It's not a boxing match, it's a boxer vs. wrestler match. Even if it were a boxing match, leaving the ring only counts as a knockdown(your head goes under the top rope). You have a 10 count to get back in.

$20,000,000.00 is kayfabe. There's no way to make a profit paying one of the guys that much.
I predict a complete and utter squash, with Show going over after limited, inneffectual offence from Mayweather. He'll do about as well as that boxer Show decimated on RAW a few weeks back.
Well, I can dream, can't I? If Mayweather goes over, it'll be the biggest travesty in pro wrestling since LT over Bammer at WMXI.

When did Jeff Hardy ever say "I'm not an addict"? I don't recall him ever saying anything of the sort. And, if he never denied it, he never lied about it.
I don't see why everyone jumps down people's throats for Drug Use. It's jeff's/Ken's body, let them do to it what they wish. If Hardy or Kennedy had a problem, they should get help for it. WWE, on the plus side, offers any employee or past employee free rehab. On the bad side, The WWE Wellness policy makes that a hard choice to make, because you'll lose your livlyhood if you do it. Drug use is reacted upon very badly in out country. Help people with their problems, but don't punish them for, what ultimately, is a victimless crime.

That's what squash matches on Wrestling Challenge, Superstars, and All American Wrestling are for...oh wait, they stopped doing that...
BRING BACK SQUASH MATCHES AGAINST UNKNOWN JOBBERS!
...
AND SYNDICATED WEEKEND MORNING SHOWS
Well, at least Kofi Kingston can still get in a jobber squash every Tuesday. I wish hEat was back on TV. Then these guys could at least wrestle on there. Or, they could try and fit more than 5 matches in a 2 hour show. And I thought 1998 was bad for lack of matches... Back in my day, Prime Time Wrestling was an hour long, and we had 4 or 5 matches! AND THE BARBER SHOP!
Well, enough ranting. The WWE Has so much potential talent, and they waste it. OK, I'm still ranting, but I digress.
Santino should beat Jericho for the IC Championship in a few months. At a house show. They could air the match on RAW the next week or something. It would be a fluke win, with his legs on the ropes or whatever. He then plays Honkey Tonk Man, and acts the chickenshit heel, and steals sandwiches/title retentions for the next 8 months, until he loses at Wrestlemania to the next Mid-Card rising star. In a 45 second squash. That guy would get over huge. Possibly Ultimate Warrior in 1988 huge.

Onw with one weekly live show and one weekly segment show(Ala Prime Time Wrestling), as well as weekend morning syndicated shows featuring mostly jobber squashes.
One with only one "Brand".
One without McMahons being pushed down my throat every week.
One where you never see the on-screen athority figure, unless something BIG is happenening. Said figure should be entirely neutral in terms of face/heel alignment, never play favorites, and be as fair as possible.
One where non-titles matches almost never happen.
One where titles aren't hot-shotted around month after month.
One with a women's division that means something, as opposed to useless filler. They've got Victoria and Beth Pheonix. Find 5 or 10 more girls like that, and you're set!
One with less PPV's
One with less expensive PPV's
One that tours in my area more often.
One that keeps kayfabe, at all costs.
One where wrestling trumps entertainment.
One where they get the 'F' back in.
I could keep going...

I've seen the match. I saw it live. It was goofy, it was abnormal, and it was obviouslty convoluted by the two, but it's impossible to prove.

Jake Roberts is a master of the DDT. He's perfected the move to a level no one else has. Hence, his are more effective at knocking the other guy silly.
Stingers are not the desired effect of a piledriver. They are an injury that is supposed to be avoided. The desired effect is to knock the guy out, but leave him otherwise uninjured. I've never actually seen this match, so I can't comment on why Owen walked around like that.
Sgt. Slaughter is a good wrestler, and a great military stategist, but he has no idea how to run a wrestling promotion.
HHH and HBK had a legitimate match. It just had a quick ending. Prove it otherwise. Slaughter couldn't, so he has no power to do anything.

- When you're thrown over the top rope, why bother to "skin the cat" when you could just land feet-first on the floor, slide back into the ring and sneak attack your opponent in about 1/3 the time?
They do this to show off for the crowd, silly.
- Why don't headbutts ever knock anyone out cold?
Some do. Bam Bam's flying headbutt was known for this.
- Why aren't wrestlers ever disqualified for throwing opponents into the ring steps or slamming them through the announcers' tables?
Those are part of the ringside enviroment. It's the same reason you're allowed to slam your opponent's head into the turnbuckles. Contrary to this, it was illegal to post your opponent in early 90's WCW. I saw quite a few get disqualified for that.
- Why do champions sometimes wrestle non-title matches? Wouldn't that increase the likelihood of injury when it comes time to defend the title? Who decides that a mid- or low-card wrestler is entitled to a non-title match?
God, I hate non-title matches.
Also, Open-fist punches are legal, not illegal. Sleeper holds are not a chokehold, they are a stanngle hold. They cut blood off to the brain, not air through the windpipe. MMA usually calls strangle holds chokes, for the sake of idiocy I assume.
A finisher delivered at the beginning of a match wouldn't be enough to pin the opponent. Hence, you have to wear them down first.

Bischoff had a protable office that they set up in every they went to. I thought everyone knew that. It always had the same decoration, even.

Lots of questions. Here's a few answers.
Undertaker was never supposed to actually be dead.
The Slingshot works legit. Try it sometime. You have to keeo your knees bent though. The guy it's being done to will forcebly stand and be thrown forward. Pro wrestlers usually exagerate this a bit and jump with the momentum.
I assume big promotions like the WWE Actually keep win-loss records. Even if they don't, some people do. Chris Jericho, for example, has the results of every match he's ever been in wrote down. I think thee's a copy on his web site.
I don't know about Austin and Tyson, but a good wrestler can always take a good boxer, if he can get ahold of him or take him down. Boxers have no idea how to fight on the ground. Additionally, if all you can do is punch, you're a poor fighter.
Manager's liscenses can be applied for at your state's Athletic Commission, if applicable. They also give out wrestling liscenses.
Suplexes are about leverage. The wrestler on the receiving end takes a bigger impact because there is more leverage acting upon him. This goes for superplexes as well. The Law of Conservation of Angular Momentum assures the guy taking the move gets hurt more.
Wrestlers climb ladders slowly because they are tired, the ladder is on an unstable surface(rings are padded and often set on top of springs), and because there's more drama that way.

That's just everyday heat. If you hate the heel, they're doing their job, and you're acting as expected.

I think that people who say "X-pac heat" doesn't exist don't understand what it really is.
X-pac heat is "Boo! I'm changing the channel/getting a soda" heat. If one with "x-pac heat" were a champ, on a long streak, and a face beat him, you wouldn't mark. You don't want to see the face beat him. You don't care if he loses. You don't want to see him at all. You want him off your TV/out of the arena. You boo him, and then you change the channel or leave.
Maria has "x-pac heat" with me. Most of the WWE Women do. I mark for Victoria, Beth Pheonix, and, to a lesser extent, Cherry, however.

Apparently, most of you think I'[m an idiot. But, you actually voted on "I'm an idiot", meaning the person who voted. So you're all idiots! HA!
Seriously though, I really like wrestling, and I know alot about it, but I've never been any good at predicting. However, I think I'm on the ball this time. Only time will tell, I suppose.

I'm calling it now. Here are my Wrestlemania predictions. Let's see how close I am.
# Candice & Maria vs. Beth & Melina -BunnyMania Match-;
Lame, boring, useless filler match. The faces go over. I think Maria's a face, right?
# 24-Man Battle Royal for a shot at the ECW World title; Lots of people are going for CM Punk. I think that feud's over, as Punk lost cleanly to Chavo Jr. So, my pick is Kane. A bit of a long shot, but that title'd be good for him, and he'd be good for the title.
# Chavo Guerrero vs. [Battle Royal Winner] -ECW Title-; Again, I'm gonna go with Kane. If Kane didn't win the Battle Royale, then I'll pick whoever did. In any case, Chavo's going down.
# John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Fit Finlay -Belfast Brawl-; Fit Finlay wins a hardfought match.
# Umaga (RAW) vs. Batista (SD!) - Brand Supremecy Match-; This is a toughy, but I'm gonna go with Umaga. Both guys are over, and a heel has to win some matches.
# 4th Annual Money in the Bank Ladder Match; Hmm...I was sure it'd be Jeff Hardy, but he's out now. So...either John Morrison or MVP. I'm not sure which. No, scratch that...Ken Kennedy for the repeat. Or...one of the three...
# The Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather (Boxer vs. Wrestler); Big Show in a total squash. One can only hope. If Mayweather wins, I'll be pissed.
# Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels -Career Threatening Match-; I think Shawn's gonna go turn heel on Ric and kick him in the face at some point before WrestleMania. I was very surprised he didn't tonight in the cage match. I suspected that from the beginning of Smackdown, and even more so when the commentators began speculating on why Vickie allowed Shawn into the match. In any case, I see Ric Flair winning in one of the greatest matches in either man's career, and continuing to wrestle for at least another month. More below.
# Edge vs. The Undertaker -World Heavyweight title-; I think Taker will win by DQ or Count Out, and Edge will retain his title. He then goes on to feud with Ric Flair, who wins the (WCW) World Heavyweight Title at Backlash. He then retires of his own accord, on top, with the belt he made famous. Or he keeps going as champion. Either way is fine with me.
# Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Triple H -WWE Title-; Cena overcomes the odds yet again, and begins another year long title reign. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing. I just wish they'd only bring him and the title out every now and again, and not have any non-title matches. He can do a tag match or something at the "IYH" PPV's, and defend the title at the big ones, and maybe once a month on RAW or something. That would kick ass.
After Mania, we'll have several new feuds. Flair vs. Edge. Heel HBK vs. Cena perhaps. Kennedy vs. Morrison or MVP, or maybe Jericho for the IC Title. And Several others I can't begin to imagine.
So, what do you guys think? Am I an idiot, or am I on the money?
