I started watching ECW in 2000 when Justin Credible was the champion and the end was nigh!
I've wanted to watch ECW on the network, I've seen 1995 mentioned on this thread a few times so would you suggest starting at the beginning of '95 or should I jump in from the earliest shows availble?

2001
The US lost its number 2 and number 3 wrestling companies, and wrestling has not been the same since the competition disappeared.

I actually think he is fully aware of what he is doing. I think he is experimenting to see if buy-rates, ticket sales and viewing figures are affected by having an absent champion, a joke champion and a top babyface who is hated by the majority.
That is my conspiracy theory anyway!

The Jim Cornette Experience is the only show I listen to religiously...ironic considering me and Corny are both atheist.
But I will listen to Bruce Prichard if the topic interests me and Austin or JR if they have an interesting guest.

'Hey kid, why do you keep changing by the garbage? What are you doing out there? 'Because a psychopathic bullying drug abusing double murderer took offence to me eating chicken in the locker room'
Wrestling logic!

Neymar has reportedly agreed to join PSG after they triggered the £195 million release clause in his contract. Could just be paper talk, but if it's not... absolute madness. A week ago I'd have been appalled at Neymar going for £195m...but after seeing Kyle Walker go for £50m it doesn't seem as bad anymore

I definitely agree with you guys that having branching feuds is a lot more interesting than todays with feuding wrestlers existing solely in their own bubble. I guess at least the Mania 15 buildup was far from boring.

In 2001, WWF Magazine ran an article about an HBK comeback that never happened. On the other side of the spectrum In 2003 it actually spoiled Goldberg's debut for me I got the issue a week before mania. I think the WWF magazine might have also spoiled Tazz's debut in 2000 too

I've been watching the Attitude era in chronological order on the network and I'm now two weeks away from Wrestlemania 15. I know the Attitude era is synonymous with "crash tv", but the build to Wrestlemania 15 has seemed to be one huge jumbled mess.
Take The Corporation for example-
Collectively they are feuding with The Ministry over the ownership of the WWF Vince McMahon and The Bossman are been terrorised by The Undertaker Ken Shamrock is involved in a Love-Quadrangle with Val Venis, Billy Gunn and Goldust fighting over his sister Shane is feuding with X-Pac Kane and Chyna are forming an unlikely relationship in their feud with Triple H The Rock is spending most of his time feuding with fellow Corporation member The Big Show, who is also spending his time fighting with Mankind over who will be refereeing the WWF title match at Wrestlemania (which in the end turns out to be neither of them!)
All this is going on and The Rock is barely interacting with Stone Cold...you know, the man he is facing at Wrestlemania in a few weeks. It just seems that there is way too much going on to create a focused and engaging "road to Wrestlemania".
So what do the good people of FAN think about this. Was it the worst build to a modern Wrestlemania or did the sheer randomness make it interesting?

They had very bland matches. The one with Ric Flair as guest referee in 2002 is without doubt the most boring match I've ever seen. It was 30 minutes of nothing!

A big thanks to Rangers for providing the first bit of hilarity for the 2017-18 season.

I just saw on the digital spy forum that apparently only 18,000 people watched the June 19th episode of Raw. They also showed a comparison for the UK viewing figures of Raw for the past few years I doubt those figures (if true) will entice terrestrial broadcasters to get involved with WWE. If it didn't work when the product was hot with a stacked roster of recognisable names, I can't see it working with today's product. I imagine most watch it on demand now though, why stay up til 4am when you can record it for the next day (I say at 4.22 am) I believe that figure includes Sky+ recordings which were accessed within seven days of the recording. Obviously it doesn't include those who watch the subsequent replays later on in the week (the sensible ones who don't waste three hours of their lives on today's product!)

So on the same weekend OSW release this and The Lapsed Fan release an 11 hour deep dive into the whole Chris Benoit story...it's an excellent weekend to be a wrestling fan!

There should still be plenty of room for WWE on Sky Sports. They have Sky Sports Arena & Sky Sports Mix. Also it's rumoured that Sky will be losing some of their tennis and non-international rugby union rights soon, so that will free up some more space for WWE programming to continue. The VAST majority of Sky is filler not having room for WWE is never going to be a problem. How often does the world need to see Emile Heskey's first 100 premier league goals? Very true. I find that Sky is great on weekends (particularly during the football season), but during the week their offerings are quite bare. In fact Sky's lack of content got so bad for me that I had to add BT Sport just to give me some live sport to watch.

The 6 man title match at Armageddon 2000.
It had so much action, had multiple hot feuds interacting with one another and it was the night that Kurt Angle became legit

This is exactly why if I ever get married, I'm dong it at that drive-thru chapel where Triple H and Stephanie got married.
No stress, no hassle, no fuss and no arguments. I hear so many horror stories about wedding planning.
