I think we actually kind of got to see DX Hall and Nash for a couple months when Russo took over WCW. The match with the strippers, the wandering around backstage getting drunk on cough syrup, the Vince impersonation, the Sid impersonation….That all felt more DX than nWo.

Goldust and the Stalker faced off a couple times in 1996 in the WWF a few years removed from Dustin Rhodes and Barry Windham holding WCW gold together.

Hey, Mickie kicked a young George Washington's ass in that 1741 match. Wig powder flying everywhere. Terry Funk was the guest referee. He had to do something to pass the time in retirement.

Owen as Vince’s guy going against Flair in 2002 would have been pretty interesting to see.

Ricky Steamboat has as many marriages and ex-wives as Ric Flair.

Too bad he didn’t feud with Chris Kanyon.

EL Dandy, Evan Karagias, The Wall (brother!), Lodi I doubt El Dandy belongs on there.

They did sue. They took Sting to court, but he handed the judge a baseball bat, turned his back, and then left. I remember that. It was right after his defense attorney and character witnesses all turned on him.

It would probably set the world record for amount of atomic drops in one match

Yeah, Awesome was Horace’s cousin. Is it known how Hogan and Awesome were uncle and nephew if Awesome and Horace were cousins and not brothers? As far as I know, Horace's deceased father is Hogan's only sibling. As far as I remember I think it is like an extended family thing. I don’t know that Hulk and Awesome shared blood. I just remember it being talked about way back then.

This week's episode was about Spring Stampede 2000. In talking about Mike Awesome, Bischoff mentioned that he was the nephew of Hulk Hogan. Is this common knowledge? I was totally unaware of that. Yeah, Awesome was Horace’s cousin.

I didn’t realize that Bret didn’t main event a single pay per view as WWF champion after winning the belt at Mania. Piper/Lawler closed the King of the Ring, then Summerslam and Survivor Series were closed by Undertaker matches.

Ole Anderson telling Ric Flair he was no good to him since he lost to Mr Perfect on Raw. This was a few years after telling Undertaker no one would ever pay to see him wrestle.

Bischoff’s bizarre vendetta against Ric Flair through the entire year is up there as well.

This was actually a really difficult choice which just goes to show how horribly they self-destructed that year. I'd add all booking decisions related to Scott Hall that year. Fans were begging to see him and Nash together as faces and they refused to give it to them. It’s kind of funny, I look back so fondly at 1998 as a fan and wonder how they could have screwed it all up in 1999. But when it’s laid out, 1998 really was a mess. They were coasting on and starting to screw up what they had built the last couple of years and relying so much on gimmicks or quick hot shotting. It was clear they were completely lost in 1998 as well.

Because Austin's gun wasn't real in the end. But what about the pee? That was working pee.

I’ve seen people swear that Savage/Steamboat at Mania 3 was anywhere from 30-45 minutes.

Maybe as a one off match on Raw either as a obstacle to get to whoever he’s really feuding with or as a red herring setting up a feud with someone else. They did do that. The two faced each other on Raw in July of 1996.

The other thing I would have liked them to expound on was the tough position they put the announcers in, having to be like: 'the rest of this stuff is fake, but this is real!' I kept waiting for that to be addressed. Surprised it wasn’t.
