It's very hard to get into those later episodes knowing some have been taped 5-6 weeks prior.
TNA is clearly in damage control as well. Those shows mentioned in the OP have gone from House Shows to One Night Onlys and now TV Tapings. Not good.

Dysco, Her story is that she had a cup of coffee in the dying days of WCW, Dated CM Punk for a little while whilst working the indies and then had a relatively minor run in TNA for a couple of years and then there was a big legal case that she most likely cannot talk about. That's basically it. It isn't a long exciting story like you make it sound. I get you're probably a big Daffney fan but legit the only interesting thing she can talk about is her bi polar issues and if I want to hear about what bi polar can do to someone I can just go and watch a documentary about sufferers of bi polar on YouTube or something. Then you throw in the fact she wants 10 grand to publish this thing and a further 15-20 dollars per purchase for literally an hour or two of her sitting there talking about her relatively minor wrestling career. People don't have an issue with her wanting to make some money and wanting to tell her story that's fine but this is a cash grab. Surely you're not going to deny that this is Daffney milking her remaining fans for whatever she can get from them. They already funded her surgery that TNA wouldn't pay for and now they have to fund this book she wants to publish that she's going to profit from? C'mon dude... People have bought shoot interviews from people who have spent considerably less time in major companies than Daffney... What makes their stories more important than anything Daffney has to say? Places like Highspots are full of DVDs by people who haven't really done a thing in wrestling, who haven't stuck around the business as long as Daffney has, yet her story is seen as one that isn't worth hearing? I can't understand why that is. I'm not a big fan of hers to be honest, yeah, she was a unique presence, but there have been better female stars, but I admire her initiative in this venture. All wrestlers try to make money from their fans after their time in the spotlight is over, either by appearing at indie shows, selling merch online or doing shoot interviews with other people, no-one is forcing anyone to spend money they don't want to. Most people who do have shoot interviews aren't requesting 10,000 dollars (Plus 15-20 per book) to tell their story though. My major issue with this is that she's requesting 10 grand and people are actually believing that she needs 10,000 dollars to get this story out there when in reality she needs a video camera and a back drop. That is cheating the fans, lying to them and really overvaluing her story. I understand the need to make money but maybe Daffney should consider a 9-5 job if she's that hard up for money. Lying to people and trying to milk them for everything they're worth is really poor behaviour and is almost on the level of Virgil.

Hypothetically if I made this thing and it was in the States I'd go with the following:
1. It would be a wrestling school combination because having a wrestling school is the only way to make money in the indies these days unless you have a big budget. I'd have a former big time wrestler or respected indy guy in charge of the training and would throw him a couple hundred a week to train guys at the wrestling school.
2. My trainees and local performers would be expected to advertise and sell tickets. I'd host a trainee rumble or trainee 8 man tag each show for workers who could sell 10 tickets each. This would result in me selling multiple tickets for the show and filling buildings before even throwing advertising up.
3. All shows would be ran from our wrestling school location to make the most of the lease/rental fee of the building. Occasionally I would run trainee shows as well in which it would be just friends and family of the talent coming out.
4. Every 3-4 months a "name" would be brought in, I'd recoup funds via training seminar, the draw and autograph signings. Each talent would sign items for me that I could ultimately put on eBay or sell at future events and of course the seminars would be great to make money off of.
5. My show would be a store. By that I mean when you walk in you'd have a stand for food and drink, a stand for promotion related merchandise and a general wrestling booth. Most independents have just specific show stand and that's it but why lose any profit? Odds are if you're selling a Pepsi at the concession stand for 2.50 the person is going to buy it instead of leaving the building and finding a store. Same with general wrestling merchandise, if you have old WWE stuff with a recognizable face on it people will buy it.
6. Actual talent wise I don't think I'd spend too much on the talent or bring in "indy darlings" to draw a crowd. Most workers would be trainees or local guys in the area who are desperate to work. Most would get paid about 20 bucks a night except for the occasional name who is brought in who would obviously get a few hundred
7. Production would be high for an independent. I'd probably buy a nice lighting rig, some smoke machines, nice ring, nice aprons, nice banners. This would be expensive early on but it's definitely a worthwhile investment. Nobody wants to go to a show with 2 out of shape independent guys brawling in a ring that looks like shit for a WWE Championship Belt with a sticker on it.
8. I'd try and offer some type of season pass. Maybe for 120 dollars a year you can have general admission ticket to every show, meet and greet with any "name" I bring in and special access to a YouTube site where you can watch any show you'd like for free. That would be like 200-250 dollars value for 120 bucks. It's a pretty sweet deal.
Basically my entire strategy is to stay small, small shows but maximum profits. Everything would be a subtle cash grab but in 2014 I don't think any independent can really make solid money month to month regardless of how low the cost is.

So that's what happened to Shane Douglas... I love this, a jolly man in his 30's paying a bitter man in his 40's to rant on people who don't remember he exists.

I'd ask where Todd gets all his money, but we know where, he works for Best Buy. Now being a former employee of them myself, it's virtually impossible to clear over $22k/year with them. He spends thousands on his autographs, and celebrity custom vids. Where exactly does he get his money to live on from? Is his family wealthy? Is Todd a savvy Wall St type? Is he a business Tycoon? Perhaps Todd used his street smarts, and turned a pyrmimd scheme upside down, and made millions from it? Oh, the possibilities! I imagine he probably still lives at home or something. That would be okay if he were in his 20's but at 37 it's sad. A lot of these guys will throw 5-10 thousand a year into these conventions so I imagine Todd spends at least half his yearly wage on these things if your number is correct.

I mainly only visit the forum. Have clicked the banner accidentally a few times but I don't want to sift through My Little Pony and Power Rangers to get to a good wrestling article or something.

Anyone find it a little amusing that the biggest star on this show is Maria?

To give you a legitimate answer I think most of your heels would be way over the top. A common story line would be their top baby face fighting off a heel or a group of heels who are trying to take over the world.
The baby faces would be your clean cut good guys who will fight for the world and don't have any issues with anyone ever.
I imagine famous Disney characters would be involved also. Hulk Hogan, Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse taking on the evil Paul The Giant (Big Show) Mortimer Mouse and The Big Bad Wolf in a Six Man Chamber Of Horror Match.
I'd tune in.

There's better choices out there if they decide to expand/replace their announce team down the line. Im genuinely interested in examples of better free agent commentators, especially on play by play. (please do not read sarcasm into this, I mean it) Jim Ross (Don't know if he's retired as an announcer or if he'd be willing to come back) Scott Hudson (Probably debatable but I feel he's better than Tenay) Todd Grisham (Again, probably debatable but I have a soft spot for Grish) Apart from those three there aren't a lot of better options out there.

I only know the major ones
AVGN used to be really cool, Still enjoy him to an extent but once he became "Internet Famous" he seemed to have come off as a bit of an arrogant jerk. Also his random cinematic things are rarely funny.
RWJ: Same as AVGN. Used to really enjoy him and will watch some of his stuff occasionally but once he got famous he kind of lost his edge and became a bit of a dick
The Nerd Plays guy: Used to really like him and would watch his stuff to see what was good and what I would possibly play in future. He then got a girlfriend and presumably started getting laid and he's lost his self deprecating edge. Plus, a rich guy who has a girlfriend way out of his league isn't really a stereotypical nerd anymore, is he?

I think this occasionally happens to everyone. It's hard to explain but basically the word no longer makes sense and you try and overanalyze it and think it's a strange word etc.
Happens to me once every few months so I wouldn't be worried about being insane, OP

This is a massive pet peeve of mine as well. I don't expect a response within a day but if I ask you a question and you're running around liking things and making statuses for the next week when you've read my message and not responded it's really rude and annoys the shit out of me.
It bothers me so much that I will remove people off Facebook who do it to me.
The second biggest pet peeve is those annoying Tumblr girls who take nudes of themselves and eventually get a big head because they think they're famous. THis is usually your most cliche girls with their "I LOVE SUCH AND SUCH" comments on everything.
Also in the same category is skinny nerd guys who take photos of themselves topless and are pink knighted by the nerdy girls who post their nudes on Tumblr. Eventually those guys get big heads and think they're way hot as well when they are not.

Arcades: There used to be one of these in every town. Now you need to travel to major cities (At least in my state) to visit them. The joy of your mum or dad handing you a 10 whilst they ran errands or had coffee next door was awesome and with a 10 you were a king.
Dial Up: Okay so Dial Up sucked but I'm nostalgic about it. The feeling when you're playing a game online and someone calls the phone is something no child should miss out on
Innocence: Going to be honest. I didn't know what a real vagina looked like until I was 14 years old. Kids these days see that stuff way too young. I'm all for sex education but 11-12 year olds watch pornography and start experimenting at a very young age these days. Hell, there was a story a year or two ago where a couple of nine year olds had some kind of sex act in the middle of class. The fact that by 11-12 you know what sex is and you know some positions and may have already experimented is horrible to me.
VHS: I'm still quite the fan and have some VHS of old wrestling shows but they simply don't exist anymore unless you're on eBay or a second hand store.
Video Rental Stores: I remember as a kid every Friday night it would be Pizza and Video Rental night. This would be about a 15-20 dollar night and I looked forward to it from Monday on. My town used to have 5 rental stores now there is only 1. The fact kids won't be able to experience the disappointment of the video game they wanted being rented or the excitement of the store having the newest game in stock is so disheartening.

Here is the card I expect:
Jeff Hardy Vs Sting
Kurt Angle, Magnus and Christopher Daniels Vs Austin Aries, Bobby Roode and James Storm
The Bromans Vs Eric Young and Joseph Parks
Gunner and Manik Vs EC3 and Frankie Kazarian
Chris Sabin Vs Kenny King for the X-Division Title
Zema Ion, Wes Brisco (Making his return) and Bully Ray Vs Dewey Barnes, Mr Anderson and Samoa Joe
Hernandez and Rockstar Spud Vs Norv Fernum and Jay Bradley (Making his return)
Chavo Guerrero (Making his return) and Sam Shaw Vs Rob Terry and Knux

Yeah, AJ is one of those guys who can make 3-4k just to show up and another 500-1000 in merchandise. Even at just 1 booking a week that's probably more than TNA was paying him.
Plus, if this rumor about Jeff Jarrett opening something up is true then I could see AJ going there.

Why Sandman of all people.
If they're going to do a worked shoot why not go with a wrestler doing a worked shoot gimmick? Surely that would draw more than "Random ex ECW Champion Vs World Boxing Champ"

What is so interesting about Daffney's life apart from the fact that 14 years ago she was pretty hot. I mean, at best she's had 3-4 years in a top wrestling company so is/was basically an independent women's wrestler who had some managing gigs in the big time.
People are donating because she's on Twitter or Facebook plugging this thing and you have a few creepy women's wrestling fans who want to be her friend throwing money at her to get this thing out there.
In reality, if she gets her 10 grand (I think she'll get half) then about two thousand dollars will go into buying the equipment she needs and the rest will be "payment" for her doing the audio book.

If TNA were dying, they wouldn't sign MVP to a contract. I hope this puts to rest the rumors of TNA's demise. WCW in their final 3 months signed the following: Air Paris AJ Styles Cash (Kid Kash) Chris Daniels (Just a tryout but was offered a deal allegedly) Jason Jett Michael Modest (Just a tryout like Daniels but was allegedly offered a deal) Road Warrior Animal Steve Corino WCW also didn't release a majority of their top names because they couldn't afford them. All because TNA is trying to stop the bleeding a little bit by signing a guy with some name value doesn't mean they're not going out of business.
