A bimbo boinking the boss to get opportunities is shady, shameful behavior. It's not "slut shaming" to want to hold people accountable for taking shortcuts, the hypothetical boss who provided the opportunity very much included. How did she take a shorcut when she beat Nattie for the spot? How is this any different from Bayley/Charlotte this week?

Also want to note that the notion of "THEY SHOULD STAY IN NXT LONGER" is a bit crap because it is notoriously terrible for homegrown talent to get Takeover matches. It is a glorified indy show and thats the fans want. Dana had 1 takeover match to put over Asuka, Nia had 1, Alexa/Carmella had 0. It took years for another one (Bianca) to get one and even then she had to deal with it not being "Takeover worthy". Most of them really are just better off learning as they go on the main roster. NXT isn't magic. There is way more to being in developmental than working Takeovers, and if someone is green, then that time spent working under constant coach review and getting in more ring experience before going onto TV can only do people good. The people in NXT are working a really steady schedule to train, boiling NXT down only to its five-a-year PPVs is the notion that's a bit crap. I get that, I'm just saying theres a certain point where even if you aren't super polished, NXT won't help you get better and some are just better off learning on the house show circuit with main roster women. They don't get as much time in ring as you'd think, because there are a ton of women there now.

As much as they want you pretend otherwise a callup is still going to need to be 'reintroduced'. Which is why theres a divide of people "completing" their NXT stories and having to essentially start it again or get another one when they get called up. Sure but again, hype packages, promos, interviews etc can do wonders. That character in NXT can be a foundation that can lead to a new chapter, it doesn’t have to be the be all and end all with a good direction to start off with. Again, the fact this doesn’t happen is mind boggling when you own all the footage. They even own the wXw footage and can get ICW and PROGRESS’ in an instant if need be. They ran video packages for everyone in the group they called up earlier this year. To the point of annoyance.

That's the problem with having 2 people with 2 different visions See but when they bring in that continuity you run the risk of alienating the crowd that doesn’t give any kind of shit about NXT. They pretty much brought Emma over and said “Hey look! Emma from NXT! We all know her!” and thought it was a done deal As much as they want you pretend otherwise a callup is still going to need to be 'reintroduced'. Which is why theres a divide of people "completing" their NXT stories and having to essentially start it again or get another one when they get called up.

NXT wouldn't be NXT if it kept everyone for long.

What an overblown reaction to her. Which will inevitably solidify her spot near the top. Her promo was much better than most of the womens roster at getting a character across.

I'm going with Del Rio. Multiple WWE title reigns and a Rumble win.
I don't see the arguments for the women either, they have much less good history to work with, so of course 2-3 years of actual competent booking will get them some accolades. Charlotte already has quite possibly the best catalog of matches a women in WWE has ever had and I'm supposed to be mad she might get more title reigns than Trish? Nah.

I'm glad 2 people with absolutely no chance of winning are #30 instead of a possible surprise. There are 29 other spots for surprises, and 30 has never been that spot as much as people think. 2008 Cena doesn't happen every year.

Taker was supposed to be in the Fatal 4-Way for the WHC in 2010. Rey broke Takers face on Smackdown, took his spot, and won the title. The Taker Kane title feud took place a little later after Taker recovered.

I'm fine with it honestly. The first one was entirely too predictable and even the first part of the second one was. Plus Truth and Carmella are one of the only teams that does their gimmick outside of the MMC.
And if you haven't realized, some of the injuries were entirely bogus. AJ was replaced solely for Truth to pin Hardy.

Carmella has actually done a pretty amazing job of keeping herself relevant in the last few years. I think she's got more of a wrestling mind than folks realize - all the Ellsworth stuff was her idea and was really what made her relevant. The title run was what it was but she was still heavily featured always. While Truth is more of a supporting player, they're still getting significant TV time. Good for her. Her dad was a wrestler, so it makes sense she 'gets it' in a character/showman sense.

The Round Robin style will give the teams much more of a chance to shine. The Sami/Becky and Carmella/Big E teams were criminally underused last time. I'm assuming thats why they went round robin. It was a completely waste of Big E and Carmella to have matching singlets and all that and then get steamrolled by Asuka never to have another match.

Charlotte didn't really do anything wrong. The entire dynamic currently depends on the "Outside of kayfabe" comparison of how much Charlotte gets and how little Becky gets. In complete kayfabe, Becky is a whiner who got fairly pinned (by a move Carmella kicked out of) in a triple threat match. However, the fact that Becky has been dumped on the last few years and Charlotte is a 7 time champ muddles it.

As I said in the actual thread, Carmella has very clearly outperformed Charlotte since Charlotte came back. She has been off.
