches (though the ones he threw against Owens to start the HIAC match might've been the worst of all-time).
And I would say no more feuds with Steph, but that's probably asking for too much.

I'm not so sure they're setting up an in-ring return for him.
My theory is that he's now working with Owens and Zayn (he wanted Smackdown to be a land of opportunity for guys similar to him and it hasn't exactly turned out that way), and he'll help them cost Team Smackdown the match at Survivor Series. This way they can turn him heel and cool him off before he returns to the indies next year. Of course that isn't going to work and they'll be super over as a trio.

To reiterate what most are saying, I'm surprised Emma got released since she was getting a decent push. Makes the 50-50 layout of both Asuka matches look even more questionable than I initially thought it was. Of the three, I can see her faring the best on the indies.
Really surprised they let D-Young go since he mostly just does promotional/Be-A-Star type events for them. Really nice dude, but just average in-ring talent and mic skills. I'm sure he'll land on his feet at something, not sure how well he'll do on the indies if he goes that route.
I enjoyed Summer's photoshoots and her run with Fandango. They really needed to keep her as a valet and not have her wrestle. Seems like a cool chick, but her options in wrestling are likely limited. Probably more suited for modeling or other non-wrestling areas in the entertainment field.

Winning show gets the number 30 spot for in the Rumble. This gives everyone a better chance to main event Mania. The winning show holds a tourney or match to winning n the number 30 spot. This would actually be a great stipulation.

What was behind this? I could understand him returning as a manager but I found a video on YouTube of him vs Tracy smothers, why return to the ring. Also how did he go from dok Hendrix back to Michael Hayes? He was still Dok Hendrix in one of the most hilariously awful promo segments with The Brood on an episode of Smackdown (The Attitude Era Podcast review of this segment is HIGHLY recommended), where he got a blood bath at the end of it. Then I guess after that point he just went by Michael Hayes again and recruited the Hardy Boyz to fight E&C.

He wasn't wrong, WWE can't book a face to save their lives.
The ones that manage to get the crowd to invest their sympathy and support in them rarely go over, and the ones that get the Vince stamp of approval and "ride or die" push end up getting inadvertent heel heat. Everyone's better off being a heel.

Sami's great at this pro wrestling thing in general. I'd like to see what he could become if he ever got one of those "ride or die" pushes where the office didn't lose confidence or interest in him and he was consistently booked relatively strong, even with a mid-card title.

I'm more pissed that they've really damaged Nakamura in the eyes of casual fans and dropped the ball with his first chase more than I am that Jinder's still the champion or isn't drawing them money.
There was no reason for Nakamura to be in a WWE title program at all unless you were ready to make him champion at the end of it.

A slow build is fine here considering there's still weeks of build.
Do a few weeks of random sneak attacks by a couple talents from Raw, before a full-on invasion brawl at the end of the go-home SDL.

Sabre makes 6 figures a year and is treated like a star, without having to roll the dice on Vince's erratic personality and booking decisions.

Kane's not the problem and never been the problem.
It's the guy with the book putting Kane over guys that he shouldn't be going over at this point in his career that's the problem.

Did we suddenly forget the other competitive matches Asuka had in NXT with Nia Jax and Emma? Competitive matches are perfectly fine at the appropriate time. The first two matches on the main roster aren't the time to do that, especially against one of the weaker booked women on the roster and especially after you've hyped Asuka up for a month with emphasis on how dominant she's been. The casual audience sees those first two matches and thinks "Huh, what was all that hype about? She must not be that good if she can't beat Emma, who has lost to everyone, in under 5 minutes." Which is fine if you want to establish her as just another body on the roster that loves to have fun and sports entertain, but not if you're trying to get her over as a star.

The problem is this was Asuka's debut before the mainstream audience that mostly doesn't watch NXT, and Emma has been well established as the lowest tier of women that actually get TV time.
If the objective was to have an okay opener and make Asuka just another wrestler, then it did it's job. If the objective was to get Asuka over as a star, have her leave a huge impression, and build her as the next Raw women's champion, then it failed. If you want to do the first, that's fine, but don't then say after the fact "Why can't we build new stars? Can't be our booking, it must be the fault of the talent for not grabbing the brass ring, damn millennials!"

Starrcade 1997. Instead of fast-counting a Hogan 3-count on Sting, Nick Patrick does a normal count, which for whatever reason causes Bret Hart to run out, clock Nick Patrick, throw Hogan back in the ring, restart the match, and Sting wins...
...wait, WCW already did the job of making both babyfaces look like geeks in that scenario, nevermind.
