Just picked up Bejeweled 2 for $6.99 off amazon.
Their XBL downloads seems to have been abandoned from the most part with few updates (last game to appear was the classic COD.) But, they've run two pretty much hidden sales so far first for Peggle and now Bejeweled 2, lowering them from $10 to $6.99. They're both from PopCap Games, so I'm not going to get too excited.

Noone recognizable, really. One of my direct great+ grandfathers was Christian Knauss, a Civil War "hero" for the North that has a sword in the William Penn museum. I use hero in quotes, because honestly... noone has any idea on how he earned it. But apparently, it was a pretty big deal as it's decorative with gold, silver and jewels.
There was another relative who was locally famous for some time as a horse thief in the area. Turned out when my dad and grandfather started doing research that he was adopted as a teen after he was caught with two adults in a horse thieving gang. One of our relatives claimed he was too young to be hanged and offered to take him in. Apparently as an adult, he decided to go back to stealing horses.

I met Gordon from Sesame Street in Lewistown years ago. (Kid's Connection). Only celebrity to pass through to my knowledge. My friend and I used to joke that he was the biggest star to ever pass through. Apparently, we later found out that King Kong Bundy and a few other wrestlers passed through as well. But honestly, Gordon has to be more recognizable. Oh, and just found this out a few days ago... MMA fighter Tim Boetsch lives in my town. (He won in the undercard of UFC 117.) Weird thing was, I saw his picture and realized I had seen him downtown a little while back. Easily recognizable at least for this area and makes sense when I realized he ran the MMA school that opened up near the Salvation Army. So yeah, I pay no attention to MMA, really. Oddly, I mentioned it to a friend of a friend I talk to on AIM a bit as I knew he was into MMA and apparently he went to college with him. Finally, my uncle met Davy Jones from The Monkees as he used to live near where he and my parents worked. Also, apparently this past Christmas he performed at the local hotel but I didn't hear until afterwards or I'd have attended.

About to post that. Microwaving is terrible but using a toaster oven, they come out okay. Another good way to reheat fries is with this bad boy... My friend had one in his basement during college. Due to their demand on purchasing so many credits of food and his love of Hardee's, and driving home senior year he ended up with tons and tons of chicken breasts and shoestring fries. They always came out well reheated on that. (And it also made some mean grilled cheese sandwiches)

Just listened to it earlier. (And I don't blame Blade for his bathroom breaks... I had to take two or three during the show and it was likely cut and edited, I'd imagine.)
Oh, and not counting the brief mentioning by Blade for the first ever non-Blade penned Haiku in the "I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY" episode... my favorite moment of the first five years would have to be Blade's dream of Superstar Billy Graham and The Rods in the bathroom. I really wish Dream Theatre would return at some point, although I understand material is come and go (that's what she said.)
And I was shocked by the amount of misses for the horse and then the roofies. I think I got all the questions right except the wheelchair guy. I had that confused with the homeless guy Don... Don Mason did or was going to trade pants with.

It could be done via proxy.
I know a dude from the Netherlands who can make IPs come from practically anywhere... China, Russia, even countries like Afghanistan where you wouldn't expect.

"Twist & Shout". I hear people still claim it's a Beatles song and others will correct them saying the Isleys did it before. Actually, it was originally done by The Top Notes.
And a nice chunk of Elvis's work were covers as well.

I figured after hearing about the wrestling progrem they had, that these were people wanting to get face time and move into acting, because it's really obvious when they want to be noticed. They're so bad at it though, but hey whatever floats your boat. A dude from my high school was on it earlier this year. I think he mainly went just for the trip to NYC.

Just tried out Iron Man on Mutations. Awesome stuff. Great "practice" for teamwork and not relying on certain weapons.

Caught the Eagles-Jags game and my thoughts...
The Good
-First string D looks great. Two 3 and outs on the first two possessions and a whole lot of speed. Allen is fitting in about as well as one can expect for a FS rookie, I think. Cole and Graham are going to be insane.
-The WR corps is insane. It's great to watch teams try to decide whether to double DeSean or Maclin. Not even that, but with Avant's steady hands, a solid pass catcher TE in Celek and even the second tier guys...
-Chad Hall and Riley Cooper both looked promising on deep passes with the abilities to make the team. Hall especially due to his PR which while not explosive, he did well.
-Mallett is looking like a solid backup for RB.
-Kolb is looking like a starting QB overall and a good fit to get for a more true West Coast style. Far from elite, however. (Which I didn't honestly expect.)
-Kafka looks promising to groom. Although with no true veteran on the roster, it might be a little more tricky. (Vick's style is too far different.)
-McGlynn looked good at Center, all things considered (he was Guard, but served as backup to Nick Cole last year after Jamaal Jackson's injury)
-Parrish looked good as a punter and it's a tossup, I think, on him or Rocca. He even did well with blocking for the lackluster special teams...
The Bad
-Special Teams needs a lot of work on stopping punt returns. A LOT of work. A LOT OF WORK.
-Kolb showed some Red Zone problems which is not going to go over well. I think he's also going to have to remember at points in the red zone that there are players other than his roommate and friend Celek on the field. The last thing I wanna read or hear is Romo-Witten crap. Vick showed some as well.
-Vick and coaching need to reevaluate his ability to adapt/learn or else the playbook because he looked ugly half the time. It was like bipolar ball... quite a few plays it was like he couldn't decide whether he wanted to run or throw. He doesn't seem to handle pressure well, either. Granted, some of that probably had to do with second string. But he wasn't exactly rushed the same ways last year in Wildcat and he has to understand he's not as fast as he was when he was a Falcon. His INT and fumble were both just boneheaded plays.
Oh, and McCown looked really good for the Jags.

This. It was a fun movie, even though it will never be confused with great. Plus, it wouldn't get all the negativity it does if it wasn't for the fact that it "killed off" Lucas's computer graphics division that lead to Pixar. (And I used quotes there because yeah, it did cost Lucas a lot of money but he had gone through a divorce and the licensing rights to Star Wars were at an awkward aging point so they had basically dwindled down in funds.) Besides, it gave us this.

So there's a free avatar helmet from Metro 2033 floating around on THQ's french website. (I hear it was on US's but they probably ran out of codes or something.) Anyway, you go to fr.thq.com/fr/Register Click on the link in the confirmation email Click on "Enregistrement Produit" Pick 360 then when the second option pops up, click on Metro 2033. It'll ask for codes, but you can just click submit. When you do so, a code will pop you can redeem for a weird bird helmet. The code seems to be universally accepted. do you have to keep the country of origin as france? I did, but I'm not sure if you have to.

Chad Hall is set to handle punt returning for the Eagles in their pre-season opener against the Jags.
Really great to hear as I've been wanting to see DeSean more limited in that role.
I'm also really looking forward to seeing Hall in action. Dude's only 5'8" but was recruited by the Air Force to play QB, then was switched to running back and return specialist before adding WR to his arsenal senior year. I'm not going to get my hopes up too high, but Reid plans to use the Wildcat, he's looks to be a solid weapon.

I used to have recurring dreams as a kid where I'd start jumping and kicking a bit and end up "flying" (it was really more like low gravity). Then the fear of falling would kick in along with the Icarus effect I guess and I'd freak out as I'd slowly start to fall. They stopped around the time I got over my fear of falling when I started jumping off the top of our fenced pool deck which was ten-fifteen feet high onto the ground nearby.

So yeah, Kinect use to be so good it could actually read your individual fingers. What did this mean? Well for one, it meant people could use sign language with the thing. What happened? Microsoft cutting corners is what happened. To lessen their losses should Kinect utterly bomb(and it looks like it probably will), MS basically gutted several things from Kinect, so Kinect more or less went from a highly advanced peripheral that COULD do awesome things to....well...what it is now. Now, of course, this also means that if Kinect DOES succeed, you can fully expect MS to roll out a new Kinect model down the road that has all the stuff they gutted put back in..... And I really don't get it. $149 is too much for most people to shell out for a peripheral that doesn't even appear to have a blockbuster or arguably even solid lineup from what I've seeing and reading. They really should've just shelled out and raised the price if need be if they can't get the thing out as is for under $100. I mean, arcade sticks go for $149-ish new. I gotta imagine they're cheaper to produce and arguably they have a stronger lineup. Granted, their niche... but nothing so far tells me that the Kinect isn't going to be itself.

My copy of Blue Dragon has been sitting on the shelf for about two years now, and I thought I should probably finally play it... and... umm, well, I really shouldn't have played it. Just now I spent two hours on this game (yeah, it's not much in a JRPG, but here it was enough for me to see that the gameplay and characters are just... generic and boring as hell, really), and the only thing I liked was Nobuo Uematsu's soundtrack. Especially the boss battle theme ("Eternity") which, while admittedly ridiculous, is simply awesome even though it sounds REALLY out of place in a game like this. Seriously, it's got Deep Purple's Ian Gillan singing and doing metal screams! Ian Gillan!I've almost bought that game about a dozen times so far, but never have.
