I'm guessing Undertaker was only given the World Title because the European Tour is coming up. Thats the only reason why he's got it I believe. CM Punk, is this guy the next Edge? Never destined to have a long title reign? I need to ask, what does the European tour have to do with putting the title on Undertaker?

This is what we get when we have 4 weekly wrestling shows & 12+ PPVs each year. Overexposure runs rampant. This. Its not so much the 4 weekly shows that take anything away (as they usually have nothing to do with one another) but 12 PPV's a year is just too many. If the WWE were to just cut that if half and have 6 PPVs a year it'd be okay. You'd have two months to build up feuds and storylines. If someone wins a belt at a PPV then holds it for two more PPVs before losing it, that's a four month title reign. I just think it'd be so much easier on the booking team if they didn't have to worry about shaking things up at a PPV every single month. 3 weeks is just not enough time to create a solid feud. 12 PPVs wouldn't be bad if they were split like they were prior to 2007. But since then it seems they're trying to get through everything possible while squeezing all three shows in at once.

The funny thing is, if he turned heel, he'd prolly win his matches clean, never cost himself a DQ or demand title shots he doesn't deserve, or get angry with no reason for it.
Yanno, the opposite of what he was as a face. Which seemed to be to act like a heel.

If they would throw someone new into the mix on occassion I wouldn't mind the constant title changes. Actually....yes I would. It kills the credibility of the title and the wrestlers if they cna't hold on to the belt for long and the melt just gets tossed around like a prop. Which, really, in the eyes of the promoter, is what it is. But no, the constant changes are getting annoying, and it's getting near breaking the record of changes that occurred in 1999. It'd be nice if one new guy was elevated this year to at least becoming a man eventer, but even that's failed to happen.

I'm sure when he's down in the dumps he likes to sing with the radio, and even play it real loud. Cuz it tells him everything it knows.

How have we gotten this far without mentioning Ultimate Warrior? Wins the title on the biggest stage, faces only like, Rick Rude for the title, the rest of that reign's spent teaming with the Road Warriors, loses it to Sgt. Slaughter during his Iraqi sympathizer gimmick. What more's there to say?

And yet looking at how he's portayed now...the little "He's like the Terminator!" line in The Marine doesn't exactly help your argument, either. How does he act like the the terminator now? Also, a joke line from a movie doesn't really mean anything. Especially considering the T-1000 was in the same movie. Maybe it's because I haven't seen the movies in a while, but aren't Terminators supposed to be, idunno indestructible? Like how John Cena recovers so quickly in his matches? And barely loses?

The "word" at the time was that Vince had finally figured out that Shannon Moore was probably never being groomed for the TNA main event after all. (Supposedly, Moore's wife had convinced someone in the WWE that hiring Moore would have been a great coup while sabotaging TNA's plans) So this was, if you believe all that, a way of cutting his legs out from under him before sending him packing soon afterwards. Moore was around for quite a while after this though. When was this promo? mid-2006... I went to a house show in early-2008 where Moore and Jimmy Wang Yang were in a tag. Yeah, this promo happened in 2006, after Moore's ridiculous run over in TNA. I barely forgot it even happened.

No he shouldn't have. The prototype was basically a terminator gimmick and it was stupid. And yet looking at how he's portayed now...the little "He's like the Terminator!" line in The Marine doesn't exactly help your argument, either.

Since my localt MyNet affiliate's been airing high school football games and delayed SD, I haven't had the same opportunity to watch the show, but at the same time I imagine like half the city wondering how they'll ever watch thse young kids play football.
That aside, this is pretty bad. Now that MyNetwork is MySyndicate, you can imagine the numbers for Smackdown aren't going to get any better. So the question is, what happens now? Does WWE chop the block, or do they do their best to shop Smackdown around elsewhere?

It sounded piped, but it wasn't "OH MY GOD IT'S JOHN CENA!" levels of pipe. More like "Hey, it's a good guy, I should cheer for him, but...who is he?"
Also, I don't get why they took out the commentary during that bit...or why they changed his generic theme, for that matter.

Looking at these promos, all it did was A) establish Moore as a bitch in the WWE ranks, and B) become a waste of time just as soon as Punk slapped him.

Have the Divas train to wrestle, not wrestle the wrestlers.
And if that's not a vague enough statement, I dunno what is.

whether it is WCW or TNA it doesn't matter. For that matter, any celebrity paid to be on WCW. Except David Arquette. His money went somewhere good.

I don't like this kind of comeback. If the wrestler is popular you should let the audience know he is coming back. Build it up to be something huge maybe pop a rating. Coming back with no announcement just makes the crowd pop while the ratings stay flat. Not necessarily. Survivor Series drew one of the worst buyrates in its history last year and it was built around Cena's big return. If Edge surprisingly shows up somewhere and it's a show I decided not to watch, it tells me that I can't miss WWE TV because something awesome might happen, even if it looks mundane. Royal Rumble: Cena's surprise return. Buyrates are higher than last year. Survivor Series: Cena's announced return. Buyrates are slightly lower than last year's that focused on the return of Edge. I gotta say, this sounds about right.

I would like Cena more if he didn't try to constantly badmouth The Rock for not having as much "passion" as him, and thus unintentionally compare himself to The Great One (which he's clearly not even in the same league). Hey Cena, how's this for 'passion'?? Oh good god... Cena has never "badmouthed" Rock or claimed he has more passion. Cena has said that he feels the Rock went back on a previous statement that he would remain in wrestling rather than go to Hollywood, which is an uninformed and ignorant position to take, given that Rock was pushed to do more films by McMahon and the WWE allowed his contract to expire rather than pursue keeping him in wrestling or just under contract for their own use. However Cena has never insulted Rock, or done, say, an angry Jim Cornette or Scott Steiner styled shoot on the guy. Indeed, Cena has said that he greatly respects the Rock, is a fan of his work, and more than anything, is just disappointed that the likelihood of him and the Rock having a match is slim to none, despite the fact that Dewayne is healthy and, if he isn't already, could be in ring shape without much trouble. Cena is wrestling's current biggest star, reguardless of the fact that his star doesn't shine as brightly as Rock's did, nor Austin's or Hogan's. To think that Cena wouldn't want to have a match with one of the biggest stars in wrestling ever, especially considering he has inherited essentially the same position in the WWE that Dewayne once had, is misguided. Rock had an epic match with Hogan that pitted that day's biggest star against yesterday's biggest star. Cena, and likely Vince and the entire WWE, if only for the hype it would carry and the huge buy rate it would likely produce, would like to have a moment like that with Rock. Seems perfectly understandable to me. Furthermore, the Rock is not some sacred cow who is beyond reproach, (not that he's done anything to really deserve it, mind you). Real life isn't like high school. You don't really deserve to be a pariah if you say anything that isn't blind, ego fellating praise about the popular kid. Not to rant here, but there's plenty of legitimate reasons to bash John Cena without misconstruing a few off hand comments and making it seem like Cena has just drug poor Rocky's name through the mud. Also that indy fed Rock showed up for is run by his cousins. It's not like the guy is just popping into random feds, though even if he was, it wouldn't mean much in a debate about, "passion" anyway. Part of Cena's thing with the Rock, at leasr around WM24, was that he felt the Rock needed to come back because "he owed it to the fans". This coming from a guy who's put over...well, Edge possibly, although we could debate that one for five pages and get nowhere. Whereas the Rock was at least nice enough to give others a push, such as say Hurricane or Brock Lesnar. Heck, he even showed up to an indy promotion for a rare appearance. Granted it was part of his family's business, but the point stands that he gave those fans something to talk about. So while it may not have sounded like that, a lot of people on these boards groaned when Cena talked about Rock and felt he was craving attention. Myself included.

This was the big problem, for me, with Breaking Point. Had Cena not won, then HIAC could have been a bigger deal, and we could have at least scene this feud continue until Survivor Series, but WWE pulled the gun too early.
So now it's a matter of just how they're going to make someone look credible enough to face Cena. Miz? I wish, but let's remember how many times he lost to Cena. Swagger? Possibly. Cena only faced him once, but the fact he won that match just says that Cena's beaten the guy already and there's nothing left to prove. Big Show? Name a PPV match in the last six years Show won against Cena.
So, yeah, cornered booking team, what are you to do?

So...wait. Cena tapped to the Walls of Jericho, but still won by DQ? What? I didn't watch the show, and I don't intend to, but I want to know what happened with that. He got to the ropes, ref did the five count, Jericho refused to let go, DQ ending. Jericho still held on, but since it was over Cena tapped post-match. What a copout... "CENA TAPPED! CENA TAPPED! But, except that it happened after the match, WHICH DOESN'T COUNT! CENA NEVER TAPPED!"
