But that spinner belt just looks cheap Which is funny considering its the most expensive belt they have ever made BY FAR It may look like a lot of things, but CHEAP is not one of them Psh the million dollar belt cost a million dollars. I highly doubt the spinner is more expensive than that!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I didn't like about Bash at the Beach 1996 was when Hogan was coming down, Bobby Heenan kept saying, "Who's side is he on!?" I know that many anticipated he would be on WCW's side, but I think Heenan suggesting over and over again that Hogan could be the third man took away some of the surprise. It would have been slightly more shocking had Heenan assumed like the others that Hogan was going to be on the WCW team. Does anyone else feel this way or was that just me? Several on this board have said this, but honestly the majority didn't or just thought it was Heenan just being Heenan as he's always said things like that about Hogan in kayfabe. Just the wrong time that's all as he honestly didn't know Hogan was turning heel that night. Still it didn't do anything badly for the heel turn as it went off without a hitch. For those of us that watched it live when it happened, we didn't have it ruined at all. I probably sat there as a 10 year old kid going "Stupid Heenan and him always hating Hogan". Hell, when I go back it and watch it 13 years later... it adds realism and continuity. I can remember watching that match still and my reaction of just being 100% completely appalled that Hogan had turned on WCW. I was 10. I remember being incredibly pissed off that night. So yeah, if you watch it live and in the moment as a fan of WCW where Heenan still rags on Hogan... you can definitely see it.

I think I would've preferred an accidental looking chair shot to Jeff versus the blatant with Jeff assuming now Matt was responsible, Christian then returning saying Matt paid him, and Edge trying to gain Jeff's trust..
Only Matt not being responsible at all with E&C orchestrating the whole thing.. and taking some elements of Sting/Luger when Luger thought Sting had turned nWo which led to the Crow Sting to make Matt into a loner character out only for himself, but eventually allies with Jeff because he can't overcome E&C himself.
And of course, you have a TLC match with The Hardyz vs E&C and THEN you have Matt turn full heel saying that's what Jeff gets for not trusting him.

It's Wrestlemania. There's going to always be a celebrity type match. Why not a guy who gave wrestling the best positive mainstream news coverage in ages? Rourke vs Jericho feud is fine. Just no match. Have Jericho attack Rourke after telling him he's lost touch with his roots, the business, he's no longer the Lionheart.. hell, he has no heart. Then Rourke sides with someone like Punk or an indy guy who's been around for awhile (Danielson could work if the rumors are true about WWE wanting him) or even Van Dam setting a WrestleMania match with Rourke in that guy's corner. And Rourke of course provides some sort of interference to cost Jericho the match after he cheats. Something like that would be fine with me. Love it. However rather than having Rourke be punking out Jericho, which almost makes Jericho the face, I'd have it in reverse. I'd have Rourke be Stephanie's special guest for an in-ring interview, where he comes out and pays respect to the business and the wrestlers themselves, before an uninvited Jericho comes out. Jericho could then call Rourke a disgrace, saying that he doesn't deserve all this fame and glory because he's done nothing in the real wrestling business. He's only a wrestler on the big screen with stunt men and costumes. Jericho then slaps Rourke, ambushes him ,etc. Punk or someone comes out for the save. This could either lead to a mixed tag match, which would be a cool way to get Rourke in the ring without the responsilbility of having to carry a match alone. Or they could do something similar to the Lashley-Umaga match from WM23. I like your take on it. Minus the mixed tag match part... Rourke in Punk's corner to even out Jericho's cheating seems to be the perfect way to way involve Rourke without cheapening WM with a potentially bad celeb involved match. The best celeb appearances have been the limited ones in the last 15 years.. Drew Carey, Pete Rose, Mike Tyson.

I see it becoming Edge vs. Jeff vs. Matt & Christian with both M&C playing the jealous brother role, but Jeff and Edge still feuding with each other before going onto feuding with their brothers.

The best feuds are always when the heel thinks he's right.
I do look forward to seeing how Christian fits into the equation now..

Didn't Kerry Von Erich use the Claw for a little while in WWF before switching to the Discus Punch? I have memories of Lex Luger using the Torture Rack, but I'm not sure how long it lasted before he went for the Running Elbow Was Tito Santana's Figure Four just used during his feud with Greg Valentine? Luger used the Torture Rack for years in WCW. He beat Hulk Hogan for the World Title with it at Road Wild 97.

From good ol' Wikipedia...
Lockwood debuted as Crash Holly, the on-screen cousin of Bob "Hardcore" Holly (Robert Howard), on the August 16 episode of Raw is War in 1999.[2] The relationship between the on-screen cousins was strained, with Hardcore frequently threatening Holly.[1] He was often seen carrying a weighing scale when he took on the gimmick of claiming himself to be well over 400 lbs, along with Hardcore, so that they would be considered hea

Yeah... wrestling fans typically have a limited lifetime as fans. You get into as a kid watch through high school.. by college, you're out. I'd say is how 90% of people I know are. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule.
So Vince has gone in cycles to recruit a large kiddy fanbase, then as they grow up the product grows with them. It also gives wrestlers double the TV stay time because big stars have to reinvent their personas to grow with the edgier product ie Bret Hart and Hogan last time around.

It is pretty sad how CNN edited Cena's interview, but let's face the facts they were trying to destroy the whole business after the Benoit incident. Actually, they've pulled this crap before. And that had nothing to do with steroids, it was an interview with Mick Foley about backyard wrestling. They seem to have a grudge against wrestling for some reason. Or maybe just the WWF... Remember who used to own CNN...

Stories like this are another reason Vince and Co will fight forever to keep wrestlers as independent contractors as it will mitigate their responsibility in these situations.

This was about when people here started thinking they were going to market ECW as an alternative brand that was focused on much more exciting wrestling ala the ECW style of old. Vince was actually going to say there was another group of wrestling fans that he was going to try to capture with ECW. People that preferred wrestling over interviews. Angles over storylines. Wrestlers over "superstars". That maybe in some slight way this new ECW would have the feel of ECW.
It was like the theory of time travel that even if you make changes to the past... everything will eventually make it's way back to the way it was supposed to be despite the bumps in the road you caused. As if your efforts never existed. That's how I feel about this promo now... even though at the time.. that promo made me feel like a young, uninformed fan again who really cared.

1, Fire Russo 2. Kill Russo 3. Hire Heyman Well, I've heard an onair broadcast of murder would be a pretty high ratings getter. I have a feeling Hulk Hogan would lend an appearance free of charge, hell, even pay to appear on that episode given the way he speaks of Russo.

Completely off the wrestling topic...Nip/Tuck puts even Vince Russo to shame when it comes to how confusing the show is. I once tried explaining the story arc of all the seasons for the main characters to a friend.. it took about 30 minutes... and they still did not understand half of it.
If you want to be able to enjoy TNA, watch Nip/Tuck it'll train your brain.

Road Warriors/Midnight Express is the only one I found remotely fun to watch.
Dreamer/Lee was AWESOME to watch in the old ECW Hardcore TV trying to sell tapes ads for High Incident (i think).. however, seeing the entire match ruined it for me.
