TNA doesn't even let Taimapedia update it's LOLTNA section. Each week is just another L for TNA Is Taimapedia even still a thing?

I remember hearing it was gonna be a Benoit heel turn, with Punk losing match after match but getting closer each time just like the JoMo feud. Then again that was near ten years ago so I might be wrong It would've been far more convincing for him to lose to Benoit repeatedly than Morrison, who hadn't yet hit his stride in 07. Losing to him repeatedly made Punk look like a total goober. That plus the few times prior to that feud during WM season for MITB where Punk very easily beat Morrison as Nitro. You couldn't get me to believe Punk couldn't beat that same guy just because he changed his name and everything.

as always Big Show hitting that moonsault, he busts it out once a year, still a thing of beauty. it doesn't matter he missed it this year. the ending to the main event was unexpected. yup, I do this same thread every yearRight?! I mean whoulda thought Kurt Angle could out wrestle Roman Reigns AND Triple H in his condition?

Well they did a good job of keeping out any material that made Triple H look good, ie. The crotch chop and mocking Roman's fist pump.

I'm gonna be a bit bold and say Rey or Kofi should have been facing Edge for the World title at WM25.
The setup was right there; of the WWE Superstars in that particular Elimination Chamber match, they got screwed over the most; Kofi by being attacked by Edge to steal his spot in the match and Rey for being shoved out of his pod by Edge. It could've even been a triple threat match and we could've gotten some decent and fresh matchups going into it.
But NAAAAAAH let's just do Cena vs. Edge AGAIN and throw Big Show in there too! TOTALLY not a rehash of the WM24 title matches except all the contestants are switched around and no Undertaker!
...Holy SHIT I'm bitter...

Here's the speech again: Just oozing of authoritah. Now...here's a hypothetical for you. Let's say Heyman was in this same scenario where ECW signed Hulk Hogan on to a multi-year deal worth more money than any of his active stars combined. Insane, but hear me out, let's go to this alternate universe and ask ourselves, how would Heyman spin this into a positive if he were in Dixie's heels? Because I bet good money the first thing he wouldn't do is put this on live television for his audience to see.

See I give New Day a bit more leighway because they didn't do something as stupid as, say, turning face while still pretending to be a woman in an angle that somehow got steered in every wrong direction. And then keeping them connected to celebrity guest hosts. And THEN having them lose so often that when they DO win a match they're not only taken more seriously but ALSO destroys whatever aura was left of the heel you had go over your top babyface less than a YEAR ago and having to rebuild them back up by winning the midcard title off a MUCH more popular babyface!
...Yeah, I'm still not over that.

In all fairness I wondered why this commentator named Jerry Lawler was going by a king gimmick when I saw him for the first time in 1999.

Either way I'm kind of convinced this match's only real purpose is the same as the Reigns / Bryan one last year, where it'll be, "Okay, the guy you people like more? He lost. He's not getting his shot. Now cheer for Roman already." With the possible additional intention of, "See? Triple H beat one of the guys in the match everyone's hyped for. That means Reigns / Triple H is the bigger deal." That or they might have Dean win it, possibly due to Reigns interference, just to lose it back within a week or so, the logic being, "There, now he's a former champion to more be on Brock's level, and now he's had the belt so you people hoping for it and feeling like he's being held down can get it out of your system and boo Triple H for taking it from him." Except, as we've seen with Bryan, having such a short title reign will get people to call bullshit on everything and demand Ambrose get his proper retribution.

What's surprising about this? Instead of overanalyzing, I'd rather see some FRESH AND WELL-BOOKED WRESTLING PROGRAM That's the thing, to people like you and I nothing about this is surprising. But if WWE looks at these two shows and still thinks Roman is the way to go, well, there's the surprising factor.

Last week we saw Raw end with Triple H beating the tar out of Roman...and he was cheered.
This week we saw a much different, less bloody beatdown on Dean Ambrose...and Trips was booed.
It's really, REALLY sad thinking that this show just proved why Ambrose deserves to be in the main event over Roman, and yet they'll prolly stick to their guns on the current 'Mania main event.

To call the man even a poor man's Santino Marella is...kind. And I didn't really like Santino after WM25.
I liked Eric at one point. I thought the feud with Roode was going to lead to a serious turn for Eric and a push up the card. But...then it went to a feud with Storm for that beer championship of his. Then he went to Super Eric. Then...I don't really remember. He was doing stuff until the heel turn with World Elite, which I couldn't take seriously because I remember him a lot more for the cornball stuff he did, and it was too fresh in my mind when he suddenly joined WE AND took over as leader somehow! (Which was the same reason I couldn't take Jimmy Jacobs and Age of the Fall seriously.) So THEN he becomes a mentally challenged face again, wins the TV title, finds the old TNA World title and claims himself "World" champion as well, had a feud with some TV child star, won a Knockout-exclusive tag team title SOMEHOW, then...Daniel Bryan 2.0.
I'd have loved to like the guy, but TNA made it hard when they were all over the board with how they wanted to push the guy!

I liked him in the Attitude era, felt like he didn't need to be around if he wasn't getting a push by 2003, and really, REALLY didn't want him in ECW in 2006.
Though to be fair, that last one mostly had to do with what I felt ECW didn't need, the hoss type wrestler dominating guys that were around to relive their good old days and bringing relevance back to hardcore-style wrestling. Yep, glad that lasted...

All that sweet pillow talk went to Chris Harris' head which led to his ego problem toward the later part of his TNA run. After he got released from TNA, Bob stopped making phone calls to him which led him to eat himself to death which led to Braden Walker and showing up twice the size of Braden Walker when he came back for those two shows (and that house show). There are a lot of things I disagree with Meltzer on but anyone who is an enemy of the shady Bob Ryder clan has my utmost respect. I know a lot of people have sympathy for Jeremy Borash but he is not the very professional guy that a lot of people view him as, he's the gate-keeper to the Ryder clan and has an over-inflated ego of himself.Quite literally so.

The way you guys describe RR15 sounds like exactly what happened with the Elimination Chamber at December to Dismember '06.
'14 at least sounds like everyone had fun until Rey came out and people realized Bryan wasn't in the match. But it at least built to a payoff and a change in plans that everyone could appreciate.
'15 seems to be the exact same deal to Reigns as DTD was for Lashley: "f*** the fans, we're getting rid of your favorites so that our handpicked star of the future can get a satisfying end against the Big Show. Suck on it."
You know what they say, those who fail to learn from their own history are doomed to repeat it.

A lot of talk about Samoa Joe here.
Losing to Angle? Personally speaking it didn't kill off his aura, and he did have a short series with Angle following Genesis '06. Really not that bad.
The switch up to Umaga knockoff with a penis painted on his face? Oh yeah, that was stupid, but nothing that got me shouting at the TV, just laughing my ass off.
What became my boiling point with TNA was how much effort they put into that crappy gimmick, having Joe "kill" the members of the MEM, and reach the top of the KOTM ladder to put the World title belt over the ring...AND HE HANDS IT OFF TO KURT f***ING ANGLE, REVEALING HIMSELF TO BE A MEMBER OF MEM.
A second opportunity for Joe to become champion, wasted, ALL BECAUSE SOME f***ASS FROM NEW YORK THOUGHT IT'D BE A GREAT f***ING SWERVE TO PULL ON A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WHO WERE BEGGING FOR SOMETHING FRESH IN THE MAIN EVENT SCENE, SOMEONE THAT WASN'T A WWE OR WCW CASTOFF, BUT NOOOOOOOOPE! f*** THAT SHIT, I'M VINCE f***ING RUSSO, AND I'M IMMUNE TO YOUR CRIES OF BULLSHIT! GO WHINE ABOUT ME ON THE INTERNET AND SEE HOW FAR IT GETS YOU!
I could feel my muscles tighten up just typing about it, THAT'S how mad it gets me!

It honestly should've died years ago, but its death should've marked a turning point in the way TNA is booked and how it presents itself. The X-Division served a clear purpose in 2002: the WWE was still the "land of the hosses", there was a booming indy scene filled with guys who would've otherwise been signed by WCW or ECW during that era, and a lot of the smaller, high-flying, harder-hitting, submission-specializing talent was screaming out to be highlighted. It worked for TNA then: they needed the older, slower guys in the main event scene to draw people in, and thus had them gunning for the World Title, but the hook was the X-Division, since it was something you couldn't find on WWE television. Years go by, and suddenly it's no longer clear why anybody would want to be X-Division champion: AJ Styles, after all, won the World Title, and eventually so did guys like Joe, Aries and Sabin, so what was the point to holding what is clearly now a mid card title, but one without a clear mission statement or clear reason for existing now that the "X-style", which needed all the attention it could get in 2002, was now mainstream? It should've led to TNA reorganizing things; either introducing a truly dedicated mid card belt, or shifting the X-title to more of a "for new wrestlers/wrestlers under 25 only" status, or just doing something to indicate that the guard had changed, and that the old X-Division stalwarts like AJ, Joe, Daniels, Sabin, Shelly, Aries, and others, were now the top dogs in the company, and would thus be gunning for the World Title. Instead, they brought in a mid card title AND kept the X-title, and never figured out what it was really there for, so it didn't feel like it meant anything anymore. And while the X-Division title slowly lost it's identity the midcard title never found one of it's own and became one of the most useless championship belts in the history of pro wrestling.

The sidte does make a note that the accounts can't be confirmed, so I'm taking most of that with a grain of salt.
But it wouldn't surprise me if Hogan and Cena are legit on there.
