It’s also funny/pathetic to me how Bischoff knocks Bret for not being a draw but brags about how Kevin Nash still makes money off of the nWo and how he made him a much bigger star than Diesel ever was. Ok Eric, you took Diesel who wasn’t a draw and turned him into a megastar, but I guess Bret wasn’t worth the same attention.

To be fair Bischoff and WCW didn’t really know how to use anyone. They blew it and got completely lost with their own hottest acts - Sting, the nWo, Goldberg, Flair and the Horsemen, DDP...the list goes on and on. It’s a miracle Bret got the handful of memorable matches and moments that he did.

I'm legit angry about this. If they didn't have a plan for Bret, why spend the money?! He wasn't hurting for work and in Vince's estimation was an active drain on their resources. Literally no one benefitted from this call but WCW's competition, and for Bish to now throw up his hands and say "well, Bret should get some of the blame too" is straight up 100% grade A bullshit. But...but...they needed talent for Thunder!!

Ah, '91; they couldn't turn him because their "put scales on him and pretend he didn't used to wrestle here before" plans were just too damn big. All seriousness, Ricky was just too good to turn. Did he even do anything in ‘91? All I remember is him dressed like a dragon on the jobber shows and blowing fire. You don’t remember his HUGE Summerlam 1991 match? The wind! The power! The fire!

I’d rather see the Hound in WWE. Why not both? #CleganeBowl for Mania 35! BOOK IT, MAGGLE! Would be a hell of an Inferno Match

Watching the DiBiase episode as my first one. Can’t believe they put it as TV-MA with a language warning, yet “f***” is censored. They censor all the F’s on that show. Gotta get the F out still.

1998. Over the other years there was some good to great moments, but for the most part, everything past Mania 15 just feels like stale attempts to redo the lightning in a bottle of 1998.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen someone mistakenly refer to this match as a 30 minute or 45 minute match. Shows how much was packed into it but none of it seemed rushed or pointless.

I can’t stand Eric Bischoff. But I gave this a chance because I’m such a big fan of WHW and STWW. I thought it was pretty enjoyable. Looking forward to hearing about something that hasn’t been covered as much as the first topic. Also, it’s easy to be honest about a massive success like Hogan’s turn. Let’s see if we get the usual bs next week.

I say this about Boss Man, he is one of the few people that worked programs with Hogan and Austin in their hey day. How many others can say that? Undertaker is the only other guy that comes to mind.

Maybe I don't pay enough attention to the podcast, but hearing Conrad say "rumor and innuendo" time and time again gets pretty grating. Chat me up, why do you feel that is? Well, you know...

What’s the topic for today’s episode? What happened when the Mega-Powers exploded.
