I didn't know that Pacman was not allowed to wrestle. I just read it here somewhere, but I didn't quite believe it...
...well, I was wrong. The match was crap and useless. Now that I know that Pacman Jones will NOT wrestle I think he is a HUGE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. If he was allowed to wrestle it would have been good since I really hate the gimmick (in a "Hollywood Hogan" heel heat way) and would love to see him get his ass whooped, but since this will not happen he is USELESS.
Damn! Now Team Crapman will have to face Tomko/Styles and it makes me really sad that I will not see Tomko beat the living shit out of the Crapman. DAMN!!!

Bret Hart was pretty big in Germany in the 90's. So was THe Backstreet Boys, Aaron Carter, and David Hasselhoff

I think very few qualify for this:
-Hulk Hogan (the most obvious) -Randy Savage (he is still mentioned, quoted and remembered, mostly because of his voice) -Bret Hart (barely, but I think he is) -Ric Flair (barely, but I think he is, especially since people from all ages know him) -Steve Austin (perhaps a little more than Flair and Hart)
I think mainstream entertainment programmes, who like to comment on pop culture are a good indicator on who can be considered a household name. Bret Hart and Savage have appeared on The Simpsons and Family Guy, Ric Flair can be seen in several movies when someone is watching wrestling. Hart, Savage and Ric Flair probably can be considered "typical pro wrestlers" in the eyes of pop culture. People have seen them, people associate them with wrestling, most people know their names. Guys like Cena, HHH, Jarrett or Sting maybe be very famous, but they are probably not famous enough to be considered household names.

This is such a mismatch. James Storm is pure awesomeness in his heelishness, while Roode seems like a sorry joke.

It was pretty ok.
Things that were good: -James Storm's AA segment (!!!) -Raven's match with Samoa Joe and how Raven dodged Joe's typical spots -Abyss gets semi-pushed and gets to pin Angle (which of course means Angle will retain at Sunday) -That they are giving Tomko some kind of tweener character -They really make me hate Team Pacman, I really, really want someone to kick Jones' ass into oblivion
Things that sucked: -Pacman Jones' micwork -Not enough time and the need to include and push all feuds leads to jobbing out Kaz and Raven

Let me add another special hype of heel:
The local heel. Bret Hart could piss on the American flag and be cheered in Montreal, while security would have a hard time holding back pitchfork wielding rednecks in some parts of the U.S.. There was no chance that Berlyn would get booed in Germany, if they wanted the Germans to hate Alex they would have had to give him a real nazi gimmick with swastika and hating on jew. This of course would have spelled the end for WCW in Germany because of the law.

It depends on the heel's character.
Let's take Muhammad Hassan as the prime example of a heel who is completely convinced that he is 100% in right in the things he says (which I agree with) and probably follows a philosophy that could be described as "wrestling utilitarism" in which even his heelish actions are necessary for the greater good.
Then there are heels who clearly know that they are evil, but perhaps think that they have to do what they do, guys like The Ministry Undertaker - a devil worshipper. It doesn't get any more evil.
Psycho characters think that what they do is right. And in this case we come to the afforementioned Mick Foley. Mankind was an insane creature who just had to do what he did, even if it was absolutely evil.
But THEN, there are characters, who KNOW that they do wrong, but their ethics are just so f***ed up, that they don't care. They know they are "going to hell", but they don't care. An example for this is Randy Orton. He knows that he injures and hurts people. He does not want to beat his opponents in a clean way, he does not care about sportsmanship, but he looks for an easy way for his success. In a hypothetical "wrestling court" he could not plead for insanity, although he would try to weasel out. Remember the movie "15 Minutes"? The main villians were heels who knew they were wrong.

Can we safely say that Andrew Martin is blackballed from wrestling in America forever? Wonder if he's still dating Kelly Kelly or if that terrible wrong has finally been righted. What so wrong about that?

I hope for a better product. In 2 hours they could really develop storylines better and have better and longer matches. If they get an extra hour I really hope they don't drop the ball and put out a product that is superior to WWE's crap (again). At the moment they are on par, which means both promotions pretty much suck.

I didn't watch any wrestling, let alone TNA in those days, but this seems like a worked shoot to me. I believe Russo partially believes his own crap, but I think he pretty much knows that he did NOT help WCW with many of his crappy ideas.

2 minutes into it I decided to not go on since I prefer to lose brain cells in more entertaining ways like getting drunk, getting really drunk, flying headbutts, boxing Mike Tyson... hell even smoking crack is perhaps better than watch some stupid youtube kids wank out their stupid "shoots" on [it's cool to "shoot" against them these days]

In WCW, Bobby Hennan would always call Randy Savage the most dangerous man in professional wrestling. That's stupid, everybody knows Paul Roma is more dangerous than any weapon built by man.

MCMG by far. I haven't seen Cade&Murdoch for months, since I watch very few WWE TV shows and no ROH shows every. I sometimes watch Impact, but not regularly anymore. However, even the 90 seconds in which they got squashed by the UBER-lame VKM showed that they are awesome.

I agree on his complaints about the MCMG squashing part, that was plain stupid.
