The issue is that Benoit was an entertainer. Should the WWE have ignored the Von Erichs- a family infamous for mass suicides and abuse- no they put them in the hall of fame. Should the WWE blacklist all wrestlers who died from years of Drug abuse (like Curt Henning) or from Suicide? Should we ever judge an entertainer for anything else than what they did best- entertain us? Don't get me wrong- i don't like what Benoit did- but I don't like the way other wrestlers chose to self harm and destroy their lives either. oh cmon its a completly different situation von erich may have been a piece of s*** as a father but he didnt kill his kids and wife and those wrestlers who died from od or suicide didnt kill there familys either. but back on track his book is damn good but i have to say i wish there had been less fozzy in it cuz fozzy suck. Then you're really not going to like his third book which has plenty of Dancing With the Stars talk. At the end of the day, its an autobiographical book, and music is a huge passion of his - so he has every right to talk about it as much as he wants. You buy a Chris Jericho book to hear about Chris Jericho the man - there is a WWE Encyclopaedia already on sale and its amazing. Foley gave into the pressure in his last book by including a Wresle-Meter, ranking chapters from 1 to 10 on their relevance to wrestling which I always thought was a stupid move. To a typical reviewer, that just comes across as odd and low rent.

Indeed he was just average, and by all accounts, a troll in real life.

By all accounts he surrounds himself with bad people and bad advisors. Own fault.

There's still something cool about him, but I get the OP's point. He WAS way cooler in WCW.
RE his latest run, Punk did own him on the mic. Nothing to do with scripting - just delivery and confidence. Punk ran circles around him.

Some of the first few matches were taped over because someone recorded over a little bit of it with a golf tournament from back then. I'm thinking about buying the VHS for the first few matches. It was actually a decent show. So was Slamboree. That one was not a bad show, particularly for the triple threat tag match. If I'm not mistaken, i swear the two matches I just spoke of were the first two lol If so, well worth checking out.

I remember BBB vs Sandman being off the charts awesome at the time, may have to give it another watch. Juventud Guerrera stole the show that day though.

I don't know what to make of this guy. I've met him at an indy show, he was polite enough to me, I guess. At the same time, there was something very distant about him.
I do respect him though for what he has done, and I know how massive he was in Mexico. But still, I think he does BS a hell of a lot, going from wrestlers reports, Jericho's book etc.

I remember seeing them in a model shop down South. I kind of knew of ECW from PWI magazine, but this was years before I got into the product. Only time I ever saw them mind.

Goldberg vs. Rikishi could be interesting I think. In the same way getting AIDS might be quite interesting. Shaking things up for a while.

And Cena vs. Umaga, which was pretty good. Pretty good? It was an amazing match. Gripping. I'd dare say Cena's best - and the dude has had MANY great matches.

Did he superkick anything? That would rock if he just superkicked animals instead of shooting them. I'd order a every season if that was the case. Invite my friends to watch it and everything. All two of them.
