Up and coming promising mid carder Scott Hall never recovered from Austin's burial of him at Wrestlemania.

This one begins and ends with Alberto Del Rio. He had a bizarre non face turn where he beat the Big Show for the world title on SD, but there was no actual turn. Then he started cutting "I was wrong" promos and feuding with Jack Swagger. The big problem there was that Del Rio himself espoused similar rhetoric to what Swagger and Zeb were saying only a year earlier. He actually turned face when someone went after Ricardo. Yeah. The 2004 turn was justified. He beat C**** B***** cleanly, and Triple H was butthurt because his "young boy" won the title and he didn't. This would have worked much better if it was built up more instead of having them throw him out the night after winning the title from Chris Benoit. Yeah, it would have been so easy to build up some resentment between Orton and HHH going into Summerslam.

I know some people bash it, but I truly think Heenan's "WHOSE SIDE IS HE ON" at Bash at the Beach 1996 was great. Had he actually said "Man, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am so glad Hogan's here," to me, that would have made the turn more obvious. Of course Heenan would say that--and Heenan had been wrong about Hogan for 15 years, why would anyone believe him at that point? I think all three were perfect. Dusty's "Who bad now? Who bad now?" The Brain's line you mentioned, Tony's "Hulk Hogan you can go to hell!" All iconic.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton happened for the first time at the Eddie Guerrero Memorial Raw 2005 But did they ever face off after that?

1993 was the first time that the WWE title was defended in the main event of the Summerslam. Was not. I stand corrected. I thought Hogan/Quake closed the show, but you're right.

Bret and Austin at Survivor Series 1996 was a brilliant match that was overshadowed by the Mania match.
Foley and Taker had a great feud two years before the historic Hell in a Cell match.
The British Bulldog and Warlord faced off at Wrestlemania 7 before their classic at Tuesday in Texas.

I will preface this by saying that I've long been a fan of Dolph Ziggler the in-ring performer... But his character is so beyond obnoxious and skeevy right now that there's no way they're not building to an eventual heel turn. Whatever this is just isn't working as a face. Then again, they've continually booked Cena as the obnoxious babyface for over a decade, so they probably don't see the problem here. I don't mind the whole shoving it in Rusev's face thing because it's just meant as a f*** you to an abusive boyfriend but the whole thing before that where they literally come out as if people are buying their ticket to see Dolph and Lana profess love for each other is so gagworthy. Like a really annoying Facebook friend who can't get over the fact that he has a girlfriend and never shuts up about it. Dude, I've been trying to figure out what Dolph's gimmick was for like 10 years now and you just nailed it.

1993 was the first time that the WWE title was defended in the main event of the Summerslam.
1995 would be the first time that the WWE championship match ended in a pinfall at the Summerslam.

Goldberg ughhh. That Sting heel turn on Hogan of all people. What was saying they was trying get over "the only thing for sure about Sting, is nothing is for sure." The fact that they cheered when Sting hit Hogan with the bat was even more hysterical. It completely backfired on them. Same with Goldberg turning heel. They didn't realize that fans weren't going to boo Sting or Goldberg at all. The best part was that video package they aired on Nitro afterwords that tried to make it look like every thing Sting had ever done was part of some heel plot.
